Rooting should never be the answer to any problem.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus

There are very few cases when rooting will solve a power issue. Also, that is the google code site. As you know Google develop android and the site is the ultimate android "forum."
I am a bit unsure about the purpose of this thread.

I think he was busting your chops ...
The only Blur ICS is the razr leak, that someday be be ported, but hasn't yet been.
I hope so cause i really want to find out

Take a look at this then. Currently, it's been pulled, and there doesn't seem to be any new activity here, but it was there for a little while...

The link in the last post is the rom I was referring to. Most of the ICS rooms can be found on the droidhive forums.
You asked a yes or no question so I gave you a yes or no answer.
I recommend waiting for an official ics if you really want blur so badly.
Or just get an ics theme for your blur rom as you wait it out.

Why not just link to it in the first place or tell him where to find it and save the forum some posts. Just because it was a yes or no question, don't mean your actually helping by only saying yes.

In the top right there is a search button.
If people actually use it this thread would never have started.
Well thanks guys for the info anyways.

Some people use the xda app, which doesn't have a search button on top. I have barely used a computer to access xda in almost 6 months. On another note, finding things for the bionic is much harder than it is on many other devices. This is my first android which I had to use 4-5 different websites to find all the files I needed. With my previous phones, xda was the first place to look for something, but with the bionic, it seems like xda is the last place you want to check. With some files, it was easier to google bionic root than it was to find it on here.
I've always felt that the rooting community are the embasssadors for Android and unless we are actively developing, we should be more than willing to help others who are having problems. The more we can help them, the less they will have to bother the developers for help. While some questions are based on people being lazy, many of them are based on the user not knowing better. The bionic seems to have a lot of newer android owners which helps explain the repetition of questions. I suggest when offering help, also let the user know of the rules we go by when searching before asking.
The sooner someone can get their phone running nice, the sooner they can go show it off to their friends and help promote the growth of android. I know I used to impress my iPhone friends back when I was new with wifi tether. They couldn't get a signal and needed to use mine. A couple of those people are now on Android.

Well written. More people should think like this.

I agree with everything you said, OTHER then the search functionality. I as well only use the XDA app. But from the home screen if the app, if you click the upper right hand tabs that says "more" it has the search function there. Which would save reposts over and over in all phone forums. It is irritating to read through forums, looking for new things, and reading the same questions over and over.

Just because app brings support for the 4.1 why would that mean the notes getting it?
There are plenty of threads talking about jellybean, the answer is simple so far no word from Samsung they have only confirmed that he S3 will get it.
However its very likely there will be ports and once CM10 starts (when jellybeans source is dropped) Its likely that will come to us to

Developers for upcoming galaxy note 10.1?

Is there any Note developers that would be capable or interested in developing your great roms for our notes big brother??? I'm gonna buy that tablet but I'm afraid it won't be as popular as gnote.. If any developer is interested I and many others would be very grateful!

You are asking for which is still not launched ? I am sure when it will be launched we will have a dedicated forum section for it where you can go and find your answers.

Yeah it is launched and I do know that there already exists a thread but if you'd want to get attention of developers maybe this is a better place to ask about it since in original note forums currently draw much more people than a couple of days existed 10.1 forum. That's my philosophy

Android 4.4.2

Uh....That was fast. I wonder what else was jacked up enough that they abandoned the 4.4.1 version.
http://www.androidcentral.com/nexus-ota-updates-android-422-are-pushing-out-now
bug fixes to the bug fixes.. had to be something they were really concerned about to release it so quick.
Yeah, apparently just bug fixes for 4.4.1 which had some camera improvements. I have had zero problems with either update though.

Best alternative ROM?

Hello everyone. So I'm big on Chinese branded Roms and anything that isn't stock or cm based. Aside of FlymeOs has anyone encountered any roms for our device that are not posted here.
And please remember, do not link to any malicious sites.

More precisely, the most patient developers are here. The rest have left, because they were too tired to answer dozens of questions daily about battery life, and about ETA-s of bugs without logcats.

I just literally think I've flashed every ROM I've seen for the n6. Lol. Everything on xda for sure. And a few things on g+. What else is there.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Although not necessarily alternative because it's located here on XDA, AICP is on G+. In my opinion it is the best, the lead dev is a really nice guy who is willing to put whatever ideas you have to improve the feature list into action. And the feature list is bigger than any other ROM
