Hi,
I upgrade to 906 then downgrade to 890 by using 1 click SBF method work like charm, but I can't install XT883 get error RSD lite in first step FAIL ? I think this method help to downgrade but not completely that's why I can't flash XT883 ROM. Before upgrading to 906, I can easily flash XT883 ROM with RSD lite 5.6.
And also saw this thread but I can't understand the XML coding part I'm totally new.
Can body just help me to flashing XT883, So I can run both network CDMA and GSM because there is no other ROM which can run both network in my knowledge
Close the thread issue solved myself

Hello, I have flashed XT883 on XT862 successfully through the following steps.
(1) Apply 1-Click flash to downgrade from .906 to .890
(2) Download MOTO XT883_ROM 2.3.6-SLNCT-60.3.250.zip. Unzip it to a folder 'A'.
(3) Unzip the 1-Click flash to another folder 'B'.
(4) Copy the content of folder 'A' to a new folder 'C'.
(5) Copy boot, cdt, recovery of folder 'B' into folder 'C' >> Replace them.
(6) Reboot into Fastboot. Check your Fastboot version is 0A.53.
(7) Flash using the XML in folder 'C'.
The screen will reboot and it will take between 10 - 15 minutes to get up.
Once up, leave the Network as 'Global' or 'CDMA'. Do not choose 'GSM'.
Go to APN and set your operator settings.
That's it!
The above worked for me. Unfortunately the network is unstable. It often switch down my 3G and remains in 2G network. Frustrating.
If someone knows how to remains in 3G network. Kindly shared with us!

Greetings all! I just flashed my AT&T Tab to Gingerbread using video instructions found at thegalaxytabforum (sorry, I don't have enough posts to post the link)
Unfortunately everything works good except the 3G part. This thing doesn't seem to be connected to the AT&T network. Wifi is good.
I'm new to the flashing business so I'm really lost at this point. Any suggestions on what I can do to get it connected? I'm even willing to go back to the stock installation of Froyo if that's what it takes, but I really like the Gingerbread update.
Any insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
Update: I've now flashed to the Overcome ROM and I still don't get any connectivity. I included the modem file when flashing but still nothing. What am I missing?
which modem file are you using?
One user reported ok using JPZ modem in AT&T but you may need data plan because AT&T know you are using a tablet.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1483069
You can try a few from the modem thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069727
Flash from CWM recovery. Couldn't be easier.
I have a data plan with AT&T and I've tried a couple of different modems. It eludes me.
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but what is CWM Recovery? I like the sound of "couldn't be easier".
you have overcome ROM. Overcome kernel comes with recovery.
Put your modem zip files in the sd card.
If your tab is powered up, press the power button, and the reboot menu has one called "Recovery".
You can also reach from powered-off state, by holding VOL UP button and power button.
That is ClockWorkMod recovery.
Choose to "install" from sd card, and navigate to your modem zip file.
EDIT: have you confirmed your problem is not with APN setting? GPRS/3G service needs correct APN setting to work.
The only APN showing is ATT wap.cingular. I have no idea if that's correct. I could add another one but I don't know what to add. I just reset my APN defaults but that didn't seem to help.
What modem zip files are you referring to? Again, sorry for the silly questions. This is indeed my first rodeo.
I really appreciated your help!
wap.cingular sounds right.
What link, read my original reply.
Before that, can you note down your "Setting | About Phone" Baseband
that is your modem version. In case you need to know that.
I went through all 24 pages of the modems thread and installed 4 of the modems that were recommended for AT&T but still no data connectivity.
Thanks for the help so far. Any other suggestions are certainly welcome.
By the way, I have a friend with the same un-flashed tablet. Is there a modem file I can snatch from her tab and install on mine? Just a thought.
to get modem, your friend need to have rooted tab.
I am just giving rough idea below and I don't know if it safe or not, or if you know how to use adb, heimdall or Odin.
(borrowing what "roto backup" script use)
and using ADB
adb shell su -c "dd if=/dev/block/bml12 of=/sdcard/modem.bin bs=4096"
adb pull /sdcard/modem.bin .
but you will need to use heimdall to flash modem
or tar it and use Odin.
Again, I can't help you with all these, so if you are willing to learn and to try..

My phone worked very good for 1 Year but recently it boots 80% of times when placing a call.
I have learned from the forums that the problem is the radio rom and I should flash a correct radio file.
I also find instructions how to flash an SBF rom in "[GUIDE] Flash SBF to Motorola Atrix 4G - xda-developers.htm"
but the files in that tread are inaccessible.
I also find other threads with unclear posts to flash radio.img, but also those files are inaccessible.
Can someone point me to the correct radio file and the correct method to flash it?
Thanks
Eli

Wrong device, this is the forum for the Xperia Z, you need to ask this in Atrix 4G forum
wonder why so many users who have different devices get's lost here on Xperia Z forum? lol already encountered 3 threads this is the 4th one.
The phone is unlocked and rooted running ICS in the US. If I understand correctly by reading various threads I can move to any version of JB.
I'd like to run the British Firmware since I am in the US.
Are these the right steps.
Be on stock recovery(I used the tool in the Android Development thread to switch from CWM to stock)
Download RSD 6.0
Use Voodoo root keeper
Connect to PC
Backup sdcard and internal files
Download Retail British Firmware from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239706
Download the above file to the PC or Phone?
Use RSD 6.0 to flash Firmware
reboot, sign in and run Voodoo app to regain root.
Run Tool to flash custom recovery, CWM or TWRP??
Please let me know if there are any steps I missed or should be changed.
I also would like to update the radios, I know there is a thread in the development section on updating the radios.
Will flashing the file in RSD update the radios when it installs JB, not sure if they are included or not.
Thank you in advance!!
First, i'd like to thank our atrix hd wise guys for all the knowledge you've put on this forum .
Now to the issue at hand, i'm currently running CM10.2 nightly 05 oct. I've been having modem crashes for weeks now as described in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2385048&page=24
Weird thing is, i only get these crashes when in the area where i work. Back at home i get no modem crashes at all.
My Baseband is MB886_BP_100740.071.65.04P
I'm considering flashing mexico retail modem (which has good user opinions) using the procedure described in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2233871
I've figured the backup process for the modem should be something like this:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/storage/sdcard1/modem.bin bs=4096
So, now with the questions:
1. Before proceeding, i'd like to know if this would be a correct backup procedure for my current modem files?
2. Would i be able to restore this newly created modem.bin file with fastboot in case mexican modem doesn't work/solve my problem?
3. From what i've researched, the mexican 4.1.2 modem file should be compatible with CM10.2 JB 4.3, am I correct?
Thanks in advance for any help on this!
From my experience with other phones, modems work regardless of android version. If that backup procedure is correct (which I have no clue if it is), you can restore it by reversing the command.
Sent from my MB886 using xda app-developers app
I went ahead and backed up / flashed a new modem, so to answer my own questions.
1. The backup method for the modem partition was correct.
2. I was able to restore the backup i created.
3. A 4.1.2 modem worked fine on 4.3. I believe tho there could be incompatiblity between ICS and JB for example.
Sadly i haven't been able to solve my modem crash issues, i will report if i find anything. Thanks to the previous user for the input above.

Hi
I mistakenly formatted m7y modem via CWM two days back. How can I restore it, seeing that your process was successful?
Thanks in advance.
Well because i can never leave things alone until i get what i want, i ended up soft bricking it again. I flashed the modem from 4.2.2 ATT to the D-FUSE Rom and somehow it wiped my backup and custom recovery, so i wasnt able to restore, or edit the build.prop because it was in a boot loop.
To get out of the boot loop and the cross Dl error this time, i edited the the tot file with HrHex editor to change the hardware ID. once you open the tot file just ctrl+f Find D950 and change it to whatever hardware your device is (just the first instance, no need to change the software version id), use the universal dll file to flash the edited tot.
Once it finished flashing the ATT 4.4.2 tot, i was able to root it with stumproot and install freedom flex recoveries on the stock KK 4.4.2 image.
I am going to attempt flashing the ATT 4.4.2 modems this time on top of the D-FUSE T-Mobile Rom.
If anyone knows the correct sequence of wiping/flashing to get my desired affect of T-Mobile Rom with ATT Modem working please let me.
Also, if these updates are annoying please let me know. I have yet to find a complete place that has all the fixes for these errors. My hope is this helps someone else messing around with these files and getting into trouble.

I have it resolved, while in the DFUSE ROM, download ES File Explorer and edit the build.prop hardware id to match D950. Turn off phone and leave it off, get your flash tool ready with the tot file loaded and the D950 dll.
If you have already set your com to 41 for the USB port/phone then first hit the arrow for the flash tool to say ready, then put the phone in download mode, and it will start flashing the phone.
Has anyone ever tried to backup EFS and Modem from factory image, than flashing it over the DFUSE ROM?

I have the ATT D950 (LG G Flex), i decided against the better judgement of the forum post to flash the DFUSE kit kat Tmobile Rom.
Now i cannot recover using any flash method, including using the D959 dll and the universal dll with the att tot's.
Would someone happen to have a ATT D950 Rom, so that i can flash over what i have now to change the hardware ID from D959 to D950 or does anyone have a sure way of me flashing the tot file with the current discrepancy.

I used the build.prop of D958.
flashed D95820a tot to LS995 and before that I backed up boot and modem from twrp in LS995ZV7.
then after flashing stock tot d958 i rooted, twrp, then restored the boot and modem backup.
NFC isnt working but everything else is.
