That would vary
Insert witty sentence here

If something got messed with the boot, then probably hard brick. If not, then just softbrick.
If you can enter download mode it can be fixed.

That Really Depens The Only Thing That Will **** your ace relative to the kernel is bad mounting points just dont flash kernel for other models ... dont flash un-finished downloads and you'll be just fine

ok thanks guys, becuase i was going to try port a kernel to my p350

Dr. Ketan,
Black screen no detection no recovery
First make sure your battery is not completely empty. Try to charge with external charger or manage for other battery
Still nothing then manage for JIG as last option
Dr. KEtan,
I bricked the note with 95% then removed battery to prevent drain while briked. Will try JIG tonight., Will let u know

What do you think it is related with brick? Is it your fault of kernel or ROM fault. It is really annoying situation... Im sorry for your loss man...
Im not really an expert on android, but i would consider myself an advanced user so correct me if im wrong....
Couldnt it be, that the boot.img from the rom got corrupted somehow and thats the reason why it hanged while flashing it? Coz as of how i understood what the boot.img is used for, it would explain why u cant boot in recovery/dl-mode. Simply coz there is no bootloader on ur phone. Just an idea...

Well, im not a pro too to understand that since CWM erased bootloader and did not replaced it with the other version. How about SSC? Will they notice since my counter was not reset?

I have warned in hydracore thread that CWM 6.0.1.2 caused me and another user from a different thread to softbrick.
I got bashed by the fanatics in return.

@jeroen180 send it in, they wont notice, just tell them ur phone got slow sow u did a factory reset and now it refuses to boot send my sgs in that way, before the jig was know, and my gf sent her sgs plus in abot 2 weeks ago with the same story

Yeah, I agree, if you tell them you just had to do a factory reset because it got really slow and laggy than they shouldn't have a problem. They wouldn't bill you either unless they had prior authorization.

First off before you start quoting other threads in other fourms, take a minute to get your facts in order.. Miui for the note has not been released to the public as of this date because it has the possibility to brick you device as it has the unsafe Samsung kernel (yes the same kernel as your stock note ), so if your running Miui on your note than your running a leaked version (then in that case you should know the risk involved) that is either running the stock kernel or it has one of the hydracore versions as it is the only option miui has at the moment unless your on one of the cm versions. So not defending either the rom/kernel he was trying to flash or what he was coming from as he really doesn't state either .. it would help if he provided such information. Sorry to the owner but before you get your device JTAGGED you may want to check with a samasung service center because the JTAGGED will void your warranty..

No ,CWM will not erase or even touch the bootloaders ,only PC ODIN can do that ,boot.img refers to the kernel ,I've had a corrupted boot.img flash once ,easily solved via PC ODIN ,the phone would start up and show the logo but nothing more if that happens .I doubt that's the case here but you could try a blind flash in PC odin and see if that works .

How you explain the phone stays black screen after hanging in CWM with boot.img? U suggest my board broke by accident? Someone can explain?
Could it be,
that,,,, i forgot to reboot after flashing the Hydrakernel... and eMMC bricked the bootloader perhaps? since the bootloader is stored on the chip as well?

Are you on stock kernel? If so then flash some safe kernel and try full wipe, if that too doesn't help, then flash stock firmware using pc odin.
I am assuming you are on ICS, as you didn't provide any info. You should have mentioned the method used for root and everything.

Take it to a samsung service center and ask them to reset the phone. Tell them its too slow after the latest update using kies. If there is a problem with the motherboard they will report back and replace under warranty.
Else they will install the OS completely new and you can start from scratch to root and install other custom roms.
Try using USB jig to go to download mode, try it first. Jig is not expensive.

No it's not bricked. Yes you lose your warranty, but you can unroot your Note. Don't warry Note is so good phone, that you don't need warranty

Thats why i want the warranty so i can take the phone to samsung and fix this issue. And im afraid to unroot it cause when ever i try to put my phone on recovery mode its stucks and take for ever to open againm\

1. try going into recovery and do a factory reset.
2. if that doesn't help, reflash and all your problems are solved.
do a clockwork mod backup before messing around next time

Use LG mobile support tool, also its "stuck" not "stock"
What are you on? He needs to reflash the rom as he changed the fonts and some may be missing, happens to loads of people, no need for a factory reset, just restore the fonts folder or reflash the rom, if you don't have an unlocked bootloader, bite the bullet, unlock ya bootloader and come over to AOSP in which i would recommend a 4.2.2 ROM.. or do the long winded way of flashing the stock Rom, your all giving some real extreme methods, it doesn't have to be this complicated..

[Q] HTC Desire C stuck during boot

Hi everyone,
Recently I tried to follow a post from xda dev on putting a new kernel on my HTC Desire C.
Although I followed all the steps I am now unable to get past the boot screen wit the htc logo.
I have tried a number of solutions to make it work but nothing so far, backup recovery failed, changing to another kernel failed.
I think that at this point it might be bricked, and all that I can see is the logo and a disclaimer message.
Does anyone has any idea if I could fix it, and what do I need to do?
Kind regards,
Florin
Edit: thanks to aashay960 for telling me how to fix this.
The solution was to reinstall kernel and rom (since I made a mess of it initially)
Current config : CyanogenMod 10 + N.O.P.E Kernel 875Mhz

I tried the Prometheus Kernel for sense linked in your signature with the stock. I got to the HTC logo screen and it got stuck there. It might be that the method I used was wrong.
Would it be possible to use the ones you do? Cyanogem mode and the N.O.P.E Kernel?
Can I install them only with recovery? And is there and "xda approved" method of installing kernels and custom roms?
Thanks,
Florin
Flash a lower frequency Prometheus Sense Kernel from fastboot.
You cannot use nope for sense roms. Nope is for Jellybean roms only.
As of now we have two ways to flash a kernel on this device. One is fastboot, which I personally use. Second is the auto Boot.img flasher that you will find if you search..
For now, tell me what frequency you tried. And try a lower one.

Hi, I forgot to mention in the previous one that I initially used the 816 one, and then switched to the lower one 767.
Is it worth it to try a "clean install" as in a new configuration with a new kernel and rom?
No a wipe is not necessary.
Just make sure you do
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Try an even lower one.
Now that your bootloader is unlocked. Why not try a custom rom?

Sorry for the confusion I caused.

As you followed a guide that just ripped DooMLoRD's work from XDA, you most probably flashed the wrong kernel for your firmware, which is the cause of your problem.
Get the correct kernel from here, which is the source of the guide and files that website is using.
