I was wondering if Ubuntu can run on the Incredible S. From Ubuntu website it says that it is supposed to run on dual cores only. I am sure that Ubuntu can run on a ARM 1ghz cpu. Also is there a dock that connects the incredible s to a screen and desktop? I did some search but couldn't find anything. Thanks!
We didnt have a Video out... idk really if it works, but if it does, it would be laggy...

I once found a way to install it on android. It was a kind of virtual ubuntu running over android. It worked nice but the 4Giga system image was too big for my poor 16G sd so I uninstalled it. It is also not optimised for touchscreen so a little difficult to use.
I don't remember the name but if you're interested I can look for it when I'm on my computer in about 2-3 hours.

1) play accelerometer 3d games
2) play video including YouTube
3) flash 10.1 video on browser
4) wifi capable if tethered off my mytouch 4g.
I know it would need root and custom rom.
Is it easy as rooting a mt4g. Thanks in advance

1) Yes
2,3) With Froyo, yes you can play flash video (AKA, youtube).
4) I tether my nook to my Incredible all the time, no problems.
Your best bet is to try out one of the current Froyo builds on an SD cards, so you don't have to mess with changing the stock OS at all..
Thanks...hooked on mipeliculagratis dot com. Requires flash 10.1 and free movies on demand. Might pick up NC on payday.
Thanks again.... have u played need for speed shift on it?

Heads up on the games...the accelerometer works, but it's less sensitive than most phones, and that can affect gameplay. I've noticed some games can be trickier due to it's responsiveness. But on the whole, yes, it works fine for motion-based gaming.
i have asphalt 5 on my nook, it runs great, and so do the accelerometer controls. the best example i can think of is HAWX, which is also a great motion controlled game that runs with no problems on my nook
I am having trouble getting psx4droid working, I have the right settings, bios, and the.bin file is valid, but ia attempt to load it and it restarts back to the file tree....
So I downloaded, FPse, and to my surprise, it works! So I guess my question is, which one is better? Is psx4d worth trying to fix?
Thanks for any advice!

if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

How did you get fpse to work without lag?
Cm7+overclock+(no game sound )= no lag...

Where do you get your roms from?
Not here cause piracy is bad.
I have an assload of PlayStation games, I just want to know where he got them from. Roms are legal if you actually own the game, which I do.
If you have them you can rip them using programmes like ISO buster.
You'll get an iso file and that's the rom you need.

Thank you
FPse seems better to me. I tried PSX4Droid and it was much slower than FPse. FPse rocks!!
Yeah, psx4droid used to be terrible...but: now its available for free on the developers website
The version isn't the same as on the market: its version 3.
Surprisingly it performs about as good as fpse and graphics are better (even with anti aliasing off). But: You only can enable auto frameskip and not manually choose the amount of skipped frames. Furthermore the menu is a bit buggy.
But since it's free why not give it a try?

Is there anyway to get chronium os working on our tab? There is another newer 7 inch tablet running it. Freescale make a tab that runs linix android or chronium. There are a few others.
Is there anyone working on this?

To be honest, I think that the Chrome OS will work much better on Tablets than on Netbooks. I would like to try one too if ever.

I haven't seen anything to answer what I'm about to ask, how can I install hulu on T-Mobile ds7? I don't really know how to do the whole build.prop stuff either I am rooted and unlocked if that makes sense or helps. Is there a apk that has the flash built-in?

The problem is not Flash, the problem is Hulu blocking it.
Try this

Doesn't work in honeycomb 3.2.
I managed to get hold of the .APK file and installed it on my phone the game then downloaded 400mb of additional content and now when i try to play the game it just doesnt start it gets stuck on the first loading screen and force closes a while later.
anyone had better luck with the game on an incredible s??
If you have a cracked apk... Makes sure it is for our resolution and processor... Some games are built specifically for HTC, Sony, Sammy and tegra... They have separate versions for screen resolutions too

Download the correct SD files for the Incredible S (800x480) put them in the apps folder in your SD card and then try to run it. works for me, but a bit laggy here and there on the Inc S
It was never released for our phone... So your pirate Bay version will run like cap even if you do get the proper format.

Try overclocking to 1.2 or 1.3 with performance gov and then run gta reduces lag

Its likely that the game doesn't support our Snapdragon processor, and for whatever reason they don't want to release it for us.
Xperia play has the same processor and gpu and its supported

I play GTA 3 with some lag on my Incredible S. Just start the game and download the 400mb through the prompt you get. After that everything runs. I run Virtious Affinity 1.48 at 1.2 ghz
It works fine for me with almost no lag
