Hi. I want to use the supercharger script everyday. So I put it as a schedule everyday 3:00AM after I fully charge my phone when I was sleeping. Will anything happen to my device? I'm curios because I only want to charge my phone from 0 - 100%. And when I fully charge it, it reboots for the supercharger thing. And it is interrupted. Can anyone tell me Will anything happen to my device?
please make it more clear
I mean when I fully charge my phone then the supercharger script will run which includes superclean( wipe dalvik-cache and reboot) and it will use up battery. That means if the battery goes to 100% - 98% means it will charge again from 98-100. I want my phone to charge from 0-100 because it is good for battery, so if it charge from 98-100 is it bad for the battery?

nothing is wrong in charging from 98%-100%
charging from 0%-100% is required when you want to calibrate your battery

It's not exactly bad to charge your phone from 98% - 100%. Just that it is recommended to charge your phone from <20% - 100% at least once a month as it helps to improve your battery lifespan. I charge from about 50% to 100% most of the time, and only charge from 0% to 100% every 2 weeks or when I feel that it is needed.
Don't worry about charging from 98 % to 100%, i charge from 80% - 100% every day (well, not every day, but mostly)

Is it true that the porcentage of battery u have when u flash ur phone is the one that will be used as the new 100% ? also whats the procedure i should use to erase the battery stats? my phone dies in like 4 hours , let it discharge, charge completely and then?
I don't think so, cause i always flash my MS anytime i wish even when the indicator show <20%, or when charging on UBS
I also never bothered to charge fully before flashing. Though I think resetting battery stats does help indeed.
i also read something similar to this, someone told me to charge to full, then let the phone discharge UNTIL IT TURNS OFF BY ITSELF (=battery completely dead), then charge to full again and then delete the file batterystats.bin in /data/system folder (root required).
i suppose this is what you are talking about?
i will try this in a few hours (currently discharging the last % of my battery).

What's your ROM?
On froyomod do you have option to calibrate battery and wipe battery status
Well, I've flashed it to FroyoRom with approx. 40% charge, played around a little, the next day when I was normally using it and my battery went down to 30% I deleted the battery stats, the system rebooted and voilla, I was at 50%
I don't know about this full charge - discharge - full charge - delete stats version. I guess I'll try it on an occasion and see what happens. At this moment I'm at 90% after being disconnected from charger for 5 hrs, though I wasn't using the phone much during this time.
...and currently finishing the same charge - after 1 day and 17 hrs currently at 20%. My Milestone never made it through the day without having to charge it through the night. Love it
The FroyoMod is really the best at the moment...
install the battery calibration app (by nema).
let the phone reach 100%, then reboot without unplugging. as soon as it reaches 100% again, immediately hit the calibration button and unplug. do not wait, thinking that you are going to trickle charge. for some reason, the battery will start discharging as soon as it hits 100% even when plugged in. i think it's a hardware issue.
this method has worked well for me. just wanted to share with the rest of you. cheers.

if u prefer to do the simpler way, (assuming u have root) . simply flash clockworkmod recovery and you'll have options for wiping battery stats. and the reason behind 95% after fully charging is because htc's stock battery is simply... cheap. u charge to 100%, and the battery thinks that 100% is too much, thus before reaching 100%, the charge is already cut. so the 100% is just eye candy.. the actual percentage at full charge might be 98 or 97, we dont know..
source : tested this with seidio extended 2500mah battery with seidio's charger and htc stock battery with htc stock charger.
results : seidio battery stays at 100% after full charge while htc stock battery instantly drops to 95% after one minute of full charge

i don't see how it's easier to boot into recovery and erase battery stats manually when the app does it automatically
Hi,
I am trying to do the battery calibration piece but my phone never reaches 100% when the phone is off i charged it for almost 3-4 Hrs.
can some one help me?
New battery, like $10
i have two batteries now still i see the same issue, it started once i moved to GB Roms, before it was pretty good.
It is normal between 96% and 99%.
Is it normal to not reach 100% when i turn the phone off and charge it?

There has been talk about this occurrence before, but basically it's a battery-life saving feature of Gingerbread. Rather than hold your battery at 100%, which will decrease the battery's life, it charges to 100%, lets it dip down to a certain threshold (like 90%, for example), then recharges again.
That's my understanding, anyway.

Like jmtheiss said t's a GB surge protection not to overcharge the battery. It's a feature not a bug
does this mean we can do battery calibration on GB roms?

Two things regarding Battery Calibration :
1. For Better Battery Life : Always charge upto about 90% and use. Recharge when you reach 10% or even less. This will tremendously increase the life span of Li-Ion battery.
2. As regard to 100% charging :
(i) Boot to CWM, wipe battery stats.
(ii) Reboot and charge until 100%, Disconnect from charger
(ii) Power Off and connect charger again. Charge until 100%
(iii) Boot to CWM, wipe battery stats again.
(iv) Power on the phone and charge until 100%
Done.
Repeat the same, if you wish to re-calibrate the battery after some time.
Tip: Always re-calibrate battery and charge to 100% before flashing any ROM.

As I fiddled around with most of the ROMs out here in XDA, would suggest you to flash a KK4 build like Serenity or Illiminance, if you want a stable GB ROM. KK4 is the latest captivate GB leak and the ROM is awesome. Also, the ad-hoc wi-fi through modifided wpa_supplicant works in this build. The ROM is fast, stable and got good battery life. Try to flash the ROM and I'm sure you will get a great GB ROM without troubles.
Hit thanks, If I helped you out

Hello, friends
I was install a new rom, I did everything right, root, update the CMW, but when I went to install the rom (CM10 Unofficial) phone was automatically turn off, because low battery power. I open the Recovery menu I went out that the load was 0%. Wait till it is complete at 100% (in 8 minutes the charge is 0% to 100% charge), and reinstall the rom, switched on the battery was full, but after 7 minutes or less and went out ..
Now i insalled CM10 for Cooper, , and as usual, when I try to charge the battery till 100% to calibrate, charge loaded 100% very fast (5 minutes) and did not charge more ..
I've tried calibrating and nothing
because, battery not charge completely, the percentage is 100% but is false.
Thanks and sorry for my english
AW: Help. The battery is charged to 100% fast
Its simple.
Your battery is dead
Have the same issue on my battery (almost 2y old). You must order a new one

Go to battery usage. Despite the 100%, it will show charging.
That means it is charging.
Either that, or buy a new battery.

Don't keep using that it's Dangerous.
Hey.
I bought à New battery three days ago. First Day, battery life was really great.
But yesterday and today, not great.
I think I should make à battery calibration but lots of personns aren't agree with the Best method and I can't let my Juice to 0% because it can be responsable of battery life lost (20%).
So anyone can explain to me please ?
Thanks

I think that li-ion battery cannot be calibrated. All that you could do is to ensure that you use it properly for about 3 cycles, meaning good full charge without interuption, and discharge until your phone turns off. (Do not turn the phone on until you connect charger, but it seems like you already know that). This should ensure that your battery is performing as best as it can, and that the phone is displaying battery level correctly, without sudden drops.
Try this

Read this: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/battery_calibration
Thanks but the problem is to let the phone discharge completely, can be lead to lost 20% of autonomy people says.
So I don't want to damage my new battery.
Idea is to let your phone shutdown due to no power, not to drain battery completely.
Battery fakes "no more juice" status when it is nearly dry and phone shuts down due to that.
As long as you do not boot it up after it shutdown on its own (it will allow boot with like 1-2% battery even when it said 0% - shutdown) it is all good.

You shouldn't discharge your battery to 0% every time, but some batteries, especially non-original ones, need formatting in first couple charge-discharge cycles. By formatting I mean complete charge to full discharge, usually 3-5 times. Before formatting you can reset battery stats.
After formatting you shouldn't discharge battery under 15% too often. There is no harm in discharging it below that level from time to time (some suppliers even advise doing full cycle once a month).
If you want to maximize every li-ion battery life you shouldn't discharge under 15% and charge over 80-85%, but it is impractical and you won't use this phone after a year or two so don't bother yourself with upper limit.
