Car Navigator GPS35K / iconX G300 ROM needed - Off-topic

Dear fellow xda users,
a family member of mine was giving me a Car Navigator GPS35K / iconX G300 PNA to fix. The device is nearly bricked, only the boot logo is on the screen when I turn it on.
Technical specs: I'm not allowed to post it (outside link), please use google.
So I'd need an original ROM (with WinCE 5.0 Core) to flash back to the device. I was able to flash a different ROM (MyGuide 3100Go) to the device, but of course it doesn't even boot up. I just wanted to try if the device even allows me to flash a ROM onto it.
So if anyone has this kind of device, would you be please so kind to make a dump of your ROM and upload it to me? The OEM who built the device went bankrupt, I can't ask them to help. There's no ROM for this device on the internet after 2 days of intensive search. I couldn't find any related topic here either.
Thanks in advance

This is not very off-topic.

I was trying to find a better subforum, but I couldn't. I was thinking about posting this thread to "Hardware Hacking", but since I'm new here, I'm not allowed to open a new thread there.

Getting my tab this week. Looking forward to NOT ruining like my generic APad from China. Well, I take that back. I just cant get my screen rotation and wifi to work so I offed it on ebay.
Anyway, if I understand correctly, to use this beast as a phone,
1. Root
2.Verify/Patch Bootloaders
3. Backup ? (This is fresh out of box, any need?)
4. Restock ? (This is fresh out of box, any need?)
5. Download mode
6. Install Kernel
7. Install Overcome Rom
8. Restore Data ? (This is fresh out of box, any need?)
Any feedback appreciated. I think I have done my home. Its a Tmobile so I know I have you use the carrier specific modem.
I have never really posted on here before like this, but I think I might have a few tips and tricks I can contribute, as I have learned sooooooooooooooooooooo much from you guys.
Please read before posting and post in the correct section.

[Q] should this subforum be closed???

hello everyone, I recently purchased a dell streak 7 and actually love it but have been disappointed in the lack of rom development for the device. it makes me feel like i purchased the device that nobody cares about. everyday i check the development section just to see the same post. there is never anything new so i was wondering why this sub-forum still open???? I dont think we really need a whole sub-forum just to see when dj steve releases an update for the same rom. One developer should not warrant a whole sub-forum. This makes me wish i would have hung on to my g-tab.

U can just as easily leave xda .... it takes time to pick up extra developers. Learn yourself and put out your own rom !!!
I've started on it myself..... I know a few others who have too.... learning takes time ! ALSO FYI, We already have 2 different froyo builds, 1 honeycomb build, and Ubuntu partially functioning. I've talked with 2 people who have already started trying their hand at gingerbread. Nothing official there yet though.
Most of us have jobs and families..... time isn't so abundant. If u have the time then do something about it and stop complaining
Donating to developers is also an incentive ........
PS
mods please move this where it belongs.
avoid Android - get an Apple device

[Q] ROMS that work fully with the Sprint HTC One

what roms are there that are 100% compatable with Sprint? ive looked at a few roms that looked good and after reading all the forum on it it turns out that its unusable with sprint.
are there any out there that are 100%???
Try them out for yourself and then you'll know 100%.
Obviously be sure to do a backup first just incase it doesn't work. They should be fine though.
Now I've answered your question, time for some advice.
Next time you have a question, post it in the correct forum. General is NOT for asking questions nor will it ever be.
Also, this is a developer site NOT a support site. What this means to you is that we don't mind answering questions but ONLY if you're willing to help yourself a bit aswell. No-one on this site is here to spoonfeed you throughout your whole time here.

3. i am no noob here at xda...i have never been spoonfed. i have never posted drivel just to get a count on my profile
so if you really have nothing helpful to say then dont say anything

I'm not even subscribed to this forum but I wanted to laugh at something... Don't feel bad dude ...this isn't the only forum that a little man syndrome guy has to come off as a hater"
That question was legit and was in the [email protected] where it needed to be , moderators and moderator wannabee"s have this tendency to try and make a question sound like it's not in the [email protected] section... Still boggles me to this day !

took me forever to find this but i had lots of trouble getting my recovery to work. tried them all with no luck. kept getting to the loading recovery screen and would sit there for about 15 seconds and then shut down. i looked and looked and read and read and finally found someone(forgot who) that posted a link to another page and on this page they said that sprint had its own version of twrp. found it flashed it and it worked!
http://teamw.in/project/twrp just put in the device model and get the up to date version for sprint phones.
hope this helps some people
ROMs i have found that dont work (for me). if you are on sprint and you get them to work please let me know
[ROM] RENOVATE 1.0 | [r42] | Sense 5.0 | EQS | SVN | Nightlies | 1.29.401.13 <------ they did say there was sprint compatibility in the process. looks like an awesome rom.
I'm on maximus 7 5.0.0 this the only one that flashed without a problem anybody else find anymore let me

Help with firmware

hello
Faced with such a problem. Trying to install on your machine this firmware. As a result, nothing is set. In retsovery some mistakes all the time. That status of 0, 7 status, then something else. Already tried anything.
Also put it like MIUI and put normal, but does not work 3G, only 1X and then intermittently.
And it is not clear, wifi works or not. Can help somehow? Just do not load, I do not quite understand English =)
PS
Excuse me if I choose the appropriate forum for the topic.
PPS
For example, set this firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245120 . Installation was like, but only the boot screen appeared and everything. Not loaded on.

[HELP THREAD] Samsung Note 4 T-Mobile ~| Noob Friendly |~| All Questions Welcome |~

Hey everyone, I recall a thread like this from my previous beloved, Galaxy S 4 by @Skipjacks, and I figured the Note 4 also deserves such a thread. It did very well there, still active, and I was hoping we could have such a nice environment here as well. I'm hoping this will lead to less cluttered in Development Threads and Q&A Forum. An information bank for EVERYONE and ALL level of android knowledge
If you are not familiar with XDA and what is required of you as a brand new user (Or simply need a refresher), I will advice you start HERE
The quickest way to annoy anyone here is by not SEARCHING. Make "Search" your best friend. It is located at the right side of your screen, you simply cannot miss it. If you do not know how to properly search on XDA, here is a simple guide line. Simply put in a keyword, press enter, and results will pop up. From there skim to see which pertain to what you are concern with and move on from there. You are wondering about battery life? Type in battery and see what pops up. You have wifi issue? Simply type in wifi and see what pop up. Its very, very easy.
Another quick way to annoy anyone on here, is by not reading atleast the last 20 posts. Odds are, your concern have been addressed most likely. A quick skim is always good!
I hope this thread will be a Help and Be Help type of things. I always believe in paying it forth.
ASK ANY QUESTION HERE
There is no such thing as a stupid question! You feel it is a stupid question, simply look away and do not answer! No NOOB bashing. No encouraging NOOB bashing! If everyone do their part, this could be successful!

Odin does not work on debian / ubuntu relatives @NETTURU
An alternative would be heimdall for your OS...which something I know NOTHING about lol
Do you not have window alternative somewhere? If I do come across a good guide on heimdall I will let you know
Ive tried with hiemdall when I put my phone in download mode it detects it but that's about it
Sent from my SM-N910T using XDA Free mobile app
I never could get heimdall to work properly in linux mint. It seems like you are having issues too.
The only suggestion I can make is to set your PC to dual boot Windows and Linux for occasions like this where emulation won't work for you.
In the meantime, perhaps you could use a friend or relatives computer to ODIN a fresh ANK4 setup.
Yeah its a Odin flash issue. You may be able to just Odin flash TWRP. Again and it could be fixed. Also let me know if you need the files I can throw them up on my mega.

I've searched with google, reddit, this forum, and android central (though, for some reason I only had access to one page of results) and I can't find a direct answer, so I would greatly appreciate some help.
FoxFi does not work for WiFi with the Note 4 on T-Mobile, but can anyone verify that I could still USB tether directly into my PC and use the internet on my PC and have it access mobile data, instead of tether data? I don't have Note 4 or T-Mobile to test yet, and knowing if this works helps determine my plan decision. I wish to stay unrooted for now, and would probably use 20GB-ish a month.
Maybe this is a stupid question, because FoxFi says USB/Bluetooth tethering is supported on all phones. And the description on Google Play says T-Mobile users should use USB tethering for it to work, so it sounds like it should. Yet, I've still not seen anyone definitively state that they've successfully used FoxFi USB tethering with the Note 4 on T-Mobile and specifically not use tether data. I've found plenty of direct statements from other carrier users, and general statements of USB tethering works, but nothing I can directly connect to Note 4/T-Mobile.
I posted this in a FoxFi thread a few days ago with additional questions, but haven't gotten a response yet: Does FoxFi Work? Post #14 If you answer here, I'll update that thread, or vice versa.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you! Happy New Year!
