I am pretty sure you knew about light arts using your DSLR, what about the spinning led? In case you have't seen anything like it .. here are some youtube video about these LED arts.
Well I done the same concept, but as a software
Strobe Light Art is an application for Windows Phone that you can use along with your DSLR or any camera that is capable of setting the Exposure Time. The term Light Art is a form of visual art where main media of expression is light (wiki). We have seen LED used to make an artistic way of displaying light art, and sometimes used with those motorized spin board that displays some analog clock or messages. Along with those cool electronics stuff, I present to you an application that can do the same.
In Strobe Light Art, you can:
1. Create your custom message on the fly.
2. Have your own LED effects.
3. Create your own pattern (future)
4. Save and Restore your patterns (future)
Here are the sample images I taked but using only my Sony Cybershot DSC-W220 digicam
This application was already submitted in the Windows Phone marketplace and it's on the processing of certificate so I'll update you guys once this one is up.
You might want to post the images of your Strobe Light Art creativity here please

I picked up a Captivate yesterday. It is replacing a blackberry Torch and EVO 4G.
I'm liking it so far.
However, there is some pixel noise or something going on with the screen.
This normal?

I did a quick search and didn't immediately see info on this subject.
i am not sure what the picture is reffering to. have you tried the test pattern applications or solid backgrounds? With the animated bubble background it is hard to tell what is what.
Look at the email icon. There are serrations or teeth on the outside border.
Additionally, the white area has a pattern that is visible
That's just the nature of the screen -- they're better for vibrant pictures but not so good for text. LCDs, especially on the iphone 4, is better for text and hard edges. Worthy tradeoff, I'd say.
I read it's something to do with the Pentile technology behind the screen. (if it has it.)
Also, supercurio in the development forum for I9000 discovered a sharpening filter Samsung employs in the kernel. He's the guy developing the Voodoo lagfix - I believe he reduced the sharpening in his current I9000 beta, but it doesn't matter because we still have to wait.
I've got the voodoo kernel on my captivate and it's nuts....the color correction at full brightness is AMAZING, and the low setting is actually low....as in you can be in bed and turn your phone and and not get a sun burn and see white for about 5 minutes.

My profile Picture is 180x186 pixels. It looks better if you give it slight rounded corners and a border. (Only in the first preview)
Profile Pic was set as the background of an Elixir Widget and the application it linked to was my launcher (or anything that takes you to the homescreen)
The text below it ( "Name, Locked" )was made with minimalistic text.
Layout done with WidgetLocker, so there is lots of room for customization and improvement. I'm also considering doing a slider in the style of the password field in Win7.
Backgrounds are zipped.
Enjoy!

As you'll be able to see in the pic, in low lights or even a bit of light the camera has very much noise like burning fire no matter what mode I am using superior auto or manual but when I change ISO to 400 the noise tends to almost disappear but still does, so by not messing things up is this a common software issue? I had tried several camera apps all are the same is this software or hardware/lens issue? I am running on latest 2.257 firmware

Erm, could you post a few actual pictures please? The viewfinder does NOT display the quality of eventual images as it does not apply any processing. The view from the viewfinder will always be hella-noisy. (that's a term, right? Down with the kids, me )
Actual results can be as good as this:

OpenCV was continually distinguishing something, yet gave loads of false hits. additionally it is an excess of work to gather every one of the photos for what i have as a primary concern. i have attempted three routes with OpenCV:
FeatureDetection (SURF, ORB et cetera) - > was much too moderate and insufficient elements on my articles.
Format Matching - > appears to just work when the layout is precisely a section out of the scene picture
Preparing classifiers - > this worked the best as such, yet is an excess of work for my objective, and still gives excessively numerous false discoveries.
metaioSDK was working alright when i took my reference pictures (the symbol part of every catch) out of a photo like appeared above, then printed the full picture and pointed my android gadget camera at the printed picture. be that as it may, when i attempted with the genuine catches (not a photo of them) then nothing got distinguished any longer. in the metaio documentation it is said that the reference pictures need heaps of elements and shading contrasts furthermore ought not just comprise of white content. indeed, as you see my reference pictures are precisely the inverse from what they ought to be. in any case, that is exactly how the catches look

Dorch - Dual TorchIts been a while that some newer devices devices now have both Front and Back flash for capturing photos so there but be an app for toggling both of them as torch.
Background:
I recently bought Moto Z Play that had both front and back flashlight but i couldn't find an App that can toggles both of them at same time in store (or maybe I am bad at searching), so I developed one.
Its just a clean simple app that serves the purpose of flashlight toggling and nothing else.

This device has only a rear flash.
Yeah, useless for our device, thanks anyway.
I would like a notification flash

I actually just flashed a zip in TWRP that enabled the notification LED by the speaker grill. Its pretty nifty to have a notify light again to blink when I have something to see. Really, I just wanted it to for charging purposes (I have some cables that are starting to go and I want to know if my phone stops charging without touching it, since that sometimes knocks it back into place temporarily), but the notify blinker is a happy side effect.
Got it from mods section on this page:
