Hi, I am a user of velicty 4g from HK. (My English is really rubbish, sorry)
As shown in the title, my phone is dead suddenly when i was listening to music.
The following conditions are given.
Phone: Velocity 4g
Rom: Borken Rom Sense 4.1 ver.3.6 (Android 4.0.4)
The phone usually go out suddenly(about one-two time per day), it could be restarted by resetting the battery, but this time cannot.
Phone won't charge neither no orange light shown and the button won't vibrate when pressing it.
The monitor is on and give a black screen if I take out sim card and sd card.
The monitor is also on with a black screen if I charge the phone without battery.
Won't get into recovery nor bootloader.
Won't detected by computer when linked with the USB cable
I prefer not to have warrenty because i had it just 2 weeks ago due to the broken monitor glass....(HKD1300! I don't want to pay anymore!)
no one reply? wtf....?
First off... we are not HTC tech support... that's why people post that disclaimer...
Second... have you read the other topics in this thread...
Third... and most important... what recovery are you using...

sorry for my impolite comment
my current recovery is cwm.

May need a new battery to get the phone back on so you can boot up and change recovery.

Have you tried a different USB cable or charger? If the phone is not charging and you have tried a different battery (do you have an external charger for the battery) you might be at the end of your luck. Basic logical troubleshooting, start with power (battery, charger, outlet) and expand from there. If you have tried changing the battery but the battery was dead or your charger is faulty you could still have no power. Do you have a friend with the same phone, maybe have them loan you their battery.
Thank you!

Tried everything....
And finally HTC said the warrenty fee is HKD2060 (I bought this phone with HKD3000). I think i would buy a new one. (i won't buy htc again because it is very hard to buy accessories and the warrenty fee is too harsh for me.)
yesterday, i flahed ViperOne 2.0.0_ team viper. Since then my phone charge unnormally @@: full charge after 2h30' and battery calibration show: 4303mV. otherwise my HTC's battery seems normal 1day/1charge.
HeLLo my iPhone Charges faster
up~~~~~:crying::crying:
That's fine. I guess the kernel in that rom has quick charge activated.

Hi All,
I have HTC One (ATT) running Android Revolution HD 22 with Android 4.3. When the charge reaches 100% (and I have waited about 4hrs after that), the charging circuit does not cut-off as it used to on the previous Android 4.1 based ATT ROM. Are other users experiencing this?
Thanks,

When the phone indicates 100% if you check the current it's still drawing about 160mA and will continue to charge until the current draw drops to 0mA which can take a while longer but when it reaches 0 it's not charging any more so you don't need to worry about it overcharging.

How can i check the current draw, see the snapshot of battery monitor widget that i attached, in my case the current draw did not reach zero. Does that means that charging was not cut off after 100 percent charge ?
Does battery monitor not work with HTC one ?
Hello,
I have a problem with my battery stats...
I'm using ArtMod V10 ROM and it shows ~45% -> Then it suddenly turns off and you need a charger.
The battery now shows 1%.
Is there any fix for that or just a bad battery?
No ideas?
What is your Battery age?
If it's older than 3 yr. you can expect this.

It's easy to buy a new one on ebay and installing it DITO
is there Any Kernel/Rom/Tweal/MOD to increase charging speed/current?
HTC One m8 Sprint

Kernel: Rom Default (3.4.0-Beyond Stock M8 Sense 5.0.0+ [email protected] BuildBox #2 SMP Preempt)
P.S. - I shanged 3 Chargers with 2 AMP capacity with 3 new cables with different brand but all giving same result.
