I've been working on a website on/off for some time and im struggling to get it done on my own. From my knowledge there isn't a singular platform that allows android ROMs to be distributed, shared, updated with changelogs, updates pushed to phones and more.
Sure, there are websites & forums that act as ROM listing directories, but they usually stop there. I'm hoping to change that.
What am I after?
I'm after people that are willing to help out on a project in any free time they can spare. If we can get a experienced team together, then i'm sure it will progress much faster than I can do myself.
Expertise?
* PHP Developers
* HTML/CSS Developers
* Java Developers
* Interface Developer
* Social API integration
Requirements?
* You must be a team player, non of this 'One Man Band' stuff.
* Experience in the area - proof of any prior projects, artwork etc please.
* Be able to dedicate some of your free time towards achieving this goal.
* Drive to be part of something that could potentially become more.
Send me a message, email, chat request, G+ post if you are interested.
Oh, and if you see this message, please share it!

Sorry, but this isn't allowed.

Interesting. I should hope people come in their droves. Then again, it's a hope.
About 5 months ago, I had the idea of creating a site strictly for themes for rooted Android phones. Of course, I did my research and there are a few out there, but none of them had the organization or information one needed about any certain theme. So, I went with my idea and now today, here I am with the initial design of my latest project, Central Themes.
The way I see Central Themes is a place where developers can sign up for their own developer profiles where they will be allowed to upload their themes with screenshots, features, descriptions, etc.
Now, while users will not be able to sign-up for their own profiles, they will be able to comment and leave their feedback on themes on the website.
Now, why am I posting this here? Simply put, I need your feedback and who better to ask for feedback than the users of the themes and the developers who create them!
Right now, all I have are the initial designs and that's where you guys come in. Check out http://www.centralthemes.com/feedback and tell me what you think!
What features would you like to see added, what other information needs to be put on the theme pages, would you like forums, etc, etc, etc.
So, please, feel free to send an e-mail to the address on the website or feel free to leave your constructive criticism in this thread.
Thanks,
Travis James
I am a student doing an Interdisciplinary project as part of the Scottish Baccalaureate.
The aim of my project is to determine whether mobile application development is a sustainable business.
I will be needing some figures in terms amount of applications sold and the amount of monthly profit, if possible (average).
There will also be a section in my report which includes a detailed comparison between the trends of people buying applications, whether they are more likely to buy or just download the free app, and also the possibility of them buying a PRO version of the app.
All information provided might be used in my report, none will be given to any third parties.
My final report on my project has the possibility of being published in a research journal depending on the quality of it.
Any developer interested in taking part in this, and helping me please send me a message.
Please include your developer name (Android market, or Apple)
The name of your app/s you wish to include in this research
Your name on XDA
Also just send me a message or post here if you have any questions about my project.
bump.........
We're looking for a person or two to join us in a general development project. Our small group currently consists of ROM and kernel developers.
If you're skilled with app development and would like to be involved in a "hopefully" profit-building venture, please contact me.
Currently, we need app developers who can work to build a remote app that communicates from an Android phone or tablet to another Android device. Among features we want are: trackpad, keyboard, mirror and send content between devices, mirror screens between devices, use of sensors on phones/tablets to communicate to device, etc.
HOWEVER, each of those above features can be introduced in a set order via updates. We're not looking to build a mega app overnight.
Feel free to contact me via private message or in the thread here so we can discuss it further IF you are interested and IF you are able to handle this sort of development.
Gracias!
Hey everyone, just wanted to make this thread for anyone interested in getting some custom work done for a signature, wallpaper, logo, app icon, etc. I'm a freelance artist with a degree and have 10+ years of combined "digital art" experience as I like to call it. I am not trying to sell anything here, just doing this out of fun and to give back to the community so DO NOT EXPECT DEADLINES! However, If you need work done for commercial use (app icon, etc.) and have a deadline, we can negotiate through G+ as far as pricing goes.
P.S. If you are an app developer and like my work I will be more than happy to make revisions or updates to work I do for you as needed.
IMPORTANT
I am not taking requests directly from this thread, I am making this thread to initially gauge some feedback on people's interest in getting some work done and will have a reserved section under this post where I will post a link to my G+ Community where you can join and make requests.
This will make it easier for me personally to keep track of everything and stay organized.
More info to come on the G+ Community page (pending feedback from the XDA community)
Thank you if you took time out of your day/schedule to read this!
