Hello!
Since there are some kernels that support GPU overclocking:
1. What GPU clock do you use?
2. Is your GPU undervolted?
3. Do you see any performance boost with overclock? (eg. benchmark or gaming)
4. Is your battery life the same as before? (or better/worse)
Another thing, does anyone know if you overclock our Nexus 7 GPU - does it stay there or it has no effect?
Have fun!
My example:
1. I OCed my GPU to 520mhz
2. mV values at 520mhz is 1175
3. My benchmarks are the same - I think I can see some performance improvement while gaming (might be placebo)
4. Can't really tell
i overclocked my gpu to 500mhz
with an undervolt of -50mv
You should also list what kernel you are using

600mhz, 1300mv, testing and searching for the lowes and more stable voltage for this frecuency.
Oh, and Metallice, why we need to use 600, 666. 700 or the other values? And, how much voltage the cpu and gpu on this device can handle?
Edit: 520 mhz using faux kernel ultimate, I don't know the voltage on his kernel.

I'm guessing no since tegra drivers are close-sourced. But I could be wrong.
The GPU is indeed Overclock able, and the epeen version of vorkKernel for CyanogenMod Overclocks the GPU a little

The GPU is overclocked from 355Mhz to 366Mhz, on the EPEEN version of vorkKernel. But remember only to flash it if you're running CyanogenMod
Wiki says original is 300mhz for 2x or am i missing something? Btw strange thing ive noticed when running multitouch benchmark try to add more than two fingers and whatch fps drops from 120 fps to 60.. is that normal or there is touch bug like there was in optimus p500.

300Mhz might be the default. In that case we have some OC on the default one too.
Lag might occur on touch depending on ROM and stuff. One some devices a lot of log spam happens, and this slows down the device considerably
Ok thank you, same drops on cm7 fresh install as on fresh stock v10b its like 10 fps for each finger..

It's kernel doesn't support OC, you should flash an alternative kernel like swiftkernel, see thread in dev section.
And you're off topic, his thread if about gpu overclock, not CPU.

GPU is the graphics chip.
CPU is the chip used for everything else.
Overclocking the CPU will see performance gains in nearly every field, and the Tegra 2 can be overclocked from 1GHZ to 1.55GHZ or so.

is it the cpu or the gpu??
seen o2x with 1.5ghz

just a quick through :
cpu can be overclocked(controlled by pimp my cpu/setcpu)
gpu based on source code can be overclocked too, but i can't find any voltage control that control gpu clock. so, overclock gpu is really minimal, from usual 335mhz to 366mhz. in benchmark, you won't see any noticeable score. so, i don't know if the gpu overclocking working fine or not, 30mhz increase seems not helping...
cheers...
Is there any way to reach 400mhz?

Yes it comes.. but based on my testing,it will cause black screen of death after screen turn off for several minutes. Normal clock or a little increase doesn't make those problem.

hi all
i have installed prime hd 9 with custom kernel i want to exactly know at what min and max CPU frequency should i keep for good high speed performance which is stable i kept some frequency at random and it was not that much speed it slowed my phone and in what governor should i keep
I personally dont recommend doing anything with your CPU because from my experience I didnt see so much difference and speeding up your CPU will make you battery drain faster and you CPU will reach highier temps. For the governor I use the performance one because it is constantly keeping the clocks on the highest set values. It makes the phone work smoother and while changing clocks its slowing the phone down. You can try and look for every governor meaning but I recommend the performance one. To monitor the temps use SetCPU`s widget.

You should really consider clocking up to at least 1400 you'll notice a huge difference as long as your rom/kernel is stable at higher speeds. If your scared of overheating you can set a profile to change your clock settings once it reaches a certain temp.

But... It's smooth as it is just a question, why do you overclock? For games, or for smoothness in the os? Because I have a Nexus 7 for games and everything, I don't need a super powered phone. Even my N7 is usually underclocked
Another reason I don't overclock is because my phone is unstable at higher frequencies with my voltage settings. If I raise the voltages it will use more battery :/
But they said, I am setting my phone to 1.2GHz now to try

adjusted CPU speed from 1500 to 1700 and left everything else alone.

this bench mark is fairly consistent at 1700, if i drop to 1500 CPU then the score drops back to around 5500.

I don't know,I'm not an expert about OC but honestly I expect to hit the 12000 easily in quadrant benchmark sense the stock HTC one can reach the 11000
