Maps 6.0+ force close

I'm trying to get the latest google maps from the Market to work on my device, the problem is every time i start the app its very laggy and then force close.
what is the last working version?

use the version thats already on emanoNv4 then update maps in the market and you v got 6.1.1 too! but you need emanoNv4 rom its till now the only custom rom witch getting newest maps to work!!

My favorite so far is the Free Optimus Project ROM. I don't use other ROMs because they dont support rtl

People who are using CM7, What do you find in it if it's still nightly and unstable and has critical bugs nowadays?

I tought about it, I wasn't sure about including stock "ROMs" rightly because after all, these are original FWs and not alternative ROMs. I think it's better like that.

I used CM7 last nightly (05-27) and it was really good, the only downside was battery drain, i lasted only for 7 - 9 hours, I really can´t wait for Tant's CM7 based on RC3

[MOD] [FRAMEWORK] Stock ICS Framework with CRT Off Animation (Old TV Off Style)

Those who may want to have CRT Off Animation or the old TV off style.
Try this:
For Stock v ICS 30b : CRT_Off_ICS_Stock_v30b.zip
For Stock ICS v 30c : CRT_Off_ICS_Stock_v30c.zip
Requirements:
1. Rooted Stock ROM with CWM Recovery
2. Set windows animation scale at least to 1x - under developer options
Just flash in recovery.
Note: If you install this on Marvel 10 or 11. This will disable the auto rotate but will just enable CRT off.
Use with caution. Doing something in the framework can make your device not able to boot.

Downloading Marvel V11. Will use with it. Thanks....

Try setting full brightness screen, and try again... This is what happens with IZS, you won't be able to see it without full brightness... Try it

What does "disable auto rotation" mean? Only CRT effect auto rotation or system wide auto rotation? I'm running Marvel 11.

Hello guys. Today I tried the CyanogenMod 9 ROM based on Android 4.0 (ics). Runs very well, even much better than gingerbread 2.3.6. Unfortunately this rom, since it was never properly developed, there are still bugs like camera, wifi, mobile network seems to me, but others as well. Do you think you could focus on this rom to extrapolate a functional for our mini 2. I state that graphically and functionally would be perfect!

But why not focus on a perfect rom tor pur device. It's a old version but it is the best. Int work a lot better than 10/10.1/10.2

I'm with both of you and everyone like you i tried cm9 so so so so so much better and smooth and graphics what i say about performance? oh god it's fly high really really the best rom for mini 2 and the games run very smoothly and for me and for all mini2 users we just need android 4 not more than that cuz most of apps now required android 4+ and that is what we talking about cm9 3.4 kernel updated with latest cm9 files and library files and latest adreno 200 updates and our Qualcomm MSM7227a support android 4 so we can get the latest drivers and updates and that what we missing in the newer android versions and the resolution supported what ever i said i will not finished believe me it is the perfect version of android for our jena jena need ICS CM9 +1 who is with us

I would really like to see it happen ! Ultra stable cm with all features working perfectly (now cm10.1 is best so far but still there are tons of bugs )

I think there is a reason why TheWhisp didn't want to pursue this matter ..maybe because samsung announced the official jb for our phone(that turned out to be a lie...) or maybe because cm9 has a lot of bugs ..and most of them were fixed in jb ..idk , or ics requires a lot of libs and stuff that are not avalible ..unlike jb. Idk , I would like to see a very fast,stable and fully functional cm ..so, good luck !

Why not making a fully working CM7.2 for our device?

I think make a full working cm9 is like when thewhisp worked on cm10/10.1

let someone else do the CM9
someone who knows how to do, it does not have to be a whisp
or let some ports of a device rom and make CM9

We just have to face the fact that : WE NEED MORE DEVELOPERS IN GM2
you cant expect from one guy to make everything for you
and we had a non-functional cm7 past month but the dev droped it

I cannot work on 6+ projects at the same time. At the moment I focus on cm-11 and cm-10.2, and 3.4.x kernel. If you want cm10 and cm10.1 in the same level as cm-10.2, you have to say good-bye to camera. That's why I don't release any updates for those ROMs. Try thinking for once, not spam about every ROM you want.

What do you think people about this rom?

It's laudable attempt to convince you The Whisp to focus on a CM who can bring added value to the phone and that works really. Unfortunately The Whisp is used to finish something once you start. It works only on projects illusory .... He even told you that working on 6 projects simultaneously. How many of them go really well and can say that achieve perfection? None! Too bad! It's a good developer but is inconstant. The romanian people have a saying: "Good cheese, rough diamond." That's The Whisp!

Guyz he said he is doing this for himself and sharing it with us just come down and believe me

MSM7x27a also has official support for Android 4.1. Just out of curiosity, I made a CM10 build with the latest changes from CM-10.2 builds (it uses everything that an official 4.1 ROM from Samsung would bring us), I'd it's not quite faster that the 4.3. If you really want your device to perform at its best, stick with 2.3
I have used GT-S6312 with Samsung's official 4.1.2 Touchwiz'ed Android and it is terribly slow. No wonder Samsung cancelled the update for Mini 2.
And an ICS ROM would have the same problems as any other CM ROM - crappy camera performance, white screen issue would persist etc.
