Allright we all know most galaxy 2 tabs feature the "Ir blaster"
I was thinking if it can control my tv why not my xbox.
I know there are universal remotes out there that can learn the exact signals of every button press from the actual xbox remote
(cant post links. Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote on amazon its the white one)
now is there an app that can learn ir signals and use them, or is there one specific for the xbox?
any other ideas on this topic?
I am not trying to play mw3 with the tab just navigate to netflix or my music and such.
Any help appreciated. Thanks!
is there a better place to post this? thanks guys!!!

I would like to see the remote app updated to include Xbox IR blasting, while they're at it they could add PS2 as well.

Found an app that does this for the samsung galaxy. its called touchsquid. works very nice. However it is 20USD and on that note not worth it if the remote for the xbox is only 10-15 bucks. Need more apps like this one. Perhaps a xbox focused one? or xbox ps3 and wii?

TouchSquid Remote is WELL worth it if you're going to use it on TV, Xbox, bluray, etc. Much better than a Logitech Harmony.
I still want a free alternative though. An app like this can't be that hard to make!

Personally I would pay maybe $10 but for the little actual use I would get out of it, $20 is a bit high. I just don't watch enough tv or video.

ROFL.
Hilarious.
lol. Yes, please. And I want a cookie, too!
In all seriousness, I want to make sure everything works before I pay any money. I still get force closes and log in errors multiple times a day on the XDA app as it is. Sometimes it doesn't even open and just sits on the splash screen 'waiting'. I would have donated a long time ago otherwise. I know it's just $.99, but still.
I can confirm that the xda premium app is fairly stable. Haven't encountered a FC yet.

I know what you're saying... I'm more of a "buy it now and if it doesnt work screwit" kinda guy especially if we're just talking about a buck. Either way, if the app works or doesnt work I supported the android market for what that's worth.
Cheers

What we need now are Android Market gift cards like the iTunes gift cards.
Does anyone know if there are gift cards for the Amazon store?

I think the standard Amazon gift cards can be used in the market. Unfortunately, Canada doesn't get the app store yet, so I couldn't tell you.

Best I've heard is that you can manage you queue on the Xoom, but as soon as you go to play a video it will pop an error message.
Really hope to see a working version of Netflix and the HBOgo app real soon for the Xoom.
I guess ill be the guinea pig.
Edit: Tried the zip and it wouldnt install... hmm
I tried both versions. The first version claimed to have a network error right away. The second let me queue things up but got the network error when I tried to play the movie. Oh well.

I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan but it's pretty terrible. The learning curve is huge, even before you get your first set of jobs you'll need to grind. It was not worth the money on DS and I doubt it'll be worth the extreme price for the Android version either. Steer clear of this one.
I would probably get GrooveIP. I've tried the lite version and it works pretty well.
