Gx2 and optimus 2x

What is really different between this two?
can optimus 2x use the gx2 rom? Thinking to get one. Any advise?

Different partition layout, different baseband.

what do you mean with amazing, iam using slicks n.31 rom and this rom is very very fast and stable enough for me, so its a great and amazing rom in my opinion

So is both G2X and O2X having issue with reboot and such?!

What I mean is not much developer for this phone. Maybe divided into o2x And gx2.

Nah just kidding. Fr19 or G1 from Madaco or CM7. CM7 got no FM-radio and a2dp (thats bluetooth stereo). Or MIUI ifs you're into that stuff.

Hahahaha definately hell. The only thing I can suggest is try them out, because what one person like another doesn't so the only way you will work out which is best is to try them, personally I've tried just about them all. I really like how MIUI looks and feels to use but the release that is out is just too buggy and now I'm on Blazing Dragon 2.0 which seems to be looking ok.
Now look here for the best guides on how to do just about anything with the O2X ...

For me the Slick Gingerbread rom 4.0 is working great. It's really stable, battery life is excellent. Also it looks very cool and is really usefull for daily life.
Came from WGSpoelstra's GB edition, but that rom wasn't working for me. Very unstable, random reboots, BSOD's, stuttering... Maybe that's just for me, cuz I read some other ppl did not have any trouble with that rom.

But to answer your question:
Previous editions of WGSpoelstra's GB edition were more stable for me, but I've got the same problems as TakNek now. Slick2X-G is working well here on the other hand, stable and fast.
Haven't tried the latest MoDaCo GR1 Gingerbread leak yet, but Paul usually makes quality work out of the leaks (even though it's only a alpha release)!

Hi!erm personally if u want speed and the vanilla look of the android interface,best is modaco vanilla oc/uv edition.If u want the mainstream is most probably the modaco fr19 based roms and cyanogen,or u can us the stock rom with performance pac.MIUI is for a totally new android feel and interface,its just released,its pretty ok at this point but nt that all stable.However,speed with gingerbread,wait for paul's gr1 and the coming gr roms.Even though gr1 isnt stable nw,its really fast in the real world experience.

Hello people,
I personally find it super that there are so many and so good custom-Roms and other useful things for the p990. However, I find this all very confusing and sometimes you have to spend hours to find the software you looking for. Many custom ROMs uploaded to OCH,but OCH are often very slowly for free users. So i have make a archive on my premium Dropbox account. Here i collect Roms, tools, and other p990 stuff.
If anyone has anything against that i upload his rom there please sent me a pm; D

ICS STOCK BASED ROMS: TOPO,TONYp,STEFAN
ICS KERNELS FOR STOCK:TOPO sp2, HARSH
TOOLS: BENEE ICS
and a few more.I will suggest a few if you want !!
maybe you can work on this too....but, you have done a great job for sure...

in the credits.txt you have mentioned that credits go to the users....it should be mentioned as the developers who made the custom ROMs....users are you and me who just use it

Tanks for the links i download now and. upload it today.
@Rayman in box i can upload only 200 mb per rom. For a big rom over 200 mb not so good.

I tried both 2.0 and 2.0R and I found 2.0 much much better than 2.0R. Used 2.0 for months, 2.0R for a few weeks and then returned to 2.0. Can't remember exactly what Stefan did with 2.0R, but personally I prefer the 2.0 without a doubt.

Do you even know what you are talking about? You have the 2.0R version. The 2.0 is better and it isn't there, so no, there are not all the goodbye roms.

IMHO, that was uncalled for... Horatio2 is doing a good thing trying to consolidate everything, which would make it much more convenient for most of the people. So, he missed something. Big deal... There are better ways to point it out.

Sorry to intrude in this topic with a question instead of colaboration, but I'm totally new to customization world for mobiles... Obviusly I got a LG Optimus 2x and currently is using DJANGO MANOUCHE 1.7.1 rom, but I have read that a new kernel (mine is stock) will improve the performance, so I need a tip for a correct kernel ti use with this rom, please?

You can take a gueste or spica kernel. Botch are very good

I was thinking about a new ICS based rom for your beloved P970 my OptiX rom
Ofcorse i thought about the modifications too (Center Clock / Camera)
Befor i can do somethink i have some questions:
Which version can i take? V30b or V30c?
Which kernel are atm a good kernel for ICS?
Who wants to be a "beta" tester?

i would like to test anything new but i dont know what is logcat or things like these but i can tell you about problems,FC's , lag , battery drain and thigs like these

I like a rom with full appearance AOSP(lockscreen, status bar, Settings, wallpapers) all the other Roms(based on stock) look very LG.
by other hand, i think CM 10 is better than V30b,c. Only left to do a rom that merge CM10 + mackay kernel 3.2 For CM10(Overclock ) + LG Cam for CM10 + Tweaks + services.jar patched For Supercharger v6 + turbo boost + Halo + Pie. if you do that i think would be one of the best rom for p970
and CM10.2(velox and oddisey) looks very promissing, almost stable.

V30B and V30C have no differences other than carrier bloatware,Stock kernel is already great or you can update it to kernel 3.0.99 for better performance.Sorry,I want a stable ROM for now,soo no testing.

I'd go to be a beta tester. First thing's first, the battery life is a must. I used Zeus 6.4 and IZS 2.. Both have good battery life when you apply the right tweaks. Goodluck and thanks in advance! ^_^

At the moment i have deodexed the rom and add busybox, root and some AOSP apps.
Now i have to writte the updater-script completely new (that could be a bit heavy), after that i will made my mods for the optimus back, too.

iam using IZS V2 and actually it has a very good kernel its 3.0.8 diana3[v0.6] its very good for battery life and it does very well for performance

i been to macklay rom i think and jellybeer and nightly but idk how to choose!!
i want a rom with good speed and less batery drain....

Anything after Gingerbread (2.3.4) is going to be buggy. My advice is Marvel 9 or Zeus 6.4; both are solid and stable.
The only Jelly Bean ROM I'd consider is Mackay; it's the only one with any considerable development left.

I think the best is Zeus 6.4 cuz is stable, slim and fast. IZS is good too slim and fast. U must test ROM's and u check one. Sorry for my ENG.
