CWM is optimized for GB maybe... If u are able to go in download mode just upgrade to GB via odin and then install CWM 5 zip
Install Samsung drivers.... Then odin will detect ur device

Phone hangs on boot - haven't flashed

I recently bought a galaxy note GT-N7000. I upgraded to ICS and rooted it right after, following this guide: http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-no...on-galaxy-note-gt-n7000-no-computer-required/
It has worked perfectly for 2 weeks now, but when I used it today, it just froze while using the music player, so I turned it off, and when I turn it back on it just hangs on the Samsung logo on boot.
I have tried pulling out the battery, and I have also tried to reboot from CWM, but no luck..
Is there anyone who know what to do?
Thank you
U tried to flash ICS stock rom from odin pc?, u may also flash the stock GB rom then do a full wipe (WIPE ONLY FROM GB ROM NEVER FROM ICS ) then proceed for a clean ICS install using pc odin too..

So I need to download stock GB and put it in my sd card and then flash from cwm? Do I need to wipe the cache or anything first in cwm?
AGAIN DONOT WIPE FROM CWM OR FROM RECOVERY WHILE U R IN ICS ROM.

Okay perfect.. for some reason my computer doesnt recognize the note.. I have tried reinstalling KIES and all the drivers but didnt help..
I tried on another PC aswel and it didnt work either.
It failed when trying to install the samsung MPT something driver..
Completely uninstall kies, then install stand alone drivers from ketan post, u dont need kies for this, only odin is needed, also use main usb ports..no extensions or hubs.

I appreciate you helping me out here.
So I uninstalled KIES and installed the 64bit version of the USB drivers.
I plugged my phone's USB in the back of the computer.
The phone's screen turns on with the battery indicator and all that, but the computer says: "USB device not recognized" One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it"..
Okay apparently I have to turn it on where it hangs on the samsung logo.
So now it's trying to install the drivers, and this is what turns out:

First you need to know Hydracore is not supported on GB roms. Its for ICS/CM10/CM9/AOKP/AOSP/JB Roms.
Second what method you followed to downgrade.
Just do this.
If you have Mobile Odin :-
Download GB Rom From my Signature (PreRooted GB Rom)
Extract it on your phone.(Any Location)
Open it.
Select Rom file under Open .tar tab
Start Flashing.
Click Continue to complete the operation. Your phone will reboot to special mode and flash the rom. Done.
If you want to use PC Odin
Download GB Rom From my Signature (PreRooted GB Rom)
Open PC Odin on your PC.
Put your phone in download mode.
Connect it to PC using USB cable.
Select GB Rom file under PDA tab.
Click Start. (Do not change any options).
Wait for completion.
Your phone will reboot after success full flashing. If your phone doesn't starts or stuck at bootscreen after flashing then Go to Recovery by pressing Vol Up+Home+Power key and wipe Cache/Data and reboot.
Hope it helps

You can flash Custom Roms using PC Odin but it will raise your counter and you have to reset it using Traingle Away. (If your phone Is under Warranty)
If not Who cares? Yes you can flash using PC Odin.

What do you mean "like new from the shop"
If you mean that to clear all the data and accounts then go to settings<backup and reset<factory data reset
And i guess its not safe to do that if you are on ics with stock kernel

Hey, you are in the wrong section...questions should be done in the Q&A section. Status 7 often refers to corrupt files. Have you checked the md5sum of the files you are trying to flash?
Is your phone booting normally? flash as Nokia tells you Philz kernel with Mobile Odin.

I wouldn't know, but have you checked md5sums? that will tell you if files are or not corrupt. Have you tried re flashing recovery? Maybe reflashing Philz kernel can help. But you need to provide more information about what rom are you running, and what recovery.
I have 412 xxlsa and the kernel is specified upside really i don't know what in the hell is wrong, a os 412 reinstall would help? Or to try to put 403 on it, btw you know a topic where i can get the official android 403 for note n7000

Hey, as sad before: you should answer questions to clarify your situation.
And be precise. It's difficult to help or give advice without details.
So why not go back to a normal condition: Download a Stock Rom (like GB), install with Odin PC, and tell us if everything is ok. From there we might get further step-by-step.

Help me, my galaxy note N7000 died...(Formware upgrade ancountered an issue.)

Hello everybody.
I have a problem in my gt-N7000.
I tried to install the CM10, install normal.
I installed Gapps also normal.
When I went to wipe it crashed.
Now no more enters recovery mode, download mode only.
When I turn it only gets in this mensage:
"Formware upgrade ancountered an issue. Pease select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I've tried to pass other Stock Roms via Odim, but always hangs Odim.
I do not know what else to do, will my phone still has solution?
And have you tried that recovery mode in Kies?

I do not know if I can answer all your questions ... I did not root the phone.
I tried going through the kernel odin said that he caught up and in factoryms.img, as stated in the attached image.

1. I don't know what you mean by this.? The was was not rooted or some one else rooted it for you?
2. The place where odin is stuck could indicate a brick. So you need to be precise in the info you give.
3. Did you use cwm.zip to install the rom directly on a non rooted phone?
If ODIN is working for you,
Get your mobile flashed with Philz Kernel by putting the TAR file on PDA.
Enter Philz Kernel in recovery and flash a ROM of your choice.
If you can't then u r a superbrick.

Sorry for my english, I'm using google translation.
I was using the official version 4.0.3, so I entered the reovery and installed CWM and the file to the Root. Shortly thereafter, without restarting the phone installed the CM10 and then the gapps. When I do the Wipe the phone crashed.
Since then, officials have spent several Roms by Odin and all lock.
I do not know if I was very clear on the information, but now the phone is locked it sansumg logo. And when he enters recovery does not wipe, lock and resets the device.
Again, sorry for my english.
So you have flashed cwm.zip and the the root file and then on the same temp recovery, wiped.? That is serious mistake and it seems a brick.
