hey!!
is there any way that I could control the transparency of the tiles and post my own background image? and the live tiles updating time?
Nope.
That is entirely up to the developer.
heh...
it seems we're gonna jailbreak win8
Nope, still lame in that sense. I don't know why they just won't add that feature. Instead they filled up the entire screen with bigger tiles.

I know nothing of how to do this. Just thought it would be really cool to have other colors for the background and tiles. Maybe make like the background red and the tiles black. Just something like that. I have no clue what you developers have in the works but that seems pretty cool to me. Keep up the good work guys and gals.
Thanks
Phone background as of the launch devices can only have 2 background colors White or black. the reason for this are just visibility. For lcd screens the white background works best, for amoled displays the black backgrounds work best as the titles seem to look like they float on top of the device not to mention better battery power consumption.
Now in regard to tiles, it all depends on the developer. Like for me i made a standard icon with a transparent background this allows the app to use the phone themes as its color background for my tiles. But as i said for tiles it all depends on what the developer wants, not to mention some companies have a color scheme and will want to use that for their tiles and icons.

That makes sense. Thanks for the info
Hi, I think that starting with the ICS the notification shade looks lovely. I don't like the way it comes out though, Is there a way to change the animations of it and some other tweaks maybe? It seems like nobody is interested in tweaking the notification shade, it is kinda strange. I'd pay for an app containing this feature.
Is it possible to change the downloaded tile colors to the same color scheme you have the phone set to? such as i have my 620 set to green but the twitter and facebook app are blue. Is this possible? coming from android so kind of lost
App tiles are only set to your selected accent color if the app developer made the tile backgrounds transparent. For apps which have a "standard" color, such as Twitter's light blue, that will usually not be the case. It's purely up to the developer, though.
With interop-unlock, it should become possible to replace those icons with other ones... it's not going to be trivial, though.
afaik, this app should allow you to do so:

I have not tried, though as I like the occasional splash of color on the screen.
I'm looking for a way to make the nav bar/soft keys at the bottom of the display transparent everywhere, like it is on the homescreen on GEL
Anyone know of a method for doing this? I'm on the M preview.
I know it's possible with Xposed but I'm looking other ways.
Bump...anyone?
Bump....
It would be really easy to do if you decompile and recompile your systemui.apk but, it will not look like how you think it will look. Your nav bar will end up white or grey, because it will be transparent and behind the navbar will be dead space that is white or grey. All your full screen apps (Except launcher) do not sit behind the navbar.
I think what you actually want is a dynamic navbar that changes colour to match the primary colour of the app you are using, which is much more difficult.
Or... maybe you want an expanded desktop which allows the app to be true full screen, and you swipe up to bring the navbar up transparently over the app. Though this would cut any buttons or text fields off in the app when the navbar is up.
I see what you mean... Damn well that sucks.
Thanks for the reply.

No probs.
Hi there, I've tried to change the phone's DPI, but there's something weird...navbar, statusbar and shortcuts panel do not change with the rest of the interface! Looks like these elements cannot be modified, even with adb commands.
Has someone tried to do this thing too? Not a big issue, but the shortcuts' panel is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big for me.
No one?
I'm interested to know too. The notification bar is ridiculously tiny and there seems no way to resize it so it's easily readable.
I'm now using widgets just so i can see the time and battery power. Using a launcher that shows notifications on the apps on my home screen too.
Never had a problem like this with my pixel 2. Notification bar was legible out of the box
