We find the interesting Windows Mobile Apps and Games, then we test and score them so our readers can make an informed choice before purchasing or downloading these apps. If you are after Windows Mobile Freeware then you might want to check our sister site : 1800PocketPc.com
How to Interpret our Rating System :
We rate the Windows Mobile on various factors like
User Interface : is it finger friendly, does it look nice, etc
Features : what does the app do, has it got any feature that makes it stand apart from other similar apps
Ease of Use : is the app intuitive, has it got good documentation on how to use, etc
Re-use Value : Once you install it will you go back to this app or just forget about it and why
For games we also consider
Graphics : has the game for good graphics ?
Sound : is the music and sound effect appealing or annoying ?
We rate all of the above mentioned criteria from 1-5 , one being the least appealing and five being the very best. Then we give the app an over all score.

It looks good and has useful info. I will take a longer visit later but I liked it. Thanks.

Just had a quick look...
maybe you should categorize the games by supported screen resolution, cause there are games which are not supported by WVGA resolution, and it would be rreally nice If you could open the games section and view only the games which work on your devices screen!!!

@ Kristaps-K9-Lv : with the level of fragmentation on WM it will be hard, but we will try and include the supported resolutions ( provided we can get the info from the developer, coz we currently dont have the resources to test it on all available resolutions. May be this will change in the future )
@ psolunke: thanks . At the moment we are trying to focus on games and apps that are out of beta and ready for widespread use. If we get more reviewers down the line we might be able to include those

I'm currently writing a quick tip calculator for WP7, i know there are billions of them but there arent many free apps on wp7 yet with everyone trying to make some money and i wanted to release something quick, easy and free just to check out how much hassle the approval process is and see how long it takes MS to get something out once submitted
I wanted to keep it in styling with WP7 as much as possible, let me know what you think

**UPDATE**
Evening guys, finally getting off my lazy ass and submitting this ( year 5 months later and yes I'm aware no one cares about tip calculators ) but I just wanted to give it out here first see if anyone wants to give it a go and make any suggestions and whats broken or what would be better. I designed it because tip apps are everywhere but they always look like ass. Whilst they are always going to be rubbish , you might aswell have one which fits the WP7 metro theme... and the name tip metro, I'd like it changes, so suggestions please !

This is a great design. A very unique take on the function. Great work!

Thanks for the kind words.
The image was just found on google when searching for windows 7 phone. its just the stock one also use in the emulator. Then added my app front end image and then skewed at an angle.

Looks really nice and refreshing from some of the apps that don't look like they belong in the metro UI. Good Job!

Sorry for the delayed response.
I intend to have this fully released on the marketplace ( for free ) soon.
If it takes too long to go through approval ill host the .xap and distribute it here for you and anyone else who wants it

Thanks for your comment, but gaming isn't just about 3D. This game was made to be simple. Hence the name SIMPLE shooter.
There are other more highly graphical games on the wp7.
I am sure wp7 won't miss you.

Someone worked hard and spent a lot of time to create a game and is sharing it for free, and all you do is insult him and his phone? What have you done for the community? I would love to see you try to create a better game.
To magohlor, looks like a great game. Keep up the good work. I think the game could be much more addicting if you added something like power ups. Also, you could add lives so you could get hit multiple times and increase the difficulty.

Thank you, Magholor. Regardless what everyone says, there's no need to include all the bells and whistles games are having.
I know the perfect place to play this game, oh and it won't make look like a weirdo trying to steer on the plain air at the train lol :-\

my honest initial impression is it runs almost as if its a native app
while some may not like the change to use universal audio versus in app audio, I thought it was a nice touch
listening to some music under my lock screen was also a great addition
overall I'm impressed

congratulations on the release. With Metrotube you guys haven't only raised the bar for all 3rd party developments out there, but official apps as well. You can really be proud of yourselves. If I hadn't purchased LazyTube/Metrotube months ago, I would definitely do so now.

Second, do you use the mp4's for video playback or do you use flv?
Also would it be possible to retrieve the results of the desktop youtube? Since Im getting the results of the mobile youtube, which misses a lot of videos.

You know, I had been avoiding this app as just another Youtube app that did no better than visiting the site, itself. I finally tried it out of boredom and I have to say that I'm highly impressed. It's intuitive, functional, and quick. Damned good job. I'm glad I gave it a chance.

Same here, i can't view/play almost any of the VEVO videos.

Best youtube app so far....supertube have to catch up...
And yea i cant view or play VEVO videos =(

When watching a video in full screen and enlarging it, the video is not centered but shifted to the right or to the bottom (depending on the aspect ratio of the video)
There should be an option to resume playback
Could you add an option to disable the flipping of the application tile?
Oh yes, and the possibility to download videos would be great!

Well, no input so far. On our facebook page (www.facebook.com/InosSoftware) the votes are about 70% in favour of Warning/Alarm Zones and about 30% in favour of GPS Speedometer. I quite agree with you. I am presently testing the warning/alarm zones in the paid version. I will be releasing an update in a couple of days. The free version will be updated to contain at least calibration.

Hi again Brian. Yes, that's part of the paid functionality. At the moment, in the preferences menu, only things available are the warning and alarm levels. I thought disabling the buttons/check boxes would be enough but obviously not
Will work on making it clearer. Thanks again .

As was pointed out by Brian that in the free version, in the preferences menu, the buttons/actions that are disabled (because enabled only in paid version) appear not to work and feel broken! Fixed in next minor update. Need more feedback like this please.

It has come to my attention that text on Inclinometer (both versions) is broken on Android 4.2 +. Seems Google have changed something in Canvas drawing that breaks it. I am presently working on a fix. In its current implementation, the 'fix' breaks all versions < 4.2! I have possible solutions, and a fix will be out soon. Sorry for inconvenience everyone!

New version up!. Big UI overhaul. Biggest change for those using Android 3.0+. Now using Holo theme and associated furniture.
Big performance boost as well. Some bugfixes. Fixed wrong icon for paid application for xhdpi res devices. Sorry about that! Also fixed the title for the "Rate" dialogue.
Lots of code refctoring to get ready for the next big feature for which permission already added.
