Are there any ROMS for Samsung Galaxy ACE S5830 that run 2.3.7 stock. As in not cynanogenmod, I'm looking to work from a base 2.3.7 and incorporate some patches like batteryextender and stuff to make a nice battery length stock rom.
Any help?
Thanks
-And yes I searched-

Nope, there are no stock 2.3.7 ROMs
However, there were a couple of AOSP 2.3.7 ROMs running pure Gingerbread
You can look into those
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1807076
Officialy there is no 2.3.7
2.3.7 is only for CM.
Its only a number that can be easily editted in build.prop so in About phone it appears 2.3.7
Or even 6.0 any number

It is possible since godell already made one for 2.3.6. But I think developers for our mini are concentrating on higher versions of GB and with CM7 as well. so it would be difficult to request this on 2.3.4.

slim ics 4.2 with seapahore kernel......
stable,lag free with excellent battery.....
Another thread with the same question! ICS333 in my experience is the best, though slim is one of the few I haven't tried!

I'd also root for Slim, faster than CM9 in my experience and never disappointed me. No need to flash Semaphore though IMO, the stock kernel also is working great.
I dont own the S1 anymore, but before i sold it, i have used "DarkyROM". This was the best ROM i've ever used. Fast, stable and good.
I i would the S1 again, i would install DarkyROM again.
RemICS v1.3
I use it daily and it's wonderful...
I would say cm9 with devil kernel.
I used TeamICSSGS' rom. Was very happy with it but today swapped it for Jelly bean.
for crying out loud, there's about 5 threads like this now .....why don't you people just read? ! :banghead::banghead::banghead:
Well said slappy....
In addition to it, dont ask which one is good as the one good for someone wont fit in your case so best answer it just test roms until you find the one for you ;-)

I want to flash CM 9 nightly build. Which version should i choose? Which is a stable build for daily use?
Also if i want to flash Slim ICS is it mandatory to flash CM9 first?
current ROM - Value pack 2.3.6
Kernel - CF root kernel.
Best and best looking is RemICS!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687727

Get CM9 RC2 which has been released today. Its stable version.
You can directly install Slim ICS. There is no need to install CM9 before installing Slim ICS.

Darky rom ONLY does official Samsung ROMs... since ICS was never officially released for the i9000 , there is no Darky ICS rom for the galaxy S...
Edit: OK so it seems after Darky Rom split and the others formed TeamAlliance, Darky has decided to make AOSP ROMs as well while Alliance doesn't...
Therefore cdwriter was right... there is a Darky ICS...

Best ICS ROM?
I have tried almost ALL the ICS Roms out there. And i can confidently say that i have found AOKP to be the baddest of 'em all. Not even CM9 mind you.
Make sure you use the NEW DataFix script by Windego (the 20120524) and NOT the older one (20120329).
Use the ROM with Devil Kernel (0.79 version) Choose Voodoo Colors or CMC, your choice. Before flashing this kernel, make sure you remove the already included init.d datafix script. (Open the package in WinRAR, navigate to system > etc > init.d > remove file named "S30dafafix)

You can try SLIM ICS by karvind. The ROM is pretty fast, smooth and stable. I was using it till Build 4.1 and I switched to JB
Hi, currently i'm running ace on 2.3.6 version unrooted. I would like to add cyanogen mod to the device, which mod should version of cyanogen mod should I install ?
1. This should be in Q & A.
2. Impossible to tell. Do you want gingerbread as a base? Use CM7.
Want the newest android versions as a base. CM9 or CM10.

you are comming form stock rom... if you directly jump to cm9 or cm10 things could be difficult for you as both these are quite buggy... go for cm7.. these are fast , stable as well as a totally new experience for stock users..
you can try miracle and apocalyase... both are based on cm7 and are super fast and bugs free...
press thanks if i helped !!!
Hi Guys! I am new here. My Galaxy Mini's android version is gingerbread 2.3.6 and also rooted it a week ago.
is there any kernel for S5570JVKT1
Kernel Version : [email protected]#1
Baseband version : S5570XWKT2
Build Number : GINGERBREAD.JVKT1
I cannot find a custom kernel version to overclock. plz help me to find it..
Best way is to install a custom rom....custom kernel on stock rom may cause issues such as bootlooping...if you are not keen on straying too far from syock rom yoi can try the following custom roms: Emanon v7 and Chocobread v3.2 final...they look and work like stock roms but have all features of custom roms and more...Emanon is one of the best and most stable roms on galaxy mini...
Search in xda for their threads...

every custom rom kernel has OC support, so find a gud custom rom of ur choice and flash via CWM recovery.

Sorry for my bad english.

You can use No-frills cpu control from play store.
but I suggest you to just intstall a custom ROM based on your need.
search the forum for a custom ROM...there are plenty here.

Which firmware is better for smoth gaming,Android 2.3.3 or 2.3.6?Is battery always drain on 2.3.3?
Uhm. Usually I would point these kinds of questions to my thread in my signature but this is between different GB versions...
2.3.6 was pretty stable as far as I remember for games and the like. Never had 2.3.3 so I'm not entirely sure sorry.

if you have a choice between 2.3.3 and 2.3.6 why would you not go for the higher and updated version? if you can find a 2.3.7 rom that would be even better cyanogenmod 7.2 uses 2.3.7
You can try this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1388342
Best GB ROM
Until 2 weeks ago I also used 2.3.6 on my Galaxy S plus. A year ago, 2.3.3.
2.3.6 was faster, but the more I used it the more curious was the behavior.
Sometimes it was not possible to quickly make a call. When I pressed the green telephone receiver icon, nothing happened. Only after about 30 seconds, the dial image was displayed and I could make calls.
I think it was due to modern apps, with simply overstrained the gingerbread system....
Currently I use the ADC team CyanogenMod 11.0 release and am very happy with it.
