[Q] What is the best jelly bean rom for I9000 ? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

from 1 week i instaled jelly bean JRO03L RC12.1
What is the best jelly bean rom for you ?
I want to see if I try another rom or or stay to this

C-RoM BeaN, Helly Bean and CM10. Try them.

Also "slim bean" is pretty good

Try out Tsunami X 1.5, its pretty good.

Fanzyroy build 27 awesome
I think I tried most Jb but I think fransyroy modified Helly bean build 27 is so far the best.
with the new Devil 3- 1.6.0
update from Build 26 From Goo.im:good::good:

Try C Rom jelly bean 1.9.0
Its awesome with great battery and stable
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app

Slim Bean.
The only one that I really liked, when I was trying JB.

Is AOKP jelly bean stable for the SGS i9000?
Sent from my GSM Galaxy Nexus running AOKP Jelly Bean Build 1

I personally swear by CM10 with stratosk's semaphore kernel. Helly bean is also pretty solid. Both are super fast and stable

http://goo.im/devs/franzyroy/CM10_Franzy_Build-28[B_27-09][NEW].zip

i personaly thinks that tsunami X is the best rom but i think you should try the version 1.1 because 1.5 makes me battery problems

Try darkyrom black edition 11
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App

I've been using Slim ICS for a while and it's pretty slick. I moved to Slim JB but didn't like the new (now old) partition layout, so I rolled back. Now, CM10 has a new partition layout, so it is probably worth another look.

try on GNEX JRO03U Stock or Samsungized it work very good , the problem is lil bit with WiFi to turn it on u must turn on BT and reboot :/
or Trying MiUi roms always the best

Best Jelly Bean Rom

Hi,
which is the best Jelly Bean Rom for the i9000?
I am just on Helly Bean but it has some lags.
What about Slim Bean and CM10?
What are the differences? Which one is the most stable? Which one runs smooth?
Thanks
There's nothing really fully stable atm, you'll have to wait some time.

This Rom Is Good.
Could be used on a daily basis!

Please just wait for CyanogenMod 10, I promise it will be worth it
These threads are unneeded and a little stupid. A mod should close it

Yes the answers were not that good so far.
But I hoped this could be a real discussion about the pros and cons of the different roms.

latest v13 build ... jelly bean very smooth/stable /and the lag problems... no problem . I have tried most Jelly Bean roms & it is in my top 2 picks
Works Beautifully
Hi Mate
If you're going to use Jelly Bean, this would be my recommendation
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1820578
It's fast as hell, no bugs/lags or anything that I could pick up in the last 3 days that Im using it. Simply put, one incredible rom from a guy in Turkey. From the look of it, this guy knows what he is doing. It even has OTA, which is an updater that updates your rom without having to format your phone and re-install. I chop and change allot when it comes to operating systems, there's always something new out there, but this one has bowled me over, simply put, one amazing rom.
the best one
tried lots of roms, but combination of magic bean + semaphore 206s kernel works perfectly
I am also wondering the same thing, but I want to know which is the most stable and bug-free ROM.
I want to install it on my girlfriend's phone, but she knows nothing about flashing and she will be away for a few months, so I need something that she won't have to mess around with.
I now have Helly Bean in the latest version on my phone.
It is realy good so far and more or less stable..
But for someone with no experience in this kind of stuff I perhaps would recommend a Gingerbread Rom. I once had MIUI. It is a good experience.
Have you guys get any bugs lately with JB? I seem to install CM10 but I can't access my old photos in my gallery...tried RemIcsJB too.
ive been using elitemovil rc12.1 4.1.1 JRO03L and its been great, no lags, everything has worked for me, no gallery or media issues so far
SlimBean 2.2 is fast smooth and stable for everyday use. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!

You can use ANGRY v3 or SVA ROM JB v5.1 for Jelly Bean (xxlsc)
But is you want to more stable and problemless rom, you should use ICS rom. I think the best rom on ICS is Criskelo's v11.2
Have a good use

hi Senior members
pls help me to choose the most stable and graphical 4.2.1 rom that has Lots of features for daily usage

Everybody has his/her own preferences. Only through self-testing can one be truly satisfied if it's the right Rom for him/her.
Users of every Rom can say that what they are using is the best.
Device: GT-i9000
Rom: JB 4.2.1 blackbean-7
Kernel: Mackay 0.234
Try mackay rom or slim rom.
Also as said above everyone had its own taste you might need to flash couple of roms to see which one is good for you.

Like the posts above say each to there own IMO hellybean (both derteufel's and franzyroys) are really stable but also consider c-rom too personally i would look at the op's and screens of the ROMs that interest you most and ask some members from the threads there thoughts and then make your choice

I would say SLIMROM is the best!!!
does slimbean come with its own kernel or does kernal need to be flashed seperatley
Idk CM10 is perfectly stable for me...
I'm both overclocking and using stuff like RAM Manager though and the alternatives might not require that (CM10.1 sure does for me), but I'm very happy with my phone atm

Slim comes with the latest Semaphore kernel
I bet you want to try C-rom mix v5 Silk smooth.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
im usig cm10 stable build, although its 4.1.2 im betting the cm10.1 stable of 4.2.1 will be the best once its out.
personnally i like helly bean and mackay rom, they are both fast and not very laggy
I use JB AOSP from pawitp from 20121209 - the only thing which annoys me is incoming calls - when phone rings picture of contact is partially hidden. It lacks some options from CM10 but works like a charm.
CM10.1
I use the latest Nightly from CM10.1 and have'nt come across any problems...
AW: [Q] most stable 4.2.1 Rom
I use the newest HellyBean and got 4900 points on antutu with 114% live OC
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Fishears 4.2.1 ROM is pretty slick too. It uses the old partition layout so it can make proper use of the faster iNand.
thanks for everyone
i use [4.2.1] Vanilla Rootbox and it seems the most stable for now....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2122727
..you can also try " C-RoM Mix 4.2.1 v6!!! "
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1925195
I can never stay on the same ROM for too long. However, Slim and Hellybean were quite fast.
My favourite 4.2.1 rom is CyanAOSP.
It comes with the semaphore kernel and a sgs3 design.

Does it reccomend to move to jellybean

I have gb rom 2.3.6 didn't move to ics cause I didn't like the desgin
is JB roms are stable?? better than the JB ons?
I installed Slim Bean 4.2.2 just about a week ago, came from stock 2.3.6 and I am not regretting it
This ROM just flies, it's super fast, stable and fancy looks
I didn't miss my slow 2.3.6 every since, should have flashed earlier

Totally agree, the current jb roms work great and are highly configurable.Last Tsumami 4.5.Saludos.
I am running CM10.1 and it is rock solid. You will not regret the switch.
I've got Helly Bean 4.2.2 up and running on my Galaxy S and this thing's almost as fast as my N4!
And not a single JB user can set external sdcard as target for photo or HD video from camera?
if ur a hardcore gamer then stay with stock value pack , jb roms use more ram than value pack so r slow in playing games but the interface is smoother
my tip

I recommend this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075637.
Or Slim rom. JB 4.2.2 are the best. Stable and faster than GB or ICS.
don't hesitate
Also In developer tools choose 3 background processes.
ROW scheduling in Performance menu
Slim rom simply the best ... blazing fast! i recomend slim with mackay kernel..

This is not true, there are JB roms like ts1506's CyanAOSP which are much much better than stock 2.3.6. I could not play hardcore games on stock which is why i switched to CyanAOSP
Go for any AOSP rom CyanAOSP, SuperNexus,... They all are smooth n good for gaming n good battery backup

Very smooth, fast and good battery.
It is one of my favorites.

i running CM10.0 didnt like 10.1 based roms, so will stick to CM10 with this phone.
It's MUCH more stable. Benchmarks are MUCH better. But it's not recommended to restore titanium backup after update because of compatibility issues
Yep, if u go to any AOSP JB ROM you'd be surprised how your SGS can work smootly, stable and fast.
I didn't try CyanAOSP but it seems like good choice. Right now i'm on supernexus with semaphore and it works like a charm.
Just try JB. You'll love it. Much smoother andere faster!

Hey 4.x.x is more smooth than 2.x.x but I think battery life is not as good.
I never regreded it cause 4.x.x has so much mor extras!
I don't think so;jb batterie is more friendly then GB ROMs.

I don't really use much apart from cm7, cm9 and cm10/10.1. Right now it's helly bean which is cm10.1 based, but I'd really recommend some stable AOKP or fresher cm9 build. Cm10.1 is alright but I feel the galaxy S is a bit hard to squeeze more juice out of.
The last speedmod kernel hardcore released for the valuepack stock roms was the best kernel I had ever seen. Cm9 should be equally smooth now. I wish hardcore made kernels for cm.
I'd prefer to use cm9 or cm10/10.1 with a decent devilkernel build instead of using helly bean because the difference is minimal, datadata partition is hb only I guess but with hb using nightly sources it's rarely bugfree and flawless. Still I use helly bean because I don't bother reinstalling apps if I change to a rom without datadata who isn't cm10.1 based.
