[Q] ttorrent Pro and BTGuard - Motorola Droid Bionic

Does anyone know how to setup tTorrent Pro to funnel through BTguard?

You should probably put this under q&a or apps.

I live in KS, and the sales clerk was shocked that I knew the Bionic was coming out tomorrow. I'll be ordering mine from Verizon online tonight, or as soon as they post it.

I actually ordered my Bionic from Verizonwireless.com this morning.. Too lazy to haul my cookies 40 minutes away to pick one up.. I'm pretty excited to see what it can do. I haven't gotten a new cellphone in 2 yrs - had the Droid Eris. Although I liked HTC, their hardware is suckish. My Eris was replaced 4 times due to multiple hardware malfunctions. I've always heard pretty good things about Motorola. Looking forward to seeing what the Bionic community will do with this phone!

How did you set it up? It won't work for me.
I'm having some difficulty locating a link to Pete's tool, could you please post a link to the version you have working? (I also want to make sure I've got a program that is known to work, and not accidentally download something bogus.) I'll be getting mine in about an hour or so.
EDIT: I think I finally found it: www_dot_psouza4_dot_com/Droid3/
(forum won't let me post links yet.) ...Please correct me if this isn't the same one you used, though!
Just got mine. Coming from an Eris. Worst part of the experience was sitting in the Verizon store for 2 hours waiting for the slow bionic activation process of customers ahead of me.
Been playing around with it for a bit, I like it so far. Can't wait for a root to get rid of all this bloatware. It's truly absurd how many useless apps they've installed that cannot be removed.

Yes I would like to know more about this so called screen issue. I'm picking mine up this evening. Is it really as bad as everyone says it is? I had the sensation for 30 days till I returned it (T-mobile sucks) and it had a beautiful screen.

Helpful post.
This happened to me when I set up underclocked profiles on SetCPU. Getting rid of that fixed it.
Same problem here with my rooted droid bionic. Mine doesn't reboot but its powers off and I have to power it back on or take the battery out. Happened 3 past 2 days. After rooting the phone I have to say that I restored most of my app with titanium.

bloatware
i deleted and froze some of the bloatware on my phone just stuff like kindle and nfl mobile and vznavigator and music i wouldnt think that would make my phone randomly turn off. ???? should i do a system dump (deodexed) or should i just unroot and reroot?

It's the phone not what you've done. Unrooted phones are doing it as well. Just have to wait for moto to come up with a solution.
It seems like the majority of people who are having the issue are rooted and probably froze a bunch of system apps. Or they Titanium Restored their system settings (bad idea).
I'm rooted and haven't had the issue once.
I had this happen once this morning..

Actually, no. It looks like the In-pocket protection setting might be causing it.
It was happening to me pre-root.
I have had mine rooted since day one and I have never had this happen I have also never used the pocket lock setting though.

There are various reports over the last few months that the XDA app (free version) crashes on devices that do not contain an IMEI (i.e. tablets). The 'premium' version of the app does not have this issue. I would suggest someone try the premium app to confirm/deny this issue exists for this device.
and again.. .. and do you have to have the paid version to upload images?

I started with the premium app, then tried the xda HD, still same problem. Only thing left to try is the Tapatalk for another 3.00 $.I would spend another 5.00 bucks if I knew it would be OK, but I have no guaranty that its going to work !

Paid version of Tapatalk is working just fine for me here and on other forums I visit. Granted, I'm using the 7" tablet, but it should be the same I would hope.
I need to Unroot my tab and see if apps work properly without root. At that time I'll figure out if I need to try tapatalk or not.

main thing with tapatalk is money. Anything free whether glitchy and force closing or not is going to be used over something that costs even 99 cents. Take a poll.

Tapatalk has big footprint and it's disinged with slot of extra resources to work with a lot of other forums that I don't use. Not my cup of tea , I rather have a specific app for what I need.
Thank anyway.

**************** issue resolved *****************
Problem solved by unchecking kill app after leaving in development settings ,"developer options" "do not keep activities". I had this checked thinking it would save me battery.
It was this setting that was causing me problems with my xda apps closing.
##### developer options, do not keep activities, box should not be checked. #####

New MIUI User with Questions

Just installed MIUI-20120608 on my Bionic, switching from GummyNex 1.2. I like it so far but I THINK I need a little schooling on how to set it up.
First, the reason I switched in case it matters, I loved GummyNex but the video recorder never worked, I guess it is an option that they never got to work from what I read, I can't seem to get it to work on the MIUI rom either although I want to believe it will since it seems to recognize it has a video recorder.
Secondly, I am having some issues getting the data to work, I saw online that there are some steps to go through to get it to work (go to phone info>switch to GSM only; go to setting>mobile networks>CMDA/LTE....) which works but everytime my phone reboots I have to repeat the process. There has to be a way to set it up once and thats it.
Thirdly, there are a LOT of flexibility with this ROM, AWESOME. But I don't know where to start, what all the options mean to me. Instead of trial and error I am hoping some of the experienced users could share some of the best "setups" with me?
Thanks guys!
.... Miui? Where did you find that rom? Every Dev related to Miui stopped working on that ROM sadly which means its out of date now. Unless I'm out of the loop on Miui LOL.

You can use it. Just there will be no one to answer your questions. So your back to trial and error.

My Bionic!!

Oh bother! Thats an afternoon wasted!

Just spent an afternoon backing up and rooting my Nexus 4 and putting it all back again. Not quite as slick and easy a thing to do the first time but we got there none the less.
Anyway, we got there and now I find that two apps I use quite often don't work on a rooted device. Yep banking apps and it seems there isn't a fix. Seems like I only did 98% of my homework.
Grrrr so with that and the fact my 4.2.2 update keeps saying 'verification failed' after it downloads over and over has got me feeling a bit deflated.
Back to unrooted we go. Might have to manually update to 4.2.2. as well it seems. Thats for tomorrow I think. More than enough fun for one day.
what banking apps in particular OP? just curious...
Its the Barclays banking ones.
That's the reason I root my phone as some as I buy it. No need to backup reinstall the stuff. However I don't know about the banking app stuff. I am using Wells Fargo and Chase app and both work beautifully for me.

I would NEVER bank on my phone. Guess I am old school.
if it's just root that's an issue, it's not exactly rocket science to UNroot it it only takes about 2 minutes

Yes once you've done it a few times.
When its the first time round on an precious device it takes a little while to pull all the info/apps and process together.
You can't use OTA Rootkeeper for temporary unroot when you need those apps?

I have no idea what that is but will investigate.
* Further investigation says it doesn't work with the Barclays apps. Plus difficult to work out how it works.
Use OTA RootKeeper to update to 4.2.2.. I just did an hour ago

This post reads more like something that belongs on your personal blog.
This section is for general news/tips/tricks/guides/etc. Even the little information about the apps that won't work with root has nothing to do specifically with the Nexus 4.
