[Q] why does my galaxy s isnt detected by pc?

before this problem happen, my pc give a notification : usb not recognised. then i tried to fix this problem by removing the usb driver and install it again. after the new driver was installed, my phone cant be detected.when i plugged in the usb to pc, it only charge the phone. the notification of connecting to pc at my galaxy s doesnt show up. ive tried on other pc also. still nothing.
how can i make my galxy s connect back to pc again?
odin did not recognize my phone. when plug to pc, no device connect sound. nothing. the only thing it does is charging my phone.

Connect USB to mainboard usb port .
Install latest Kies .
Reboot phone .
Connect phone with Debugging off .
Connect phone in USB mass storage mode and wait for windows to find drivers and install them .

I have exactly the same problem. I've tried all the above mentioned suggestions nothing worked for me

Had the same issue, try usb debugging on and then connect to pc or mac

Tried that as well and still not recognized. I'm beginning to this the problem is from the phone itself, cause i've tried it on my PC and Mac and both had the same results (not recognized)
However the phone is working normally, except to this problem

Check for damaged pins in phones micro usb socket.Use fine needle to straight them up.I had the same problem and my phone now is fine.

Still cant detect. Btw, what lin ur talking bout?

I will bet you.Just look properly in usb micro socket.Took me about 15 minutes to work this out.Czeck if the pins not touching them selfs.

Mobile Not connecting To My Pc

GuyZ M NEW TO THIS FORM ND NEED UR HELP,ALL OF A SUDDEN MY MOBILE STOPED AND WHEN I REBOTED IT AND CONNECTED TO MY PC IT QAS NOT SHOWING.NO MTP NO FTP WHATEVER IT IS SAID.... NEITHER ON KIES.TRIED ON DIFFERENT SYSTEM ,REBOOTED TWICE BUT STILL NOTHING.
PLEASE HELP ME .

yes my friend it is.

are you rooted? if yes then you could try installing the rom again using mobile odin.. and see if that helps

Try this,
Boot into recovery, connect the phone & let it install the required drivers.
Boot into Download mode & again let windows install required drivers.
Boot normally & again let it install whatever things that are required to run things
& you are thru. Hope this helps.

Hello, bit of a newbie myself but I may be of help. A couple of questions- has it worked before, and if so, when? Secondly, prior to it stopping working (that is, if it did), did you install any new software on your phone or computer that may have affected the setup?

Sounds like a USB driver issue. Do you have kies installed, or the stock usb drivers installed? Mine can be a bit flakey when connecting with USB though.

Actually sounds like something that happened to me. After upgrading kies my usb drivers got updated to but my pc showed missing id whenever my note got connected. Only solution i found is to reinstall the usb drivers, disconect the pc from internet and then connect the note. After drivers are installed i can connect to the internet again. Shoud i connect the note while connected to internet gives me the missing hardware id again and makes me install drivers again. Hope this helps you.

[Q] usb unrecognized even using kies after i root my phone..help!!

hey guys .. i need help .. pc doesnt recognized my phone even using kies .. this problem appear after i root my phone .. pliss help me :crying:
im using jellybean 4.1.2 ..

Kies must be one of the crappiest sw ever, but if you try to enable usb debug it should be detected.
I don't use kies. It f***s with everything when you try to connect something.
Just use the samsung driver and let windows handle the rest, but in that case don't use usb debug for filetransfer.
If you want kies for updates....don't! Kies must have bricked more phones then any other software :silly:

I want to install smsung usb driver but it shows this error "mobile phone has being using.you need to eject device and reboot your computer.rerun smsung usb driver for mobilephones after reboot" several time I reboot my laptop..but this error keep appear..

Do you have your phone connected to computer while you install driver?
Disconnect it, install drivers, reboot.

I had the same problem.
Connect with usb debug of.then connect with usb debug on.
If that doesnt help than follow the trick of tyson

I follow what tyson say..but cnnot work ..still my pc unrecognized when I insert usb..when I use my little brother s3 mini and connect to my pc,it detect..

what android version and baseband your phone have?and which windows you are using?
on your phone go to settings>and check USB debug on..connect your phone to your pc.what does it say?

My android version 4.1.2 and my baseband i8190ndxll5..im using windows 7ultimate..I check my usb debug..then connected to my pc ..it say usb unrecognized..many time I try..but still the same..

I had the Same Problem my csc was missing on my I8190N I flashed DModv2 and I got it back now I can connect to Kies

[Q] Cant connet USB! HELP!

Hey!
Today I recieved my sgsa and tried to connect it to the computer via usb. I slide the status bar and click USB CONNETCED (MTP Connected) but... nothing happens in my gio the robot (android) appeared and I could connect my phone. I installed kies and downloaded drivers but it doesn't help. Anyone knows the solution? Please, help.

Did you turn on 'USB debugging'
before connecting your phone to PC ??

I'm thinking of just changing my rom, what do you guys think is a better rom?

if you install custom Rom , the kies will unable to detect your phone.. and in custom Rom u can also transfer file from phone to pc or pc to phone . j. when you connect ur phone just on the usb dubbing ..

Kies works only whit stock rom.

what I'm trying to say is that, when I connect my phone to my pc ( usb debug enabled, everything enabled ) it just charges my phone and I don't hear a TATA! sound

i used this thread to download the driver directly without installing keys

You should use a 3er party app to your pc'll recognaize your phone as a massive storage, it could be to a rom bug that don't mount the usb storage
