Can I just place on SD and flash like most other fonts?
*Update* Based off what I just unzipped I would say no. How can I get this font on my phone?

How do I make this font into a flashable file? What program do I need. I tried manually creating a zip file, but that failed.

No but you have to have a custom ROM. Since it seems you're new, I would recommend the TheOfficial Donut ROM if your on a G1. Very close to stock, but with root goodies. It's also very fast.

ditto. or CM 4.15.1 or whatever. extreme speed boosts over 14, finally made CM usable again... SuperD and others were getting much faster, but CM caught up and it has a noob-friendly updater.

Hmm is it really that much faster? I switched to SuperD at after .14 because it was soo slow for 3D games, and now I switched to TheOfficial just because it is a BEAST for 3D gaming. Think CM can handle it now?

hi guys,
first of all, i did not create this app so all props should go out to alankila from TeamVillain.
i really like what it does and the simplicity of it...it really makes a friggin' big difference to the sound
so therefore i want to share it with those not using FroydVillain ( i searched for it in market but could not find it )

Open up the zip and look for 'em in either data/app or system/app.

It works on Cronos Froyo 0.2.
open up command prompt (if on windows)
type :
cd\
cd C:\AndroidSDK\tools\ (or were ever your androidsdk is located)
adb install DSPManager.apk (if the .apk is in the tools directory of your Android SDK or if it is in downloads it would be
adb install C:\downloads\DSPManager.apk)

Or you can put the apk in the root of your SD Card download Astro Filemanager go to your sdcard find the apk and install it.

eh..well..i dunno to be honest
i'm just a really simple-minded 'user' so i just extracted the *.apk from the zip-file and installed it with oi filemanager on my phone
i'm now running Cronos 0.2 and it works just fine so far...i really like what it does! so alankila, thnx! ...now my hero really rocks
i tried the same procedure with the cpuspeed.apk but that didn't work ( really liked that proggie as well! )
*when i close my eyes i start dreaming of a 'Feeyo/Villain' colaboration resulting in the best hero-rom everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....damn that would be something

no gone back to VR12 till bug is sorted in mmod, and all i get is invalid parser of file or summmit along them lines

Is this built only for 2.2? Tried on Chronos 2.1.3 and get invalid parser error

Froyo only AFAIK, and I think it needs to be built into the ROM with a lib or two as well...

[Q] Building AOSP and deploying to phone

I have built AOSP froyo successfully. I want to copy some of the APKs to my phone and install them, but it won't install. It shows the file as invalid in the app manager, and gives me 'INSTALL_ERROR_OLDER_SDK' when I try to install via pm install in a terminal.
Is there something special I need to do before I deploy the APKs I have built? Resign them, etc?
I'm running cyanogen 6.1 stable in case you're wondering. Thanks!

Try installing using adb

USB debugging must be turned on in Settings -> Applications -> Development to work

My friend gives me aosp builds to test all the time, along with hacked launchers and stuff, and neither of us have this problem.

Try decompiling and editing the manifest. Something about minrequredversion or something.

This is for the the aokp.co boot animation competition! It's 540x540 because the rules say that it must work with every supported device and the lowest resolution in an AOKP supported device is 540x960.
I can't get any of my boot animations to work, but the ingredients are here (part0, part1, desc.txt)

I rezipped it for you, as long as it's named properly for the device and given the proper permissions, this zip file will work. Already tried it on my phone. You're welcome.

For future references, just know that you must save your zip with the "store" compression, not "normal". That may be the issue

Winrar has an unlimited "30 day" trial! Lol
Edit: or maybe you aren't pressing the right option? When you right click, do you have the option to "add to archive"? That's the one with all the features. If you select add to zip or whatever, it won't give you that

Haha I'm one of the few people who only use linux so I doubt my way will help many people. I zipped it from the linux terminal(which is how I do all my bootanimations) using the command "zip -r -0 bootanimation.zip part0/* part1/* desc.txt". But as long as the zip is made without compression(the -0 does that in the command I posted) it will work and you can use any windows archive program with that capability.

Im on a modded stock ROM and i have done a test, will running Antutu benchmark test i run to logcat and get this errors:

If you want to try this is what you need to do:
after boot the phone, wait a bit, enable debug mode and in adb write this:

adb shell logcat >> c:\logcat.prop
run Antutu and press enter in adb! Wait to finish then and press CTL+C to finish logcat.
Go to c:\ and open logcat.prop with notepad++ [ is easy to read the file]

Im still checking but need help like where is setgpuboost, what is trying to do, etc, etc...

@persona78 i don't think GPU boost is available for this phone! I already tried that and never got success, so, yeah, that's just my opinion!
