I've been looking for the Gummy Rom for my droid 4 everywhere! its all dead link! does anyone who flashed it might still have the file somewhere and can upload it for me??
i had the gummy ROM when i had my galaxy nexus, and would love to use it on my droid 4!!
or if anyone can recommend me a stable ROM that is also fully customizable??
i was on olegfusion's rom but find my phone lags quite a bit and im only getting 3g in a 4g area
and im now using speed demon's Rom but a lot of my apps were force closing for some reason.
thanks in advance X100:highfive:

My ROM is GSM oriented and I disabled 4g. If you want to use CDMA with 4g, you should return back build.prop file from eclipse (cdma edition) rom, as example.

The only determining factor on whether I stick with OEM ROM or flash monster/steeldroid ROM is this: do these custom ROMs have a single bug?
So, users of monster and steeldroid ROMs: are there any bugs?
There are absolutely bugs in both ROMs but there are bugs in OEM too. Both SD and Monster run so much faster than stock. You can still do everything youre used to on the roms. CM7 had the phone broke at one point but even thats fixed now.
Thanks.
I've got one more question if anyone can answer it. Do either of these ROMs I mentioned work on the Verizon Wireless Droid 3 or the GSM Droid 3?
I own the Verizon Wireless one (gotta make sure I don't flash an incompatible ROM by accident).
What, DarkDroid not good enough for you? :'(
Anyways, all roms out right now have been made for the Verizon XT862.

Being someone who doesn't enjoy flashing ROMs, I find it hard to tell which ROM does what but I thought I heard that Steel Droid and Monster were the oldest ones which made me assume they are more consistently stable.

Right now they're all equally consistent and reliable. Mine just hasn't been out as long, so less people are running it, but hopefully that'll change soon.

Ever since I flashed SteelDroid 3.0, the market app won't let me make purchases. I tried flashing Market 3.2, 3.0.26, and 3.1.something, and I tried the Root Explorer replace Vending and uninstall update method and nothing seems to work.
Not sure if its the ROM or something else, but very frustrating.
I'm having the same market problem with Monster, I brought it up in the Roms thread, hopefully it will be fixed in the next update

i think you just need to wipe data/cache to get your market to work.
Yes wiping data and cache will fix the market purchases

Flashing with bootstrap Droid 3
I went in to the recovery mode of bootstrap and then went to safe mode to install zip from sd card and i got it to install. Although when I reboot in safe mode nothing starts and when i boot in regular mode it seems exactly the same? I was trying to get the monster rom on 1.2 need help am i missing a step>? I followed the instruction and i did not notice that i had done anything different.........
No issues with darkdroid or steeldroid 3 from what i've found with my own slight notification mods for both, not had any market buying issues with either, flush the cash of the app or reinstall the market, failing that reinstall your roms from scratch.

Hey guys!
So I'm still rocking with my Project Elite ROM right now, but I'm kinda getting bored with it. I know the Pre-Pre-Alpha for the ICS is out, but there are so many updates and such, which just makes me want to wait for the beta stage.
I've tried out the MIUI rom, but wasn't diggin' the "iPhone" look. And most of the lockscreens on it are in Chinese, which, no offense, turns me off, since I can't understand it.
Can you guys help me out with which ROM to get? And can you also leave me some reasons why it's a good ROM to get?
Thanks
~Jin
If people are wondering, I'm flashing ChevyNo1 SS 5.6
Let you guys know if it's good or not
This feels funny, commenting on my own thread. But for those still reading, Chevy's ROM felt sluggish on my droid, and I didn't like the transitions and such.
Any other ROMs suggested guys?

Try CM7 it has a 800 mhz kernel:
http://www.cyanogenmod.com/devices/motorola-droid <--- The site is down right now.
Or try Steel Droid.. based of CM7 with some cool improvements and changes and has a 1 ghz kernel:
http://dev-host.org/x4r442cfboec/SD_9.0.0.zip
I'm trying liquid at the moment. But I have a problem with the folders. When I open them, they look funny over other widgets.
I'll try the others?
GPA18/Chevys1. 2lv
Tried em all. Always come back to the GPA series.
I am using gpa 17 with his kernel at 1.1 and it runs smooth

WAHOOOO!!!
Thx a bunch for the support!
Greetings!
I really want ICS on my Droid and wondering which one I should put on it? Thanks in advance.
If you aren't using it as your daily driver i would suggest using kfazz's JellyBean rom. It has some stuff that still needs to be worked out but it is a good build that i have had fun experimenting with. (And showing off to all my friends.) If you read his thread you will see that all the major stuff is working with only a few minor glitches here or there. They have even confirmed that 3G data and calls work!
Just my 2 cents.

It is my daily phone so I would like a mature ICS ROM. What is the most stable ICS ROM available?

I think there's only one ICS ROM for (CDMA) Droid and it is kfazz's experimental ICS one. I don't know about the one(s) for GSM Milestone though.
My old droid 1 could barely manage gingerbread. Good luck with ice cream sandwich.
-CM7 on DInc2
I use my Droid as a daily phone. Kfazz ics builds are pretty good. As long as you don't have too many apps its fine. JB builds are okay too.
I use a mix of those Android backups.
In addition I use liquid smooth gingerbread which seems better than cm6 and cm7 on my phone. I am able to multitask several apps. Example...I can use navigation and Facebook or other apps. It is also fast.

Hey everyone, I'm picking up a Bionic tomorrow and would just like you guys to double check if I have everything in the right order.
In order to root I need to use this right: http://droidbionicroot.com/droid-bionic-root/how-to-root-ics-on-droid-bionic-and-motorola-android/
Then install safestrap: http://droidbionicroot.com/droid-bi...festrap-3-0-on-droid-bionicdroid-razrdroid-4/
I am interested in both Icarus HD roms and the Wizzed Bean rom, just curious out of the three which do you guys get the best battery life on? (From personal experience, not asking which is the best.)
Also what is the difference in the Icarus roms?
Thanks in advance everyone!!

Safestrap is now on version 3.11 if you look in the development section you will find the link. I would use that instead of the link you're using. I use the Icarus HD, which gets pretty good battery life and because it is a blur based rom is fully functional. Most of Jb roms have bluetooth and camera issues. Wizard bean is a samsung galaxy based JB rom. If I didn't need full functionality it would be my DD.
The difference between the stripped and the regular is some theme differences and the stripped has had even more of the blur removed and replaced with AOSP apps . This makes it lighter and takes up less memory. I prefer the regular version. You might find the 4g and battery icons a bit weird though.

While TouchWiz is driving me absolutely insane, I want the options of TDD-LTE and SMR LTE when it comes to my area. I haven't heard of any devs working on ROMs for the device. Maybe reach out to the maintainer to see if they will build for the device to support Triband.
I have Spark, and eCSFB has never worked right once when running a non-TouchWiz ROM on the L720T.
Makes my phone a nice data modem, but a paperweight when it comes time to make a phone call or send a SMS.
Losing Wi-fi calling / texting also sucks.
The triband functionality is built into the modem.. not the rom.. I was worried of the same thing. Tested and proven to get spark speeds on AOSP.
Does this work on nc6?
I have been noticing that people have been leaving out details that are important.
Which recovery and rom do i need for nc6 4.4.2.... You know, the wifi calling update?
Sent from my SPH-L720T using XDA Free mobile app
I have had spark speeds on several AOSP roms. To my knowledge and as far as all my testing has proved.. the spark and or triband functionality of our phone WORKS on ANYTHING. From TW roms to CM and AOSP. All have worked time and time again.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Xparent Green Tapatalk 2
Its my general understanding that all tri-band does is give you 2 extra frequencies... That being said... I have no problems running CM11 on L720T I can get sms messages and make phone calls I do not have any issues with anything else wifi or bluetooth other then crashing when using IR functions. My data is nice and fast....
I would like to start developing a rom for L720T to take advantage of spark tri-band its just hard at the moment with the limited user base... More people seem to develop more for the variants of S4 but not the T sniff sniff.....
If there are other developers with this phone that wants to put the brain power together I am down to make it happen...

How are you able to test if tri-band is working while using a ROM?

The data connection is established at the modem level, standard Android APIs allow the ROM and Kernel to communicate with the Modem for all data transfers. As long as the modem can communicate with a cell site that supports B26 or B41 LTE or B10 CDMA 1xA, the ROM doesn't care. It just uses the transport.

Is there a way 2 make the sprint s4 work on a different provider.

As far as I've seen, anything that will work on the 720 will also work on the 720T.
Here's where you want to look for custom ROMs: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-sprint/development

Hmm, sorry if I'm late, but if you're looking for a blazing fast rom for the l720 (also for l720t) go for the ported Google Play Edition rom on XDA. I believe it has optimizations for the S4 as well.
