In jellybean , how can I answer my phone with my normal unlock settings (pattern) instead of slide?
Well for that you have to lock your app.. but first you have unlock it and then slide to answer...

ok i have the devicelock app which i can assign to my ptt button. but does anyone know if there is a toggle to unlock?? itll b much easier that way bcuz i dont want to always have to tap on the screen to unlock. plus i dont also want to press on two hardware buttons juz to unlock it (like how some lock apps are, i think )
juz want a simple unlock toggle app like the devicelock. im guessing id like to assign it to the ptt button also when my phone is locked so i may unlock it from there too.

Yep. You can use S2U2 and assign it to one of your buttons. To unlock you just slide the screen thing...

There are several apps on the development and hacking section of the forum for autolock.
I use SmartLock 1.7E with WM6.5 and it's perfect. As soon as you press the power button to turn off the screen, the phone gets locked. I only check the option "Standby lock" for this. Don't know about keeping the lock while the phone is ringing, but there are a few options, you can try that. I have the Rhodium dialer so it has slide to answer...

Is there any way to auto unlock the phone upon sliding out the qwerty board? It really doesn't make sense to slide it open and still have to slide to unlock...

i think widget locker may have that option using the hardware keys rather than on screen touch
yeah it does, im really wanting to find a on screen button. i had it on my old iphone 3g which i just cut on for the first time in over a year, and relized how nifftie it was lol

i doesn't like use button of phone so in need the button on scree but the problem is when assign admin permission on this app it cant support fingerprint unlock so all time asking pattern to unlock device

Use nova launcher double tap to sleep gesture or smart launcher 5 double tap to sleep gesture
I use this one dynalogix.screenoff.ultra.quick.timeout and it works quite well, it is using time-out technique, no admin permission is required, hence you can still use fingerprint to unlock.
You can either 1) place the screen-off shortcut on the desktop, 2) place the shortcut in Quick Settings, or 3) assign the shortcut to launcher that support [double tap] gesture. I'm using this with Nova Launcher.
