When recieveing incoming call phone laggs when I want to answer, when I touch the circle to answer it moves slowly and it takes a second or two to stop ringing when i answer . Is this happening only to me or anyone else noticed this ? Its LG Optimus 4x HD.

Never had that problem, it takes less than a second to answer
Yes, happened to me too.
However I've just performed a test and the 'circle swipe' theme has gone, replaced by a nice clean square theme, which looks and performs much better. Not sure how I've done that...

Figured it out. Not sure if this is the same for everyone:
* If my phone is locked and I receive a call it displays the laggy 'circle swipe' theme.
* If unlocked, it displays the 'simple square' theme, which works much better.
Got a feeling that circle theme shouldn't be there, seeing as it performs so badly.
same here.. its something to do with locked/screen off..
and the lockscreen/phone app itself
the 3D drivers..
god help us all..
i wonder if any koreans are complaining to LG too.. or is it jus us?

yep is true is only when is locked the circle and it lags a lot, I missed some calls bcz of it bcz I had to take out of my pockets and out of pouch then it's even pain in the ass to take up call....
Same exact issue here, but I don't seem to have a different theme when unlocked.. Always displays the laggy one, even when browsing etc.

+1. I have this problem.
The circle responds slowly.
are you all running root'd models with the /data/local.prop still on your phones? maybe you are running in debug mode? you can see this with adb (if you know it or use it) otherwise just try and disable/remove the LockScreen.* from /system/app folder

I have same problem before, but finally I find that the hz of cpu(off screen & in call)in the setting of app "setcpu" is set at the lowest value, it is a main reason for the above issue. When I set the value up to 640 hz, the problem has been solved.

Does anyone know how to make the lower buttons, back, menu, search, and home buttons not light up when I receive a message our missed call while using the NoLED app?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I don't believe there is that option within the NoLED app. The BLN has to be built into the Kernel I believe.... I'm sure there will soon enough be a supporting Kernel for this as there is much support for the Galaxy series phones and this sort of thing. As I am not a dev I have no idea how easy/hard it would be but I cant wait
The op was trying to turn the lights off not on. As far as I know it just needs to be updated for gingerbread/ns so that the bottom lights don't turn on. You can follow the original app thread here. It looks like the dev won't be working on it til after the holidays.
Why not to use the flash led as in the desire?

As in the camera flash? Well if your phone is laying on it, that probably doesn't work too well
Plus that LED is bright. Not sure what it's power requirements are compared to using NoLED.

That's what Back Light Notification (BLN) is and it needs a supporting kernel to be ported over.
Didn't want to start a whole new thread just to ask a question, but for whatever reason, NoLED doesn't work for me. I'm on Android 2.3.1 running stock (not LP or AWD). I've read the FAQ and I believe I have everything set up correctly. I call myself and miss it and I've emailed myself (different accounts) to test it, but I don't get anything on my black screen.

did you use the widget to turn it on or restart the phone? personally i don't like it, i had my phone fully charged and had about 4 notifications bouncing around, not sure if thats a lot but it drained my battery to 16% in about 3 hours.

Yes to both. I have the widget set to "on," restarted my phone, and before, made sure all the settings were correct.
Still, nothing shows up after sending myself emails and giving myself calls (didnt' pick up, of course).
Doesn't seem to work; I'm running 2.3.1 with stock launcher.
Just read the FAQ. It's the "No Lock" app that's preventing NoLED from functioning. That's a shame because sometimes when I'm at home, I dislike having to swipe or enter my pattern key to unlock the phone.
NoLED works fine now. Thanks y'all.

But there are some missteps
1. Camera does not have manual/touch focus anymore. There is just Automatic and Face tracking.
2. Moving cursor gesture (double tap on side) is not present there. It is insanely stupid move on LG part to remove by far the most useful gesture.

Agreed, if you compare stock ROMs. For example, Gueste Good-Bye and DM are definitely zippier than this, so I am hoping for some good custom stock-based ROMs to improve on performance. Bottom line is that for me the current ICS release is very usable as a daily driver.

I am not having any problems with the stock ICS ROM, in fact every of the above mentioned features work for me. You can actually change the focus yourself while you are using Auto focus mode, the camera app also comes with possibilitiess to adjust the ISO value and white balancing. Wi-Fi works for me good as well, i am not having any problems and i must say the battery life of the O2X has been increased a lot with this update.

I find the LG dialler requires more finger presses. But I'm coming from the Song Xperia dialler.
New call: Go to dialler. Possibly not on the call tab so click that. Start to type name and some suggests come up. Click on the [v]. Select the person/number to call. And now the bit that annoys me, press the call button. If I click on number why not just call them, why show number and wait for me to press another button?
Call back: So I missed a call. Go to dialler, go to call logs, click on the call I missed. Show the contact details. WTF? So now I click the phone icon and call. Yes I know there is a little call icon but I'm used to clicking a phone number and it dials it. Not have to locate one tenth of the call log line to start a call.
Anyway, I'll get used to it but I do think I have to do more work for simple calls versus other diallers.
Wow. That is as clear and concise an answer as I could ask for. I wish my wife would answer simple questions like that, but I have to ask her twenty follow-up questions just to get an answer to the first one! So, I do see what you mean, and I have found it at least a little annoying myself. I guess I just accepted it as the way it is. Never really thought to look for a different dialer, but by golly it just might be worth a look now. Thanks for taking the time to give such a thorough answer. I hope you type much faster than I do, but I use Swype keyboard.
Does the original Dialer needs to be uninstalled first before installing Google-Dialer 3.00?
-> If yes, where to get that original Dialer found and uninstalled?
How about if Google-Dialer will be updated in future to 3.xx?
- Auto-Update or manual update needed?
- Link to webside to be able to always have the latest version installed?
Thx
It's crashing on me. Where can I get one that works?

Ive had no issues with this. Been using it for a week or so & has been flawless.
Also been working for me with no issues. Combined with the Google Contacts app and then Calendar, Clock, and Calculator, throw an icon pack into Nova, and I seriously feels like I'm stock. Very very happy.
as soon as i click on the icon i get "Unfortunately, Phone has stopped" message.
There are several versions out there. It would be helpful if ya'll would specify which version is or is not working. I am running the 2.05.07_rc4 with no issues. I haven't tried the 3.0 version yet.
Hi guys
So, I got one of these 4x global last summer, and I'm very happy with this phone, but I have an issue with the vertical swipe to answer incoming calls
I'm used to the "normal" horizontal swipe from my previous phones (I had some Samsungs, and a couple of Sony's Xperia, still have an old Z1 compact when my 4x runs out of battery), and I just can't get used to this vertical swipe.
I did a search on google play apps for some call screen apps, and installed some 10 or so, but none of them worked well
My phone is running the stock Marshmallow 8.2.18.0 (by the way, it should have been already updated, but the update tool says there's no updates available)
Did any of you had the same issue? How did you solve it?
Regards
Antonio (Portugal)

You're using MIUI's default phone app? Most of today's phone interface uses vertical swipe to answer calls. There's no setting available to change that from the app itself.
Maybe try to change the phone app, download from play store and see which one is good for you.
