[Q] ICS SMemo and SNote for custom roms?

Hello Forum!
I am enjoying CyanogenMod on my Note and wonder why SNote and SMemo from the official ICS update have not been ported yet. Do those Samsung Apps require a special kernel and will they ever be implemented in AOSP ROMs?

Those require TW framework to work, so it's a no-go at CM9 or its derivatives ATM.
The emphasis being on ATM. Be patient.

@chasmodo, do you mean they're working on porting tw_framework or about the opendesign implementation as seen on opendesign.droidbbq.com?

I was hoping you'd say that . I'm anxious to see what the devs will cook up, seeing that the CM9 ICS already functions much better than Samsung's official ICS.

Stocklite rom is pretty stable and its cm7 so it doesnt have many bugs

First... Bear in mind that THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BEST ROM, KERNEL, etc. But I understood what you expect. Here are some :

He did not ask for THE BEST ROM, L2READ.
He just wants a stable rom to use, since everyone is releasing roms like headless chickens and this is a mess, no one knows what to use...

Sorry PulseDroid That was My Mistake not Him..first i wrote without JB but now 1 hour ago i change my thread task. then change it to [JB].

Oh okay. Try Cyanogen Mod 10.1 PRO from OldDroid. It's got some bugs (Like pinch to zoom), but super fast and stable.
I am also busy with a new build so you could wait for that too

[ROM]CM7.2-RC3-AA[Update 4.7.12][BLACKHAWK-OC-&-FIREKERNEL-OC] Rom Is Awesome i ever Found on XDA.
I have tried more then 50 Roms for my Galaxy Ace.
But this is the most Stable, Smooth, Fast & Smart Looking Rom.
I am using this Rom about 3 Months & confidently say that this is the best Rom For Galaxy Ace GT-S5830.
I want to thank this Developer for giving us such a Wonderful Rom.

Sorry I know u ask for JB, but have you tried Democrazy CM7 ? Is pretty good.
Now I throw a question? Why would you use CM10 that is a lot heavier than CM7 which doesnt let much space to install things in it?
What is the point of having latest but super limited phone?
Is there something that I am missing?

in CM10.1 i found huge battery draining.and none of good script to increase internal memory.
thats why i m using this Rom.
But i m eagerly waiting For full Bug free JB Rom.

I donno what was my mistake. But on whatever thread I go & though I'm kind, some people on xda are targeting me like I'm their enemy. Feeling left out...

There's a bunch of JB roms, I'm using right now CyanogenMod 10.1 PRO and is awesome everything works smoothly I just have one problem though, I can't use a VPN. If you dont mind then that's a good choice.

What About Battery Draining Problem...? did u find its solved..?
use 2 or 3 days then u could understand that how that heavy Rom works.

I don't think there is any ics phone app style for gingerbread.. if you want a good dialer use exdialer from play store

The dialer is just themed to look like ICS one.. You can use CM7 ics or jb themes to set it like that..

Galaxy ace 3 comes with android 4.2.2 i dont know but it will have a dual core 1 ghz processesor if it will be novathor may be can help to our minis

[Question] JB decent and smooth ROM

Hi there, this is a desperate topic. Last night (and until now) I've been looking for a decent and smooth JB ROM for my samsung galaxy ace gt-s5830 and I couldnt find anything.
does anyone found any stable JB ROM for this device?

First of all, this is the wrong section. Should've asked in general. Anyway, no there are no smooth JB Roms for Ace since it is getting old and the CPU and RAM cannot handle JB. You can get some decent ROMs at adroidarmv6 or you can try Mardon's modded ones. Honestly, I recommend either stock, CM7 or a decent CM9 (the one from Rhievaldo is the smoothest).

The Ace's CPU is aging, CM7 should be more stable and faster than JB.
But if you _really_ want JB then just go with plain old CM
