(Help) E15a Stock 2.1 Firmware - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I was trying ROMs in my X8 and now I want to come back to the original stock 2.1 firmware, but the PC Companion says that there arent updates for my phone, so I cant flash it using companion.
I want tu use the FlashTools but I cant find the E15a firmware becouse all the links are in megaupload or are dead. I only found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1575266 but I dont stand what you have to do with that X8.sin, really I dont stand nothing in that thread, I need only the E15a tft and there says you have to build it...

Check the link in here

Did you? Try to find the Sony Update Service (not Sony Ericsson ... - it's old version and doesn't work). After install it you can install Stock software, even if it detects correct - as the restoration in case of problems.

here the link bro-

I'm sorry, couldn't paste the Url before post
Good Luck

Try to use the latest version of seus

[Q] Cant start Phone. Stucks at SE Logo

Hello,
I have a Problem with my Xperia x8. I rooted it before a while and tried to make a custom rom. I did this more times before. But this time after I intalled the custom Rom and rebototed, the phone stucks by the SE Logo. So I tried to flash it with SEUS. But this says that is already the newest Software and i can olny press the Exit Button. The Repair Button isnt there. The Same with PCC.
I also tried to flash it with the Flashtool but i cant find the 1.6 kernel anywhere. All the Links I find are dead.
I dont now what to do now.
I hope someone can help me.
Regards, FiireLove
just download the stock 2.1 firmware and flash it with flashtool. or use seus.

How i said, SEUS dont works. I will try it with a 2.1 Kernel so far I found one. Because all Links i found are deleted.

sorry about that. just get the 2.1 firmware, not the kernel unless you've unlocked your bl and flashed a custom kernel. and full wipe if you're going to flash other custom roms afterwards.

You don't need the kernel. Flash there 2.1 stock firmware with flashtool and that's it.

when i try to use the beta 6 it say "Cannot identify your device" and it ask me to input my model is I choose C660x and it make my phone ready to flash once I put it to flashmode. But no, once I put it to flashmode flashtool itself couldn't recognize my phone is in the state ready to flashing so it keep saying my phone need to put in to flashmode by press Vol.down while plug the USB.
so i downloaded an older version of flashtool , but do you think that trying an other firmware will fix this problem

Simple. Custom rom doesnt same as stock roms which is from OEM, PCC using specific program to detect phones..Happened in my previous phone using custom roms. Using flashtool to flash stock rom will solve your prob.

Thats all? Then i can receive the updates form Sony again an can i use Sony pc companion?
What do i with the kernel?
Stock firmware will flash stock kernel.
If you have to backup you can also lock bootloader.
And yes, after that you can install anything from PCC

I have a question related to this topic.
I had Doomlord`s custom kernel v21 with root and unlocked bootloader.
Im trying to revert back to stock rom and kernel via flashtool and generic nordic rom.
Flashing goes alright but after flashing when i try update my phone either OTA or trough pc companion they both failed.
pc companion says that i have modified sony and i guess it same with OTA update.
Should i do something also, because i thought flashing with stock rom should revert all but bootoader back to original.
Thanks in advance.
You cannot use OTA or Pccompanion with an unlocked bootloader,
You should flash the latest version FTF using flashtool
