Tarheels all the way. We have been up and down this season but things are looking up under Davis. I hate Florida, so I was upset Tech lost...plus being from Texas I would prefer a Texas team be in the BCS championship.

Ya, i feel you. it sucked when we lost that game earllier this season and dropped from number one. We have a great team this year i would have loved to see them go undefeated.

College and NFL fan here. I'm a native Coloradoan so I'm a Broncos, Avs, Nuggets and Rockies fan.
Graduated from CSU (Colorado State Univ) and still go to Rammies home games in Fort Collins.....definitely not a powerhouse like OU, Texas and company but we've got some tough conference teams with Utah and BYU now. Hopefully the program will keep progressing and moving forward.
Anyhow, I always watch the Big 12, 10, SEC and ACC games and have followed the BCS mess with OU, Texas and TTU this year. Don't know who should go to the championship game but I think OU and Texas are better teams than TTU as of today. Too bad OU and Texas couldn't play for the Big 12...whoever plays Mizzou will likely win by a good margin.

Big win for my Broncos on the road against the NY Jets...plus San Diego lost so we're looking good in the weak AFC West.

I can't agree with soccer being better, they are both physically exhausting. I played both throughout school, soccer more. But, i can totally agree that soccer can wear you down. Running up and down that damn field game after game always hurt, especially in the cold. But it was worth it all for the MVP trophy!

Well well looks like OK is number 2. Hopefully your boys can beat Mizz and go against Alabama for the championship.

i've played both and i wouldn't say either is better..... they both have there "advantages" and "disadvantages" (soccer and football)
i will have to say though that i think the hardest sport out there is wrestling by far....
Try cutting 30 to 40 pounds in two or three weeks to get down to 7 percent body fat (the lowest allowed) and then be able to even stand up..... much less wrestle someone the same strength as you, i breaks down to technique and who wants to get there hand raised in the end more..... its a really mental sport, its all about who will break first

Yeah i know wushu involves wrestling but the forms comprise basic movements are stances, kicks, punches, balances, jumps, sweeps and throws. You could be a bodybuilder, weight over 700 pounds and you will see yourself on the ground trying to beat someone who knows kung fu..

Dude that play Bradford did was one of those hold your breath and hope he isn't dead...LOL. At least when they chocked against Boise St. it was one of the best games in college football.

LOL! Try Basic Training in mid summer, average of 95F degrees. Not only do you lose a lot of weight, but they will f**k with your mind !

colligiant wrestling is the same way, that why i like it. I like sports that require more than just steroids to be a champ at. Obviously i'm not say lifting or getting big are a bad thing, i still like football obviously, but its refreshing to have sports where its not JUST about how hard you can hit someone but about what you know and how good your technique is.
you can put someone twice as strong as someone with good technique, and in wrestling the person with better technique will win everytime.

So true... truly an epic game with a fantastic finish. It really doesn't get much better than games like that. Even when not a fan of either team, you can appreciate how awesome the level of play from both teams was. Great to go back and watch it

A cubical job. Where you go and sit in a cubical and have your own desktop and a BlackBerry for your job and you wear a suit everyday with a nice view over DownTown Chicago and you travel a lot to foreign places with good food.
What kinda positions have this?

Hmmm. Managing director doesn't have to work in a cubicle, they get an office with a view
To get a job like that, how about IT Manager, or Director of Technology? Trouble with other jobs would be lack of foreign travel (you need to be at management level or above to get some of the best hotels)

Rioting

We have a wee bit of rioting in Belfast this evening. There's a parade on somewhere or other. Got me thinking about rioting in general. We get a lot of it here. LAst summer was particularly bad with a lot of rioting around the city and around NI in general. this is a video from last year at Ardoyne. It doesn't kick of right away but it gets a bit out of hand. This one is quite tame. Afterwards a policewoman was seriously inured when a rioter through some concrete on her.

Belfast and Vancouver may be on different continents but they have the perennial riots in common. It's only 0.1% of each population though, while the rest look on thinking 'what a bunch of asshats'
It'll all change given, oh i don't know....300 years? Shame we won't be around to enjoy the peace!

good heavens! ur from belfast as well! the riots last summer was madness. thank god most of it was around Derry and North Belfast! just when you think people are matured enough to put the past behind them and move on! no wonder most of NI is a dump...lol
i was however stuck in the middle of the riots last year (if i remember right) along the lower windsor avenue when the polish supporters clashed with the local ones. 'twas a bloody affair i tell you. i actually pity the coppers in NI. poor guys are hated by both sides and have been putting up with sectarian s**t for too many decades now

If citizens were allowed to carry firearms it would pretty much stop the rioting. People are less inclined to do something that may get them killed....

I think it was summer of 2010 when there was that G20 riot in Toronto, then a few days ago the riot in Vancouver. It's so stupid, makes the rest of Canada looks bad and making others go what the hell. Seriously, who the hell does that to their own city? And you wonder what government's going to do with the money? Repair every single thing that was effing damaged.

rioting is one thing but the assassination in the antrim base, the cold blooded murder of the police officer in craigavon and the recent ones as well have taken things just a bit too far. what do they hope to achieve. yes i do know they are fighting for a cause, but blood baths isnt the answer.

It has really kicked off the last two nights with up to 500 on Monday night rioting and 700 last night. A photographer was shot in the leg last night, you can read the article here.
Shots have been fired by both sides of the community and there is very little the police can do without being heavy handed. This is putting such a negative slant on Northern Ireland which is a fantastic little country.

Let's face it, humans don't need a reason to be violent. They just need an excuse.

The video that was released last night by a different uploader has the names of every single person in that video. They're from chicago.

I was bullied at school alot as a child.
Today i am goth.. i am a Metal head.
How did i deal with my bullies? i took them on one by one.. brought their little level back down and beat them up.

Remember in junior high this kid from special ed decided to pick a fight with me, he ended up smacking me causing my glasses to fall off, and his special ed buddies decided to destroy them, I really didn't want to punch the kid, I punched him once, the nurse later told me I broke his rib. lol

It's disgusting but thankfully they were just that dumb to provide the video that has now condemned them. I hope the authorities throw the book at them.

I always taught my kids to punch a bully in the face in front everybody and I wont be mad at them. Ill deal with the school, don't let some one pick one you like that (it will also allow other bullys to take notice and join in) My son did slap the **** out of one on the bus, I didn't condone it. A bully will leave you alone if you let them know you wont take it weather they are bigger or not. They'll find another wimp to pick on that will allow it. Its that simple.
Nothing like teaching kids self confidence and how to handle themselves in an uncomfortable situation inste of playing victim like our culture is pushing.

We're in the same situation but I took my first semester in college last August here in US, and so far so good.
Edit: I forgot that there were some racist that I met in my first semester. Yeah, f*ck them.

Fights seem to decrease once you are in college

Im in hs ny most ppl bully based on what you have like nobody wears aeropastle since its labeled as cheap brand names so ppl by polo,true religons,hollister a&f and ae not to be looked down upon

Bullying is usually at the high school level, Hormones are high, insecurities are popping up, and street violence follows the students into class.
Most of the trouble makers don't graduate high school much less make it to college.

Ah I remember High School. Some kid (remember, bigger than me) didn't like something I said. During class threatened me that I'll get beat up. I ignored him. In the next few days I always saw him with his buddies, I was always alone in the staircase, but his buddies had too much respect to touch me. It's fun being smart enough to control the crowd with just your posture. lol

I have recently made the switch from stinky "analog" or regular cigarettes and love it. I got a Joyetech eGo-t starter set for myself and the wife because it came with two complete vaporizers. Just wonder I g if there were any members here who use PV's and what flavors or strengths you use.

Yes it was tested on animals, didn't fit.

I'm a fan of the Blu myself (never was a cigarette smoker but I like it for when I'm drinking and it's perfectly fine to use indoors).

I tried an e-cig, and the real thing is better for me. Yes, this is me quitting smoking lol. I am at a stage where I only smoke when I want to, not when I have to. I can go on for days not smoking, then one day I'll just decide to smoke one.

I tried an e-cig for a bit and got bored with it. About a month or two after that I didn't feel like buying cigs anymore so I just stopped smoking.

Aren't they worse for you than actual cigarettes?

I smoke like there's no tomorrow.

Sort of. There's nothing that will ever give you the same taste as a real ciggy. My thing is, I've smoked almost every day since i was 14 and I'm 29 now. I did quit in basic training because I couldn't get any. Sadly I picked em back up.
There are flavors with and without nicotine in them. I have talked to some people that haven't smoked ever but picked up a PV because the flavors you could use.
Personally, I've had 4 ciggys in the last week and felt like trash after. So far I've tried a menthol, regular, apple martini, my dew, caramel apple, and a sorta camel gold flavor.
All flavors seem to have a sweet taste but, my lungs feel better and the morning breath is not near as bad as before.
Besides, when a customer comes into where I work and they just got done smoking, it smells like a bad barbecue.
If you've ever smelled "Liquid Smoke" (for cooking) its strong lime that. Never realized I smelled like that......

There are flavors with and without nicotine in them. I have talked to some people that haven't smoked ever but picked up a PV because the flavors you could use.
Personally, I've had 4 ciggys in the last week and felt like trash after. So far I've tried a menthol, regular, apple martini, my dew, caramel apple, and a sorta camel gold flavor.
All flavors seem to have a sweet taste but, my lungs feel better and the morning breath is not near as bad as before.
Besides, when a customer comes into where I work and they just got done smoking, it smells like a bad barbecue.
If you've ever smelled "Liquid Smoke" (for cooking) its strong lime that. Never realized I smelled like that......

Thanks matey. I need to quit the cigs and was thinking of giving these a try. Guess you can get them in the UK

I am! I have been vaping for about 5-6 months now. www.totallywicked-eliquid.com is a pretty nice site for hardware, and myfreedomsmokes.com is a great site for ejuice and their pretty reasonable on prices, they also sell hardware but I like the quality of totally wicked. I also mix my own juice, once you get a little more experieced I would look into it. It saves money to mix your own and you can mix to basically any strength you like. Myfreedomsmokes carrys all of the diy yourself items you would need.

The strengths are something you'll wanna play with, I started on 24mg, and now I'm using 16-18mg depending on certain flavors. Also I like VG based juice, they tend to produce a little more vapor.

I am a rare social smoker and mainly smoke if I drink sometimes .. but I like the green nicotine e cigs they are the closest you can get to real cigarettes

I started with..... ummmm...... 20 or 30mg and I gotta say there is little to no menthol in the "Cowboy Menthol" that I got. I deff need to look into the whole day thing. I have a eGo-T myself. Wide drip-tip tank. My wife has the exact same setup and we both have had them for the same time. Hers leaks like a sieve. The local shop said the atomizer melts the tip and gave her a rubber like cap for it. Still leaks. Also have a clear tank but I think something wrong with that one. Little to no smoke there......

Nope, as far as i know you only get steam and nicotine in you, while with regular tobacco you'll get some nicotine, some benzen, half a horse and a dead baby seal in your lungs.

There's that and you can order or make your own mixes where there is no nicotine content. Just whatever flavor you want. Like apple pie or Mt. Dew......
And let's not forget other additive lime formaldehyde. You know, the stuff they pump thru dead bodies after the autopsy?

I know the Blu ecig is the bottom of the totem pole, but i like them... Simple and cheap. Havent smoked an analog cig in 6+ months.
