kernel version is not equal to android version.
android 2.3 (gingerbread) from google is using 2.6.35 kernel version. but we can use 2.6.32 or 2.6.37 or other version.
so we can't say linux kernel 2.6.32 = android 2.2 (froyo)
ps: sorry, wrong quote

Thats right, we have Android 2.2/2.3 running 2.6.29, and there native kernels are .32 (Froyo) and .35 (Gingerbread)
Jack
If the kernel is ported correly does that mean gingerbread Tom's would be Easter to port and have less problems?
not realy
it just means that some functions would work better and nativaly
such as wifi tethering
can you guide me or make a tut on the how to port 2.6.35 kernel? i am willing to port that kernel or feature of it on huawei u8230 which have already an unofficial kernel 2.6.32...thank you.

i don't think so...
but if you want more (android 4) there are in the Developers section
Facepalm...3.0 = Tabs Exclusive
Android 3.x is only for tablets in general could be ported (even if you "HAKA" ported (thanks for that ^ ^) but a lot did not work. Know before ported to 3.x is a long time ago we would have fully functional Android 4.0.xw and 4.1.x in the future I wish simply no time for it. Download the honeycomb luncher, themes, fonts, and you have Android 3.x Yours!

slow or fast: it's subjective to user's own experience. you'll get gb like smoothness upto cm9. but you need to understand; our ace was never meant to run ics, jb or kitkat. for god's sake, look at the ram! but if you are desperate to taste jb or kk there is a trade off for speed. you can't have it both ways. still, these roms are pretty smooth. but it's upto you. Test yourself.

this rom is not 4.0+....but id highly recommend it...it is the most amazing rom for the ace(personal opinion)
rom is THE ULTIMATUM by the A factor
hope you like it

Lollipop, but no one know if it will be 4.5 or 5.0
It will be announced this summer at Googles IO. There are online reservations for event.
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
well, it's not yet known whether it's 4.5 or 5.0 .. and it's most likely called lollipop, following Google's custom to name their android versions in names of desserts alphabetically and it's the turn of "L" letter .. but yet again, it's not confirmed, as the last version was supposed to be called key lime bay but now it's called kitkat .. so .. yeah
I'm going to go with Liquorice

Android 2.2 Froyo
