Hi,
Does anyone faced an issue that the home button stopped functioning? It does not go to home screen nor does it show the recent applications on the long press. I enabled heptic feedback and it reacts when I touch the home icon but it does not do what it supposed to do.
Thanks.

It would be wise to update your phone to at least CM7.. (if your signature is not outdated).

I'm having the same issue. I installed:
cm-7-20121104-NIGHTLY-passion.zip
gapps (gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
Home button does not work (but gives haptic response as reported above). There are other problems as well; Play Store won't connect, and the system is generally unstable and reboots fairly often.
Is there a more stable version that I should be using?
Thanks,
bp

Hey there,
In my unofficial build from 3th of May for HTC Desire:
the LEDs are not working.
the hardware keys are working fine, except for home button long press. It vibrates, but does not bring the Recent apps. Also I did not find a preference under Settings / Buttons to associate this action with Recent apps.
Everything else is just perfect!
Keep up the great work! :good:
Cheers!

I have found a simple solution for the first issue. Just in case someone needs it, here you are: https://github.com/spezi77/android_device_htc_bravo/commit/84ab3e63071af6229080d7fd19c1d77b3967a6a6

And here is the solution for the other issue. Also very simple, I had only to set the configuration to "1 - Recent apps dialog": https://github.com/spezi77/android_device_htc_bravo/commit/0ba31218200abed06d810d2fbc111e5ea8227bdb
I suddenly feel like a total noob. I've just upgraded to stock lollipop.
I can't decide whether it is a bug after upgrade or whether I don't have a clue.
I cannot access recent apps. I've tried double tapping the home button, sliding up from the home button, (thought that was the Google Now shortcut) and neither seem to do anything. I really miss task switcher. Can someone tell me whether I'm doing anything wrong, or is there a bug in the stock rom?
Many thanks,
Can anyone just confirm that I should be switching between recent apps by double tapping the home physical button on stock lollipop?
Thanks

Yes double tap home takes you to the recent apps
Details of the device
I'm using the latest CM11 version from Novafusion.
Problem and steps I've taken
Currently I've got a problem where the home button intermittently activates on its own (but only long-presses, so if I disable long-press in the OS, it'll be fine for normal operation), without any interference. The side effect (which is my main issue) of this is that it means my phone's screen effectively turns on by itself 24/7, which is obviously bad for many, many reasons.
I'm asking whether there's anyway I can disable the home button? I've tried Android-HomeKey-Locker (can't link it, but the Google Play version of the thing on GitHub) but it hasn't done anything.
I'm aware I can turn on the software buttons, but they don't deactivate the physical buttons: and I only want to disable home anyway.
So my question is, is there any way of doing this? I can take the back and menu keys if needed.
Side note
Is it possible in anyway to bind long-press back to home? I asked this for CM12 a while back (and I've since downgraded), but is this possible with Cyanogen, as I've been able to do it with Carbon ROM on 4.4.4.
Hi! I currently use this app on CM 12.1 to enable softkeys and disable hardware keys:

sorry for my bad english

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the help. Someone on reddit gave me a working solution by using Xposed Additions to remap the buttons how I wanted them to.
Hi all.
Currently running CM13 Unofficial on my Mi5.
It appears as though my hardware home button on my Mi5 has failed... Hard press does nothing....
This started on my previous ROM 16/09/2016, and continues on my new ROM 22/09/2016.
I strongly suspect this is a hardware issue rather than a software issue...
My question for you guys is how do I reassign buttons? Is it possible to make the right capacitive (currently app switcher) the home button?
Also, my preferred button to use as a home button would be the soft capacitive touch on the fingerprint scanner on the home button so i can retain my app switcher button....
Any help guys is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
When Xiaomi releases Kernel Source there will be an option for non physical home button. On rr you can reassign more options to your buttons. Cm does not work on my device.

If your home button is broken, then maybe you should enable 'on screen' (software) buttons from Buttons submenu in Settings?
Capacitive touch is not going to work on prebuilt kernel (every ROM so far, wait for CM's big update).

Have done so. Cheers for the suggestion.. I didn't know this option existed!
As for the capacitive buttons not working, I've seen this mentioned a number of times... My capacitive buttons have always worked since flashing CM?

Yeah, fingerprint to unlock and such.. What about touching (not pressing) home button to return to the launcher? That's what everybody wants to have (and waits for proper kernel)

OK... Thats what I don't have...
Thanks for clarification.
Any idea when there's likely to be a build with this baked in?

Nobody knows.. No ETA
I've tried Swiftkey and Gboard, it's the same!! Lag!!
Please anyone, help me...
I had the same feeling at the beginning, I fixed it by setting the ignore accidental edge touch option (or something like that) to small area. The problem was that some touches, like the "a" or "q" weren't getting registered.
Same also the back button in navigation panel sometimes is not working
No issues with mine.
