[Q] i bricked my Samsung Galaxy ace plus.Please help. - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

:crying:i bricked my Samsung Galaxy ace plus. Please help.
Hey Guys!!!
I have bricked my Samsung Galaxy ace plus (GT7500). I was flashing this custom Atomic ROM.
First I did it successfully. The interface came where it demanded for my google account then i put in the information of my google account. The screen went blank.
Then i restarted it.but it got stuck into samsung boot logo. I even can't go through my download mode or clockwordmod.
so, was not able to use ODIN.
First ODIN Failed in flashing my ROM. then i got pissed off and switched off my mobile.
After sometime when i tried to start it. it went dead. it is even not starting. It is not even getting charged.
I know it is now bricked. Please tell me how to unbrick it.
Please help me.....

Sorry, any of us can help you in this. I guess you can still take your mobile to warranty, since it didn't passed a year yet.
Press the Thamks button if helped.

I did this several times. but didn't got any success.
How about using jig?? if i didnt get success will jig do any harm to my mobile.
or may be i should go to the samsung center and get it done by them.
Anyways thanks for the prompt reply.

if you don't know exactyl how to do use jig, I wouldn't do it, since you may loose your warranty again. I sent my bricked Galaxy Ace that didn't boot to Samsung, and they didn't notice I installed a custom rom in it, so maybe you should try.
I've found a thread like yours, maybe the solutions there will help you

Well i gave it to the samsung service center. They haven't repaired yet. but they told me that we are completely changing the motherboard which was totally damaged.
Can they find out now that i have rooted my ace plus, after changing the motherboard?? Hope they wont find it......
I am a bit worried about this.

Naa... They don't!!! Once the phone went off(bricked) no one would be able to find what happened before. But even if they enquire about it, behave as if U R a NOOB to all this. This's all what U need 2 do!!
Be cool & have patience!!
EDIT: Also, motherboard is not damaged in most(~all) cases. It can easily be cured by Riff Jtag box.

I was flashing to stock 2.2 using odin one click.
My phone will NOT
turn on
boot to recovery
or boot to download screen.
I have currently sent it to samsung to get it fixed, and it is under warranty.
But i believe they will return it without a repair because ive heard this voids the warranty.
Help? any suggestions
well I guess you just wait and see...

You should (have told?)tell them that you were upgrading to Froyo and the power went out, crashing your desktop PC. This will not void your warranty.
yeah.. i did i told them i was doing an ota update and the power went out. hopefully it works out.
you cannot brick a galaxy s phone..... you should have done some research on this forum... i just now got thru making a jig and forced my phone into download mode , ou could have easily done the same.... i also had a failed flash with odin on my captivate
I think, Samsung will repair it or will give you a replacement (refurbished)...if not than..
If it is from ATT then tell them that you were upgrading to Froyo and followed instructions on the ATT website...but some how it was dead in between....as you have warranty on it for one year
They will replace (will give u refurb phone) it..I got two replacements lol
Refurb phone are better then dead paper weight...so try your luck

you are wrong, it can be bricked. I was doing Odin and my battery went dead (a very stupid mistake done by me)..There is no hope if the phone is completely not responsive....not even Jig will work...
well, i wanted to see if samsung would fix it first, and if they do for free its something i wont have to worry about...
I am posting here as a way to ensure that in the off chance that they dont fix the phone that i have a back up plan...
plan c is to get the nexus one. lol

Galaxy Mini BRICK ROM Manager

Help!!!!
I bricked my phone with rom manager when i installed CWM over Rom manager i picked the wrong phone it was some huawei model my phone was ginger 2.3.4 galaxy mini stock rom
That's what happens when you don't know that rom manager bricks galaxy mini...

can you go into download mode
No way he can enter download mode when he flashed CWM for the wrong phone...
If you are aware you hard bricked your device, why are you calling for help? Hard bricks can only be repaired with JTAG, not something you can do at home.
time for a new phone... if it's hard bricked then just bin it and learn from you're mistake. remember research before you do anything with you're new phone.
If your phone is under warranty, go get it fixed in samsung service centre for free( Act innocent- say you set the alarm and your phone never started or rang in the morning)
If its not, say FML and use your phone as paper weight.
another victime of ROM MANAGERS ......lol
Never use ROM manager! Many people had brick with it!
Do you still have the guarantee? Go to SSC (Samsung Service Center).
Write a story and lied there. lol.
My friend do the similar thing with his Galaxy W, and got his part replaced by SSC. for free.

Wow, I guess the guy who sold me his GT-S6500 must have done something like this, because the exact same things are happening to this phone. It's true: before using strange programs or downloading any firmware without being sure it will suit your phone model, you have to read all the appropriate guides, as other users just recommended before. Or just ask for help to someone with more experience. :fingers-crossed:
Now it's almost 3 days I'm trying to solve the problem with this poor Mini 2. I'm afraid the seller could have used that ROM Manager, and if it wasn't enough, he also destroyed the battery.
Remember that if the phone shows a boot loop with the samsung writings but it still can go into Download Mode (but not into Recovery), the phone isn't bricked yet. It's called "soft brick" but it's still recoverable.
If not, you have to buy a device called JTAG (expensive option) or build you own small "Jig" device (cheap option), following some guides you can find on Google. That will "resurrect" your phone. Good luck

As you said, my phone should be soft-bricked because it can still go into download mode.
But I can't revive it from flashing any stock rom via odin.
So it seems hard-bricked.
should not use rom manager if still using stock rom. especially in the rom manager menu choose reboot into recovery. do not do this you will galaxy mini hard brick. This is my experience. but if you still can get downloads in flash mode can be through odin. but if you can not get into download mode . take it to the samsung service centre
This is my experience

bricked for ever? :(

Hi guys!
You are the only one that could help me....
A friend of mine has a G Note N7000 (white) and he wants to selll it...but....
He said that is bricked (not starting) after he tried to downgrade it from ICS to Android 2 Gingerbread....
is this gone for ever? it can be unbricked?
thank you!
please help me....i want this phone.....
Well there is alot of info about bricked notes so I advice you to do some xda searching as there are several ways to revive a bricked note. Use the search function and you'll find what you need. I would advice you to check Dr.Ketan's signature for some helpfull links. Ask your friend if he did a FULL WIPE when reverting from ICS to GB,that could be the 'source' of the brick.
So, we cause a triple murder before breakfast, start a race war before dinner - that's uh, that's a pretty good day.
my friend told me that when he tried to downgrade it, the bootloader was broken....

How to unbrick samsung galaxy Mini GTS5570

My phone, (Samsung GT S 5570) Just died a few days ago while I was installing some software. The software was Clockwork Mod. To install this, I used an application from Google Play called -Rom Manager. After installing the app, I clicked something like flash clockwork mod, and a list was brought to me, from which I was to select my phone model, but unfortunately my wasn't among the list. So, I picked the first Model type and proceeded. The clockwork Mod was installed correctly and so I went to the next attempt and that was to Partition my SD Card. Consequently, my phone went off and I thought that it would restart on itself but....! I tried to restart it on my own but the LCD didn't even turn on. What do I do? To make it worse, the phone won't even go into recovery mode. The phone was already rooted, so no warranty. I suppose the phone is Bricked. Someone please help.
My email address, [email protected]
Thanks in advance.
Your phone is bricked and it's because you were trying to install CWM for a device that was probably not even remotely close to yours. Also wrong section I would suggest posting in this section forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1311 and seeing if they might be able to help you.

NEVER install CWM via rom manager it just isn't compatible with our device and 99.99% of people brick their phones because of it. And yes, your phone is probably bricked, hard brick. What u can do now is to try a usb jig method which is available in the guide in my sig.

You're totally out of luck on this one mate, now you have a very nice paper weight if you still have a valid warranty, just bring the brick to the service center and they'll fix it for you, but never ever mention flashing, clockwork mod or anything related it happened while updating with kies, that's it and guide for making usb jig provided by tietganFTW works, I made one for myself already and tested it on mini, so there's nothing to worry about on this one

[Q] How to Unbricking Hard Bricked Samsung Galaxy Ace

Hey Guys,
I have Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830), recently while uprading the my ace with the Cyanogenmod10, i had bricked my phone, now it never goes into the download mode so that i can flash the firmware with Odin. Actually yesterday, i used Rom Manager to Install the Custom Rom, and when said yes to install the custom rom, phone shutdown, and never started again, i googled around for some way out to go into the download mode, tried all the key combination, but could not go into the download mode, i tried the Home + VolumeUp and connected the USB to PC, with this method, my phone was detected, but because it was not in the download mode (i guess), so Odin just stucked at setup connection... and does not go further. Have anyone went through this dilemma, can anyone help me out of this, my warranty period is elapsed, so was thinking to get phone back to life myself.
Please anyone help me with this, i love the phone... I know that was my mistake to use Rom Manager to Install the Rom.

and
DONT USE ROM MANAGER

check the back of your phone.when you remove your battery you will see 3 gold squares..when you take it to the service center and it becomes 9 silver small squares it means that they didnt change the motherboard they just solder it to connect wires to the motherboard they used jtag...:cyclops:

Don't know where, but its more expensive than a brand new ace (and lots of low-mid range smartphones)
I bricked mine 1 week after getting it. I took it in and said it shut off and I can't turn it back on. They made sure it wasn't the battery, then replaced it under warranty. So if you still have a warranty, it's worth a try. The guys at the store won't know you've been screwing around with it.
To use Rom Manager you need a CM-compatible rom installed. It says that right on Rom Manager's download page. DO NOT USE WITH STOCK ROMS EVER!!!
