[Q] Samsung GT-i9001 XXKI3 firmware

I was wondering if someone could help me, I recently bought a Samsung i9001 and I am a bit confused with the firmware as it seems to be the same as SGS2. The details of my phone are as follows
Model Number : GT-I9001
Firmware version : 2.3.3
Baseband Version :I9001XXKI3
Kernel Version : 2.6.35.7
Build Number : GINGERBREAD.XXK13
If this is the same am I able to update the firmware using SGS2 firmware?

DONT EVEN TRY IT!!! You will get your phone Bricked for sure!!! Only update I9001 Firmware

thats samsung's new update policy for u

The ROMs between SGS2 and SGS+ are totally different. The numbers can be the same, but it doesn't matter. You can check other Samsung's stock ROMs just to notice they are all quite similar.
Do not in any case try to flash ROM from different phone.

What is the differance between 2.3.3 and 2.3.5?

Some potential bug fixes, like camera or so on. Battery life and performance seems a bit better. There's also 2.3.6 (ZSKP6) But includes only few asian languages and English UK and US

I know it is a bit of a cheek but do you have a link for the 2.3.6 firmware?

Need some help here u guys....
I dont want to open up a new thread for this so i guess it'll fit right in here...
I downloaded ROM Toolbox recently which btw ****ED UP my phone, sonetimes the phone gets stuck now and many apps (also some I've already installed before) cant be downloaded via marked cuz now they are marked as not compatible with my device...
so before i play arround like crazy theres one question :
Is there a ROM out there which is like an enhanced version of the stock rom ? Many roms dont look very good (talking about the appearance), and an enchanced version of the stock rom without all the sync bs of google and stuff would be very cool....
this rom toolbox is such a crappy tool for sgs+....
i really need some help here this phone is starting to piss me off and i only rooted it and never flashed a new rom to the sgs+ (to no other phone neither)..
Can u guys give me some advices here plz ?

Oops Sorry mate

Are these all the stock roms available ? im looking for my original Stock rom which was i9001XXK13 which is 2.3.3 Gingerbread, i just need this to fall back on if any problems arise and i need to claim warranty.

GT I001SGS plus and I am success full.
The only difference in adoption was I copied the 4.0.1 ICS Custom ROM to my external sd card and used the recovery mode
now my S plus is

[Q] Can't connect to Wifi

Stuck at "Obtaining IP Address..."
Any solutions?
Been looking around the forum for a heck of a long time already, just didn't want to put my problems down on the board right away.
Some facts about my Captivate.
Model Number: Samsung-SGH-I896
Firmware Version: 2.2
Baseband Version: I896UXJL1
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9
Build Number: FROYO.UXJL1
I believe I did a root with SuperOneClick v1.7, haven't had a chance to see if it worked or not because I had no internet access to download any programs.

Did u try rebooting ur router ? I know it's an obvious question and no offense meant by it, sometimes we do overlook the obvious, so... had to ask
And secondly, u could always flash a different modem on ur phone.

Flashing a different modem? Any ideas? I'm new to all this rooting business and I would prefer not to ruin my phone in anyway..

I had the same problem. I had to reflash Froyo to fix the problem.

[Q] GT-P1010 GB 2.3.6 rooted WiFi no longer working

Hello folks,
I have a Samsun Galaxy Tab 7.0 WiFi GT-P1010, that I just recently updated the software to GB.XXKPI, Kernel 2.6.35.7-CL749223, Firmware 2.3.6, and then i rooted the device using CWM. Now, my WiFi isn't working, the button to turn on WiFi says error.
A friend of mine rooted my phone and it had the same error, but i am unable to contact him. Where or how would i go about getting the wifi drivers/firmware or whatever kind of of software i need to enable the wifi?

Witch CWM did you use?
The only one that worked for me, I got at MadTeam forum.
Thats the only one that works with KPI.

The version I'm running is CWM Manager 3.0 by Chainfire.
It says my kernel is unknown.

unfortunately, the madteam website is broken or soemthing because i havnt been able to get the stupid Captcha thing doesnt work.

i have the sam probelms..too..after i upgrade gb P1010DXKP5_P1010OLBKP5_HOME.tar than i instal madteam-cwm-p1010-kpi..my wifi doesn't work..i read other solution like copy wifi folder on \system\etc\wifi ...but doesn't work either...is there solution for this cwm on gb..btw i allready try flash other firmware from other region...then install cwm again ...and don't work either on wifi...desperate need my tab for work...any solution i should try...help please..:crying::crying:

Just to remind.. When you want to install mod rom.. Just make sure the base of cwm region is the same as yours.. (if cwm like madteam. Is base on kpi. Ireland region, so you better install your stock rom with the same region as madteam does). Btw i'm using cwm madteam and stock rom from the same region(kpi). And works find.

hi , actually I update my note gt-n7000 to gellybean but its worse update I ever had....i want to degrade me phone to gingerbread which I had previously used. but I had didn't find any single update available for my phone ON INTERNET which had same baseband i.e N7000DDLR1 , Build number i.e IMM76D.DDLRB, Android version 4.0.4 and kernel 3.0.15-1163394 [email protected] dell171 #3 SMP PREEMPT Mon Nov 5 17:29:14 KST 2012.......AND I had tried so many update from Sammobile.com by using Odin 3.0.4 but every time its useless for me.... can u help me to go to previous update..please help me...thank you.

What do you mean by "useless" ?
If flashes do not really take place using Odin 3.0.4, have you tried using Odin 3 v1.85 or v1.87 ?

ya i use every old and new version of odin but the problem is that i didint find the exact update which is correct band base,kernal and built number. if i try to install other phone band base,kernal and built number, it stuck on SAMSUNG LOGO after update by using odin. so is there any solution of this problem or any link through which i can download the exact update.i find all other phone update not mine any where.

one more issue .......it didn't find network too....no call from my phone at alll....its very bad ....please please help me ...XDA DEVELPOERS

First check if you have a valid imei. If yes root the phone using Philz kernel and use mobile odin to flash a modem.img. You can get the modem file from the rom you download. Open it using 7z and you will see modem file. Transfer to phone storage and use mobile odin. Phone will reboot and you should have baseband

Officially our Ace only supports froyo and gingerbread.
The best way to upgrade you phone from froyo to gingerbread is to use "Kries". Download it from the oifficial samsung site and install it on your pc. After that Kies will install some phone drivers and you can connect your phone via USB to Kies and it will ask you to update your firmware to gingerbread. Click yes and Kies does the rest for you.
If you want to go one step further and want ICS & JB on your phone you have to root it and install CWM. There are several threads here where it's explained.

i have tried updating with kies. it did detect my phone and update it. but after the update was finished the kies automaticaly closed and nothing happens to my phone , still froyo ,, can u help me about this? thanks in advance ^_^
and also is superoneclick effective on rooting my phone with out any problem?

Finally . i have upgraded my phone from froyo to ginger bread. idi use kiea with a minimum of tweaks and alot of patience and nervous ^_^. thanx guys any ways u help me. on somthing ^_^

whats next after upgrading my phone? hihi i dontknow what to do . like chaing my themes etc.

if you are on stock gb then i think you can taste themes by using other launchers
also go to themes and apps section for more info

bro i just told you to try launchers
try go or adw launcher both are available on playstore for free and also have many themes free of them
everything is in playstore

it connects to a wifi. its a free wifi though but there no intrnet connection or cant open ay website

Free wifi? Did you tried if the wlan is working on other devices (PC)? Maybe there is the problem.
