Try to reflash the recovery , if that don't work relock the bootloader and run the stock ruu and get you back up and running then unlock again and flash recovery then restore the backup . The toolkit makes this process only a few minutes .
Also might wanna try fast boot flashing the kernel cause it probably didn't go through

Yeah I figured I would need to do that. I mean I know how to do everything of that sort. I just wanted to make sure. I don't like twrp haha its weird I'll just stick to wcxrecovery. Also yesterday I tried going to the toolkits website but it seems as if its down
Sent from my SCH-I905 using xda premium
Yeah...wcx is a whole lot more stable than the others out there. No need to relock or anything, just fastboot flash the recovery in boot loader.

Have you tried re-flashing a new recovery?

just boot up into your rom and re-flash a new recovery image over the one you have

If your s-off try a fastboot erase. If your not look into it. After a fast boot erase do a full wipe. Then reflash your recovery via adb. Then backup all your data to your pc. Then format your sd threw your pc and restore the factory defaults. Then reformat your sd threw recovery. No swap no partitions just fat/system. Then redownload the rom and gapps. Flash the rom then gapps right after. Then see if its boots up. If it does then boot into recovery make a nandroid, restore your data then and carry on. If not then run the ruu in zip format. Then update your radio, profile and prl. Then locate the hero root apk thread. Follow the instructions. After that you'll be rooted again so boot into recovery and make a nandroid of your sense rom for future updates then reboot. Then boot back into recovery do a full wipe and reflash your choice of recovery via adb then reflash the rom and the gapps. It should boot up. Hope this helps.

after doing the Juopunutbear s-off i tried flashing a rom into the phone and everything went well but when it rebooted the recovery starting looping. now i cant even use any recovery and cant boot the phone.
any help would do, thanks
htc-dev unlocked and Juopunutbear s-off. and running cwm
Relock bootloader, flash your carriers RUU, follow steps 1 and 4 from my guide. This will clean up everything from cwm and give you wcx recovery. A LOT of people have been having issues with cwm lately. Don't worry, you won't lose s off either.

Okay, let me know how it works out.
There is an issue when a rom uses improper scripts with CWM currently built for this device. If you get stuck in a recovery loop, the fix is to go into fastboot and type "fastboot erase cache"
90% of the time it fixes the issue. There's an updated CWM being worked on (based off CWM6) with a proper recovery kernel and ext4 mounting. it "should" avoid these issues.
Hi there,
I've used for a while with AT&T ROM without any problem.
Successfully rooted and CWM installed.
I tried to flash my phone by this ROM using CWM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2171741
However I failed. My phone didn't work with it.
Now, I cannot go into my CWM anymore. Although I reinstalled it.
I still can access to Bootloader. Select Recovery but it showed some scripts then it couldn't go further.
Anyone can tell me how to fix it?
I am frightened now since my phone is nothing more than garbage now I cannot do anything with my phone
Thank you so much
You're gonna have to relock your bootloader and run the RUU then unlock your bootloader to flash your recovery again, then you'll be able to run your recovery again. Also if you're S-ON, you have to extract the boot.img from the rom you installed and flash it before you install the rom, otherwise the phone won't boot.
Download another recovery to your computer...
Go into hboot... go to fastboot... connect via USB
Fastboot flash recovery (recovery name)
Reboot bootloader... choose recovery

Hello,
I did the way you said and it worked!!
Thank you very much.
Note: I think the ROM I flashed had some kind of weird code that led to the problem.
I used AT&T edition for my Bell Canada phone. RUU said failed during the process, however, that's when I reinstalled my CWM and it works again!
Thank you everyone for helping me with this question!
Get away from CWM...
Switch to TWRP or WCX

Ur welcome and like do what ringfool said CWM doesn't play well with this device. I personally use WCX but switch recovery cuz most of the time roms flash with errors is because of the recovery.

Yes! CWM really works badly on HTC Holiday.
WCX really rocks! It shows everything precisely and large enough to look haha.
Most of ROMs can be flashed using WCX. CWM cannot open some
TWRP for the win...Is that redundant? Flashed it last night, works flawlessly with the cm10 rom
Someone needs too post a really big sign somewhere in these forums that says DO NOT USE CWM I have seen at least 5 guys in the last month getting screwed because of it.

With the new boot loader unlock it comes time to use a recovery other than safe strap. The easiest way to flash a custom recovery, in this case, clockwordmod recovery, is to simply download ROM Manager and use it to flash the Motorola Photon Q version of CWM Recovery. I flashed it and booted into it and haven't experienced any problems as of yet so for those looking for a custom recovery straight out of the gate, this is for you.

Nice i don't know if i should try it or wait for an official one for our device. In the mean time back to my nexus 4

If you really want to give it a spin you can always flash the Photon Q version otherwise I'm sure there will be an official version ported soon

Have you flashed anything with it?
I haven't actually tried yet flashing a ROM but since I'm on stock and don't want to flash white yet I haven't had the opportunity, as long as its flashing to the device it should work with no problems

So far, i have installed the cwm for the photon q like you, and made a back up through it. Im going to see if it will restore from it as well. ill keep everyone updated.:good:
:edit: I sucessfully backed up my stock JB rom, wiped everything, and restored everything back and everythings perfect... I dont know what else to try before attempting to flash using the photon CWM. any ideas?
I uses the photon q recovery to backup & restore, and haven't had any issues yet. No ROM flashing for the time being, just haven't tried it yet.

Did you try to go back into CWM and wipe everything again after the boot loops? That sometimes helps when it is boot looping after an install.

I'm Stock Again, Restart always sent me to fastboot with a failed flash error, I could back out of it to the pizza ROM each time however I don't want to depend on my phone booting incorrectly so I used RSD and I'm stock again, I'm going to give it another try tonight.
UPDATE...Reflashed everything started over and everything works PERFECT Yippie!!! I'm very pleased!!!!

So what was your full procedure? I want to try this and try to install CM10 later.
From what I read, you installed the Photon Q CWM, installed Pizza through that, got boot loops, flashed back to stock, then installed Pizza again?

Fastboot was kicking errors and was boot looping into fastboot with firmware flash fail, I found however I could start into AOSPizza in DB mode (Safe Mode) , so I did that, charged up the phone 100% then used RSDLite and Reflashed Stock current firmware, it however does not re-lock the bootloader as some have mentioned might be the case in other post's, from there I started up the phone, turned on usb debug, used "motochopper" to root it, then installed Rom Manager from the market, flashed clockwork to device with the Photo Q CWM , copied AOSPixxaV1.zip ( The ROM ) and GappizzaV1.zip to the Phones internal storage not on the external SD memory card, from there went to clockwork mod on my atrix opened up the program and selected to reboot into recovery, went to the mounts and storage then select Mount System then go back then install zip from sd card then choose zip from sd card, then scroll to your rom and select it and it will flash when its complete you will go back and go to reboot system now, it will ask you if you want to bypass stock recovery on boot select it and your phone will reboot into AOSPizza......Have Fun!
Hi, I'm new to this whole Android business, and got a HTC One about a month ago. I rooted + unlocked my bootloader + flashed with ARHD. Everything was going fine till about a few hours ago, when my phone restarted by itself and basically entered a constantly restarting loop. It'll get to the main page, where I can see the top status bar (i.imgur.com/rLbIFVl.jpg) and then restart. I guess the easiest solution would be to do a factory reset, but I have data on the phone that I need. Is there a way to retrieve this data without losing it? I can get into recovery and make a backup and everything, but the problem is I can't access the data on my phone...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Reflash ARHD, AFAIK, it wont wipe your /data partition.. Good luck!

Reflashing didn't work. I managed to back up my data, but now I don't know what to do. I tried a factory reset, flashed back to stock, and still no go.
Hope someone can help!
Do you have an RUU for your region/carrier? Flash the RUU if you can.. Or else search for a nandroid and flash it from recovery..

My phone boots up, but only to the screen as per the attached image. Then a couple of mins later, it restarts again. In an endless cycle.
As for details, what other details do you need?
Try downloading a fresh ROM (try trickdroid or sth), check the file hashes after you're done downloading. Boot into TWRP, do a full wipe, it will wipe the phone clean. Then ADB sideload the ROM (Google it) and then flash.. That should work..
