I'd like to try the CloudOn office suite app out on my Touchpad, however when I find it on the Play Store it says none of my devices are compatible.
Is it a hardware or software issue?

I couldn't get the app to come up in the playstore either.
Make a backup,,just in case, and try updating to the latest CM nightly http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568685, it's been stable for me. The Feb version you're running is outdated. You should notice the improvement.
I just updated to the latest nightly, and there's definitely some improvement!
I found a CloudOn apk and installed it, ran through the set up process, and when that was done it said the version I had was no longer supported.
I can't find a newer apk anywhere, any ideas where I might source it?

This thread is a bit old, but I found the apk for the latest CloudOn 2.5.1 (November 3rd) and it works great on the Touchpad. It scales perfectly to the display aspect ratio and for being a glorified remote desktop app it does a pretty good job at feeling like a native app. At least with this you get 100% Office compatibility since your using Microsoft Office, although they have changed the ribbons a bit to make it more touch friendly.
For free this app is a bargain, its great for quick edits when you want to preserve formatting. I've attached the apk for you so you can install it since Google Play still won't let us install.

Can anyone tell me what is a nightly build? Ive read over at the Development forum in the Cyonegen thread. there are mentions of a nightly build ROM. What is this?
Thanks in advance
If my definition if correct, it's one that is still being worked on. Not like a regular one with a few bugs. This is like a build before they would announce it a beta/rc.
Kinda like an underground build for only the advanced
Yes. Its the 'current build'. Another way to look at it - better two beta builds.
my understanding of nightly builds are that those builds are not supported in any way, they are experimental. flashing them on our phones=120% our responsibility even if it crashes. u find links at some places but i guess theres a reason for it to not be out in the open.
Nightly build = An automatic build from a codebase.
Simple as that. Implies it's untested, and yes, could eat babies as the other replies imply.
In software development, a neutral build is a build that reflects the current state of the source code checked into the source code version control system by the developers, but without any developer-specific changes.
A nightly build is a neutral build that takes place automatically. These typically take place when no one is likely to be working in the office so that there are no changes to the source code during the build. The results of the build are inspected by the arriving programmers, who generally place a priority on ensuring the recent changes to the source code have not broken the build process or functionality of the software.
When someone says a developer "broke the build", they are effectively saying that a developer checked in code which might very well have compiled (and hopefully also run properly) in their account, but does not compile (and therefore, cannot be run) in anyone else's account. This is typically due to additional developer-specific changes that were either not checked in, or (in the case of environment variables, etc.) were modifications to systems not under revision control. One of the most common cases is remembering to check in all modified files, but forgetting to add newly created files to the repository. If the other developers check out the new code without being aware of the problem, their work may grind to a halt while they wait for the problem to be fixed (or try to fix it themselves, which can be even more problematic, if multiple developers attempt to fix the issue at the same time). This naturally can result in a significant loss of productivity.
Neutral builds are important for software development processes running at high loads with short schedules; not having them means that any build that needs to be created for the Software Quality Assurance department has to be created using code which may be in the middle of major modifications, and which would best be left out of a build for testing (particularly a build being evaluated for possible release).
Neutral builds can be done on a machine which is also used for active development if enough caution is taken, but it is safer to dedicate a machine to that purpose because an issue in the build process could cause the machine to become unstable.

Ah ok. This is the nexus one section, so I'll suggest that you post your questions here instead which is the q&a section meant specifically for your device. You will get better info there, rather than here.
I am browsing through touchpad development forums and trying to decide which ROM to install. It seems some have working camera while others have Bluetooth, does anyone know of a ROM which has both camera and Bluetooth working?

Problem with KitKat
Hello ,
I have not had success with version 3 kernel . After installation the system is in a loop trying to make the Cyanogenmod boot without success. Appears at a time, Moboot screen and then the screen goes black ( dimly lit ) ... Then the system reboots .
I used Tailor to create the partitions :
USB ( media) : 1.953 MiB
User ( ext3 ) : 1.758 MiB
Android (system ) : 600 MiB
Android ( cache ) : 200 MiB
Android (date ) : 23,148 GiB
Unused Space : None
I created a folder with name cminstall with the following files (all downloaded through the appropriate links) :
cm - 11-20140110 - UNOFFICIAL - tenderloin.zip
GAPPS - kk - 20131208.zip
moboot_038 - tenderloin.zip
recovery - clockwork - 6.0.4.6 - tenderloin.zip
I reseted the WebOS Touchpad through and hit the volume button until the USB connection symbol appeared. Finally , as with all Novacom drivers installed on your computer I entered the following command in the Windows command prompt :
novacom.exe boot mem :/ / < ACMInstaller5M
The system installation appears to be correct , but the system is in boot loop .
Any help is welcome .
Grateful.
CM10 has a working camera, not yet in CM11.
it's not easy to bring the camera to live on 3.x kernels mostly because of qualcomm's proprietary camera stuff. I'm working on this for about month and still have no success.
Did you try to contact qualcomm? What, if they provide you with the information you need??? That would be wonderful.....

Forget about getting anything from Qualcomm. Tried once and I was redirected to Code Aurora Forum and then at CAF told me that all they have is pushed to git and there's no chance to get any missing headers from them or any information. So every time I need to figure out everything on my own basing on those pieces posted to CAF.
so is cm9 still the only rom with everything working?

No, the CM10.x and CM11 running 2.6.35 kernel has also a working camera. It's not yet working with 3.4 kernel.
I've created a separate thread for camera driver development for 3.x kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2611497

Thank you for the answer. It sounds like you're quite angry about that.
If I was native English speaker and also a coding freak I would make another try at Qualcomm. Perhaps someone who reads this and knows a little about hardware programming can ask again?
My programming skills stopped with Sinclair ZX81 programming (more or less successful). Z80 machine language called. It's a long time ago. Sorry, I'd love to help in any way....

Hey,
My N5 recently got updated to 6.0 M, and I tried various version of Xposed installer and none of them will work.
It just keep telling : xposed is not compatible with android sdk version 23 or your cpu (armeabi-v7a)
Maybe some one knows the answer?
Thanks in advance.

Xposed for M is under development right now by @rovo89.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63188361&postcount=21
My Nexus 9 is running on stock AOSP 6.0 already and the sources are synced to the build server (thanks to XDA for providing it). I assume that integrating the hooking mechanism should work relatively smoothless (although there were some bigger architectural changes). However, there are some new things, e.g. JIT and the optimizing compiler that need more attention to ensure that methods which could potentially be hooked are really called instead of being optimized away.
I can't give any timeline for this, it's done when it's done

Can anyone update xposed to work with the new security fixes applied to newer android 4.4.4 builds ?
New fix: Install the apk file found here:
edit: old fix:
read the attachment txt file and copy two files from an older build for your device to those folders (/system/lib & (/system/bin)

What devices and ROMs are you using that have these problems, and what is in the error logs and logcat?
Without this information, no one can help you, not even rovo89 himself.
Also, have you searched the forum to see if others have this issue and what's been learned about it?
It's Samsung Galaxy S3 with Cyanogenmod 11 official! I searched the forum but couldn't find an answer. Maybe my english isn't good enough
My device is Motorola RAZR XT910, with a TI OMAP4 ARMv7-A SoC.
Right now, I am on an Unofficial CyanogenMod 11 (Android 4.4.4) ROM which contains the latest security fixes for the Stagefright vulnerability and was built on November 15. When I try to install Xposed framework, using the latest official stable installer from Xposed Repo, I get an the following error: "Xposed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 19 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a)".
When I was on the latest Official CyanogenMod 11 ROM for my device, that was built back on September 1st, Xposed would install and work properly on it, withour any troubles / warnings / errors. Now, I just want to use the latest build that has me protected against Stagefright but I can not install Xposed framework on it at all.
@rovo89 Is there / will there be any fix for this issue?
Having the same problem with the latest build of CM11 (2015.11.15).

samsung n5120, just update the new cm11 then show the error message
Yes, i got the same error message when I updated my Redmi 1S to the newest CM11.
I tried to search in MIUI forum but the answer only for MIUI OS.
I tried the patch for my Redmi 1S, it gave me bootloop.
Are there any explanation for this?
Thanks
Same issue here...Redmi 1s..CM 11 4.4.4 ...xposed not working...any solution ??
FYI, I believe this commit is causing the problems:
http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/118800/
Replacing /system/bin/app_process and /system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so from previous CM builds will allow the framework to be installed without problems.
Ok, i'll try
But it can't be a right solution
Well, of course it's meant to be a temporary workaround, until (hopefully) rovo89 will have the time to fix this, if possible. If you heavily rely on Xposed it's better than nothing.
With the link to the commit, I just wanted to help to point out where the problem comes from in order to maybe get a permanent solution.

rovo it's not going to fix anything on kk, it's been done, too old. He's working on M and somewhat supporting L, so no luck with older builds.

Feel free to try the zip I posted here. Make a backup first. Normally re-flashing your ROM should solve any issues, but you never know.
Xposed dead in latest CM11 *Unofficial* rom
Same thing with cm11 latest release with security patches for stage fright. Although the rom is listed as "Unofficial", it comes from THE Official cm11 OMAP 4 developer. Only listed unofficial because CM has not caught up with the developer. Xposed Framework does not work anymore on Android 4.4.4 See attached screenshots.

Hi, i was wondering if its possible (and if you haven't updated to LMY47X.G900AUCU4CPA1) to root using the StageFright exploit (CVE-2015-3876) or maybe Metasploit (cause that still works with remote code execution). Anyways, thanks for reading. Hope i get a nice juicy answer lol
Edit: Just switched phones with my sister, now i have some nicer vulnerabilities.
