Had an idea, why not create a database of our O4X scores? See whats good and whats not.
Thinking of a template. You can run any benchmark you want ant post the results.
I am going to run the benchmarks and update.
I ll try to make a datasheet and hold the results and see how different phones with different setups/updates run the benchmarks.
An example template:
Just copy paste and put your results and info.
Update version: V10f for example
SetCPU: none / set to 1500MHz for the benchmakrs
Any other modifications: for example rooted/not rooted, etc.
Browsermark Chrome score: xxxx

In GL Benchmark Select GL Benchmark 2.5 Egypt HD C24Z16 and Onscreen and run!

Ran a little script for quadrant Pimp My Rom gives you a list of tweaks that you choose to install, it's fairly easily done. Search it! also got 12 FPS in that GLbenchmark 2.5 Egypt thingy..
Does the script improve the performance in general? Or only for quadrant?
Nah, it just tricks Quadrant
Can any one put up a link for the v6 supercharger for this phone cheers

I think after a reboot the bench results are better.

Hi all
On of my friends has miui running on his htc desire. As well all know both desire and milestone on stock roms does not have very good i/o. But on his desire with an ext3 partition had a beastly i/o. I mean really beastly. His i/o was the same as his processor score pushing the quadrant total way past 2000. So why is the i/o on miui so fast? Is it because of that i/o performance patch on miui? And can us milestone/droid users share the supercharged i/o love

I think he might mean UI..
Nope I mean i/o input output. And this is based on the quadrant benchmarks and I can't get my head around how his i/o score is over 1000.

Depending on which ROM you have, you can get over 1000 in Quadrant. I was able to on Cronos 1.3.0, FroyoMOD 2.7.0 and iceandfire 2.2
How? I'm on iceandfire too but me I/o isn't that high and I have working ext3 on my SD card

What scores do you get? With Quadrant, you need to run it about 3 times to get a fully consistent result.
I get about 250-3300

First of all, Quadrant sucks. Let's start by clearing that up.
You can cheat, especially with the I/O score. Here is how:
http://www.androidcentral.com/how-cheat-android-benchmarks
Now, if you want scores:
With CM7 and 1GHz, I get 1000.
With CM6 and 1.1GHz I used to get 1450.
Nice cheat heh
300 is freaking low tho

What about gaming and battery life?
Sent from my Milestone using XDA App
I really can't say, as I don't use Milestone for gaming. Only for Angry Birds, and it can be played on every ROM I've tried.
The other day I installed Sacred Odyssey: Rise of Ayden and it plays well on CM7, so I guess it would play just fine on CM6.

Hmm, that's weird. I have a higher benchmark score than you, yet my cpu is just 1.3ghz. It only comes to show benchmark scores are quite useless when it comes to performance testing. I'm on stock rom btw.

used nexus tool kit to temp boot into TWRP only to flash motley A33 kernel.
left all settings alone.
adjusted CPU speed from 1500 to 1700 and left everything else alone.
with my daily use i can get about 2 days of battery power mainly streaming netflix at night for about 3 hours for super natural.
this bench mark is fairly consistent at 1700, if i drop to 1500 CPU then the score drops back to around 5500.

i dont think that is true, i sometimes experience lag on some of my games on Nexus 4. it is a very minor lag (micro lag).

Micro lag? Hmmmmmm no lag here. Just make sure you don't have a bunch of stuff running on the background and as long as the game is coded well I don't see any lag..
MW3 plays awesome on this device.. batman plays awesome..GTA paid awesome. What games are causing you lag?

Tested on a Fresh Install of PA (25th Feb) with Franco r96
Pre Mod
Quadrant 2D = 254
Quadrant 3D = 1977
Post Mod
Quadrant 2D = 333
Quadrant 3D = 2199
That's a single run each time, so take from that what you will...
Edit: That was quadrant doing it's usual up and down thing. Did some research in to this, and at least in PA and CM10.1, there is no adreno_config.txt located within the rom, and no way to make the os look for it, as far as I can tell.

Could you test on antutu because where the performance difference is
You could've asked before opening another thread about a resource that wasn't yours... But nvm... ><
An FYI to everyone, this is currently only supported on Gingerbread. It will NOT work on the Nexus 4 which runs JellyBean.
Hello!
Since there are some kernels that support GPU overclocking:
1. What GPU clock do you use?
2. Is your GPU undervolted?
3. Do you see any performance boost with overclock? (eg. benchmark or gaming)
4. Is your battery life the same as before? (or better/worse)
Another thing, does anyone know if you overclock our Nexus 7 GPU - does it stay there or it has no effect?
Have fun!
My example:
1. I OCed my GPU to 520mhz
2. mV values at 520mhz is 1175
3. My benchmarks are the same - I think I can see some performance improvement while gaming (might be placebo)
4. Can't really tell
i overclocked my gpu to 500mhz
with an undervolt of -50mv
You should also list what kernel you are using
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Running M-kernel a40 with GPU at 500 no under volt, I see slight improvement in graphics benchmarks but you won't get much because of the RAM bottleneck. My battery is only worse if I do a lot of gaming

Oh, and Metallice, why we need to use 600, 666. 700 or the other values? And, how much voltage the cpu and gpu on this device can handle?
Edit: 520 mhz using faux kernel ultimate, I don't know the voltage on his kernel.
Hi , I overclocked my phone using elementalx kernal on viper rom ... After that I ran a bunch of test by using AnTuTu and Quadrant standard apps
I don't know,I'm not an expert about OC but honestly I expect to hit the 12000 easily in quadrant benchmark sense the stock HTC one can reach the 11000
My OC choices :
Cpu frequency = 1890Mhz
Undervolt = 850/min
Gpu =450 MHz
My question here is this results normal or not ?
