touche'. i mean damn you can only "work" on the same thing for so long. there is a perfectly good pulse dump it only made it to a meager beta. blur is coming along and eclair is out there. wtf?
i have no clue man, i love the pulse launcher. i wish more people would get on it and realize its potential. hero is old imo.

personally i love pulse if i had the time and dedication i would work on it myself even if its pink. hero is super played out.

im super partial to blue. the flip animation in the launcher is so sick it has huge potential and people are sleeping on this rom

Nah, the dump just has a bootanim with some "Andriod 3.0" crap from the recent Honeycomb conference.
I'm sure it wont be long before the real thing finds it's way to XDA though
The honeycomb boot animation reminds me of Smackdown Just Bring It on PS2. The game hat such grid animations in the back of the menu.

1. Choose option "No battery, theme only",
2. press next till bootanimation section
3. select desirable bootanimation
4 .press next till finish
5. wait for flashable zip (no need to upload anything)
Do they fit the DHD's screen?
Last time I tried a bootanim from UOT a few weeks ago it was too small and off-centre.
I think the Honeycomb bootanimation would be good for fast boot?

Changing the boot animiation is easy.
Find a boot animation you like, download it, rename zip to bootanimation.zip and then use Root Explorer or ES File Explorer (in root mode) to replace the existing file in /data/local/
Back-up the file that's there 1st obviously, or do what I do and just rename it to bootanimation_orig.zip.
Changing the splash screen requires a different approach... but I already answered that for you here:

I have read that some people see the attraction to gingerbread is the CRT OFF shutdown animation. There is also a growing problem with people bricking their phones in an attempt to install gingerbread. So here is the solution to people who want the crt animation but would rather wait till gingerbread is a little easier to install.

Nice! Working well on the Captivate I presume?
This has been around for awhile, and it's not the actual, much desired, screen off animation.... This replaces the shutdown animation for when you power off the phone, that's all.
does this work with all 2.2.1 rom or what？just flash it in？i love the animations but stick to froyo for now. if this works that would be really nice！ thank you ！

Just as a note to OP or other people that will inevidibly ask this is a "SHUT DOWN" animation as stated by the OP. gingerbread has a crt "SLEEP" animation that...well..looks sexy and is completly different than what this is.. Cheers!

I made it with Cinema4D. I use it on my NS (i9023), so i don't know wich phone this works with.
This zip is NOT flashable in CWM recovery. You will have to copy it with a file explorer like ES file explorer or Root Explorer.

Well you shouldn't have to flash CM themes... Just use a boot animation installer app...

I have plenty of room, but the animation doesn't display. I see the LG logo until my launcher loads; it's the same problem I have when trying to create it myself (I've made several attempts).

Oh. I don't watch anime, I have college and work, and on top of that I make custom boot animations. Try to think of something else that'll be a little easier, like a simple logo that I can make explode and rebuild itself or a SMALL gif you like. I can make any logo cycle its colors through the rainbow... I made the UPS logo spin around...

Try placing it in /system/media.
Then try in /data/local.
See what happens.

No prob. How about creating an animation in which a bubble explodes and "Android" comes out of the explosion? Make it many bubbles floating around, and just before the boot happens let the text come out of the explosion. Get me?
