Can someone please re-Upload SGN_XX_OXA_KJ1_FACTORYFS.tar
The original download link is down. I need this to root my GNote! Thanks!
Just download Checkfus (google) and get it from there.
Pretty straight forward program. Select Android, then GT-N7000, then the region you want and download

How to use on PhilZ-blackhawk-repack.zip to make it flashable ? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39935850&postcount=89)
Extract "recovery.img" from PhilzBlackhawk.zip and convert?
I made a new script for you Look´s a littlebit nicer.
I like how you just copy-pasted a bunch of cygwin files.
i haven't knowen how to convert on windows untill this post.
i think it's ok for copy&paste in this case,or do you have any other idea without setting up a linux (e.g. virtual maschine)?

I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying that you can make a flashable zip using the recovery.img? Thats what it already does.
Here's the part in the updater script :
package_extract_file("recovery.img", "/tmp/recovery.img");
write_raw_image("/tmp/recovery.img", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p6");
delete("/tmp/recovery.img");

But I already made one that installs next kernel at the same time. It doesnt make any root files thats what philz does automaticly.

@Luigi2012SM64DS just a suggestion, you created with kernel 1.6 which is not compatible for stock 4.2.2 so it can't applied.
it will be great if you create it without kernel, only recovery and superSU

Acutally I can do everything all up to rebuilding the cache.img. That one step REQUIRES Linux. Luckily my stupid brain remembered my laptop with Linux on it so I'm using that right now.

@Android-Andi Oh wait. I wasn't making it clear. This tool just takes a recovery.img and makes it into a Odin flashable tar.md5. To root you need the recovery AND a cache.img. Since I have to modify the cache.img I can't do it in windows since the tools are only made for Linux. And I actually canceled the upload since next 1.8 or next 2.0 is right around the corner.

1) if u have downloaded a file from first link, it's enough. the guide also has a link, but it's older JB firmware.
2) just extract the contents into a directory and set the pda as the md5 file.

There is no such thing as "best rom". It is all personal. Try them and see which one suits YOU best. In case of any troubles just flash back to stock as already mentioned (or get cocore cwm/twrp and create memory snapshot before any kind of modification - so you can revert your phone to that working state). Think windows restoration point that actually works.

Hello everyone!
Some models have been upgraded to Android N, but some have not been upgraded. I believe everyone can not sit still, and I hope to pursue the latest version of Android. Here I provide ways to modify the N that can run perfectly on A710K and modify the ODIN brush pack. (to see the A710K of ROM, please pull down directly)
First, you need a computer, you use a Samsung mobile phone baseband (in the package, the name is modem.bin), brush a N package, but requires hardware parameters to be the same, I have a piece of software.
The first step is to prepare tools. (finally, I'll provide the way to download the software.)
The second step, unzip the N ROM package system.img, boot.img, if you want a country carrier file, please extract it. It is called Cache.img, and four sets of ROM packages (including AP, CP, CSC, BL) in the CSC file, one package (including all brush files) can be seen directly in the compressed package.
Open my software and drag your prepared modem.bin, system.img, boot.img, and cache.img into the big white box.
Third steps:click“开始打包”.Save the file and wait for it to be processed.Have a cup of tea and have a rest.
In the fourth step, ODIN brushes into your saved files.
Enjoy
P.S:This approach should support all hardware models, but do not support A7, A5's Chinese version. A3 users can use the A5 brush packs because they are configured identically. A7 please do not use A5 and A3 brush packs, otherwise there will be huge BUG.
