[Q] screen problem - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just bought my Note used and found out theres a big problem with screen black and grays.
I've done some search and found that black clipping issue : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559800
But I think my problem is not that or its much worse. I'll attach a photo of my Note with that same gamma test pic as in the above topic.
When I bought the phone it had stock ICS installed. I installed first GB and then paranoidandroid JB That's when I noticed the probem. (Not earlier, because JB backgrounds show the problem better.)
I tried everything in settings but nothing helped. The oddest thing was when I one time opened the lockscreen, suddenly the screen was normal. I was happy with that but later the screen went bad again and nothing seems to help. I've tried different kernels and different roms (stock ics&gb, custom ics and jb).
It is so bad that no way i can watch photos or videos with my Note
Is there anything I can do?

just unroot back to stock n then take it to the Samsung ppl

[Q] Camera picture problems

hello i got some strange problems with my I9000 on DarkyRom v10.2.2
my camera got some faliure i think, after i take a shot, everything looks good. But when i get out of the camera software and try to view the pictures with some other software sometimes my who picture is grey / black or huge parts of pictures are grey/black.
I tried to search the net but nobody got similar problems, some times my camera is working fine, but some times i have this problem.
Are the images big? It could be that they need some time to load and you just have to be patient let me know, as I too had issues on DarkyROM 10.2.2
images in the player's normal ROM you can see after this wait? or still do not see?

[Q] Camera screen black, but able to take photos

Hey guys, hope you can help me.
I've been using Cyanogen for a few months and now I face this problem:
When I use the camera, i see a black screen with controls, and can take pictures, however, I see a black screen and not what you expect to see as the view is the camera lens.
I've tried doing a nandroid (just in case camera or something was damaged) a full wipe, applying a rom from scratch and camera works correctly...
I'm guessing it may be an app or some setting bothering.
I don't want to configure everything from start, please help me
More information: this issue seems to happen before installing Motomizer and applying one touch optimization, and if it's uninstalled, problem keeps going
I've found that at the same time I cannot see any video on youtube videos.... maybe it's an overlay video problem?
Anyone?
Solved!
Dear jhonnyx,
I had the exactly same issue and I found it was a Kernel issue.
I was using wrong CF-Root and solved it just by flashing new kernel.
To solve the the problem just flash another kernel for your device, I prefer Siyah or DorimanX.
Hope this will help!

[Q] blue screen problem

Hello everybody!
I have a problem with my i9000.
Here's a video i made filming it : (it's on youtube) watch?v=WgPcrmCb8Lc
So, rewriting what i said at the description of the video, i think it's a problem with the lighting of the screen. As you can see there's no problem with the digitizer and the data. When it happens the screen keeps trembling like that untill it clears fully and then i can use the phone, or it goes to full blue and then i can't use it at all.
if you look carefully on the screen you can actually see the home page under the blue coloring.
I tried flashing bunch of roms, including CM7/9/10/ and couple of stock roms, with no succsses.
If someone had the same problem i'd like to hear about it!
Thank you all!!!
anybody??

[q] help my note screen turned green, gpu problem?

I am currently using XXLSZ odexed since it was released and today i was using my note normally, but after locking it and unlocking it about 30min later i noticied that the screen aparently wasn't turning on, only the buttons were on. But the screen was responsive, i could hear the water effect of the lockscreen. Sooooo, i removed battery, SD card, etc but all that i got is an GREEN/BLACK SCREEN, the system is responsive but it's hard to see a thing(When u can see it, i can only see the Notifications and the Configurations menu). I'll put a picture here.
How do i solve that? I wanna go to an Samsung Authorized but i'm afraid they won't fix it for me because of the "Yellow Triangle"(I never used custom ROMs, only stock Brazilian 4.0.4, Gingerbread and this German XXLSZ that i flashed with Odin.
(Sorry for the ****ty photo, i was desperated so i used the P-Mode on the camera, not Manual)

[Q] Strange discoloration on my screen

Dear note users,
Recently I encountered the second discoloration of colors on my screen, for example the center of the chrome icon and everything blue turns purple, this problem occurs in the entire os. I have also made a screenshot and after the phone magically restored the colors; it turned the screen off, because I wasn't using the phone and when I turned it back on the colors on the screen were back to normal; and the colors on the screenshot were also normal. So apparently the os sees the colors properly....
So what do you think is this a hardware failure (I am thinking it is), also if it is, does it fall under guarantee? And finally my screen is ok, for most of the time, but sometimes this error does occur. How can I possibly tell the guys of the Samsung service center something is wrong with the screen? I did take a phone with my point to shoot, but they could say it's photoshop or something and the photo is a bit blurry. Since I cannot force the phone into this situation I can't also make new photos....
I am using alliancerom v3 and speedmod k3, I also don't think the error was due to the rom and kernel, because both weren't developed when the previous discoloration occured....

Click to collapse
Take a video
Try changing ROMs, full wiping etc...
R: [Q] Strange discoloration on my screen
I also had this issue, two times to be exact... I was worried that gpu was going to break. Do you have the gpu's voltages decreased?
Ps: I'm not saying it's a gpu problem (it's a simple thought) , so don't worry
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Same issue
I got the same problem too. i thought im the only one...I agree with hom.hom.. it the hardware problem, FYI warfareonly, i tried to change ROM, full wipe and everything...the problem still occurred..as what hom.hom said it hardware issue..
some picture taken from webcam..
Yeah, with me it looks just the same; I suppose the problem is that you can't reproduce this issue. So the Samsung repair center probably won't repair your phone. After your phone went to sleep or you reboot the issue disappeared for me. Is this the same case for you, and have you checked at a repair center of they fix this issue for you?
