Hi,
I'm running CM10 on Samsung galaxy S. Flawless! One question though: is it possible to initiate a call by sliding over a contact (like in gingerbread)?

i'm interesting in galaxy s2 style dialer too...
(groups+preferred in different tab and all integration with facebook images)
You've got this features in GO Contact app
In GO SMS you can add a Facebook plugin to have all your conversations in the same app.
O2X withTopogigi ROM 1.3/NeoBlaze kernel

I've some problems with Go contacts EX...
-some linked contacts don't dsplay che correct contact (but one of the others)
-the preferred don't start dial immidiatly
I prefer the original GS2 dialer or the old Optimus One Dialer (without groups)
Or maybe the Cyanogenmod dialer? have the preferred tab i suppose...
Can we test that with v20e rom ?
Would also love to know what would it take to get GS2 dialler to O2X.

i have two black galaxy note, for me and my wife - the each have the same contacts delay problem.
i saw different between the two:

my galaxy note:the camera flash is strongest than the second G. note
my galaxy note: made in Vietnam and the other made by Samsung
but i saw the third black galaxy note with my friend, it made in Vietnam with same color of my second G.note (white color is clear).

Even I have same problem on my SGN bought in India. I'm using "ExDialer and Contacts" app with SGS 2 theme. Even this has lag but only 1-2 seconds.
Hello!
Im using Asylum ICS rom, and i have no lag in contacts/dialer.
Are you running stock rom? maybe something with original rom that causes the lag.
As for the whiteness i dont seem to have any problem what i can see.
I had the same problem and fallowed this tutorial: and started fresh with my Galaxy Note and everything works fine since then.
Maybe you have a different problem but it's worth to give it a try
No lags on my Galaxy Note From day one..
If you are On stock GB . Perform a factory Reset/Data wipe.
after that In display settings Check No animations.
If you are Rooted Uninstall all the Samsung useless stuff.
If this will Not help Search a custom Rom that suits you best.
Thane flash it.
Enjoy your Note.
Hi guys.... before posting, ive searched xda and found nothing confirmatory about the call recording option in Galaxy S i9000. So is it possible in this device to record calls ? most of the apps in play store dont work at all on galaxy s ...... is there any workaround ported or developed by any one ?
Yes it is possible. I created a working PoC which should be implemented in libalsa.
I suggested to Cyanogenmod that they shall implement my PoC. But due to their internal policy they won't.
I understand and respect that.

Thanks dmueller2.
Is your solution something a typical (rooted) user could implement themselves?
I had call recording working on Stock 2.3.3 (UGKG3) with Auto Call Recorder Pro 2.4.1, by Appstar Solutions.
Once I upgraded to 2.3.6 (XWJW1-->XWJW5-->XWJW7), the other party could not hear me and would hang up. I'm not sure if it is due to the upgrade, or the Semaphore kernels which are based on Samsung kernels.
There are some working solutions out there but who wants to go back to Froyo.
..
I am running CM9 stable MOD and would like to have the stock samsung contacts app.
Can anyone port the contacts app from galaxy S3 ? because i would really love the swipe to call/sms function of the app.

You can download EX dialer from the play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5tb2Rvb2h1dC5kaWFsZXIiXQ..)

Yeah, that would be an option but it lacks couple of important features. Firstly it can do the swipe to call in the dialer app but not in the contacts part and secondly it cannot merge contacts in the way samsungs contacts can. It would be nice to get the app from SGS2 or 3 running on SGS1 with ICS.
even I would love to have the same...contacts and dialer from the Samsung stock rom...
plz anyone..can help us out with this....I badly need dis.....I loved the samsung contacts n dialer...
That's exactly what I've been searching for the past few weeks, surely someone has the answer?

Hello guys,
I had been using Slimbeans ROM for the last few months and found it to be really good. However just recently I was trying to do a video call and found that the Slimbeans ROM hasn't got the video call feature in the dialler at all. Is this due to the stock dialler carried over from the stock ICS ROM released for the Galaxy Nexus? Would I need to change my default dialler to something else? What do you recommend I replace the default dialler with to call someone's mobile number with video feature?

What happened if the person you're calling doesn't have access to wifi to use Skype? Wouldn't the video feed become laggy and affect the voice quality as well?
