The title says it all! But...
i have been using the avira premium suite 2012 until now but the license is over.I am really happy with the protection of avira but the 2013 version isnt so good as the 2012 ( I read it on the internet) so I am thinking of switching. What AV program you suggest me for full protection ?
ps: sorry fot bad English

Microsoft Security Essentials (and common sense). It's quiet, won't bother you like most AV programs, you won't even know its there until it finds a virus.

I prefer Vipre Internet Security from GFI Software, its neat on ram and cpu, even when scanning and it finds alot of threats.
Its also very cheap, only like $60-70 for 10 licenses, so I really recommend Vipre.

I refuse to use a security package made by the very people that provided the security holes in the first place.
Free: Avast is good. AVG is good as well.
Paid: ESET is good.
And all three of those are low overhead compared to other products.
What viruses? I use Linux.
/trollface.jpg
Avast, & AVG miss a ton. Avira (free) has caught stuff the other free ones miss, no false-positives, ether. With the exception of android root kits.

If you're OK with paying, I hear Vipre is quite good.

I use Microsoft Security Essential. It's free and it don't bother me too much
BonziBuddy is the best anti virus.
Currently I use Avast (Free version) with PeerBlock to control activity on specific ports. In the past, I used Kaspersky anti-virus in the past, but my license ran out and I just never renewed.
For free: Microsoft Security Essentials
For paid: Kaspersky PURE or Kaspersky Internet Security 2013
Note about Kaspersky, you can occasionally get them for free on NewEgg.com or Fry's Electronics, usually when a new version os released they give a full price rebate.

Agreed, OP can try one of those anti-virus apps, many of which are free, but I would just go back to stock (or whatever ROM you're using) and stick with trustworthy apps.
If your rooted, try Adfree Android by Big Tin Can.

I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan but it's pretty terrible. The learning curve is huge, even before you get your first set of jobs you'll need to grind. It was not worth the money on DS and I doubt it'll be worth the extreme price for the Android version either. Steer clear of this one.

Guys, i would like to share with you a piece of info. Apple has acquired a few patents related to Android. What's the relation? Android has infringed 9 patents of Apple and 2 from Microsoft. This will cause Android mobile producers to stop device production. So, what are the patents infringed?? Well i only saw 2. It is the multi-touchscreen of Apple's patent and some other thing... i forgot.
This info is from some part of xda... i forgot... Google it. Its based on somethingarena.com... so maybe android will die out.

Hard to believe. Android is nowadays too big to fail. Even if this is true, I'm sure that Google will go thermonuclear on this, to protect its platform.

Btw the somethingarena must be either gsmarena or phonearena...
Anyway talking serious now, I really doubt Android will come to an end, at least involuntarily. Google is extremely powerful! It's not some patent infringement that will stop it... They probably have the best lawyers, and strong arguments.
One thing, I have some thoughts that maybe Google will discontinue Android, but maybe after 3 future successful years, to crest another new OS, which will have backward app compatibility with Android... Sounds crazy yeah? Anyway that's my thoughts lol

Android will only end either when they got no more desserts to name or when apple decides to stop making ****ty stuff therefore no more competition for android
One of the reasons Google bought Motorola was to aquire it's library of patents for exactly that sort of situation

How are would they put an adult's lung inside a 10 year old girl?
I realize that this is not a charity org site, which is why I'm not asking for monetary donations. All I'm asking for is a couple of minutes out of everyone's busy schedule to just sign a petition that could possibly help the child from my post above or any other child that may face the same situation in the near future.
Besides, the last I checked, this is an off topic forum.
Also for those that feel this is fake...that's why I posted the link to abcnews site. This was also on the news broadcast this afternoon. Check all the news sources online or offline and let me know if you find that this is a scam.

Even when petitions "succeed" they typically do absolutely nothing and the people who sign them go back to their lives feeling like they made a difference. If you really care about something then you need to call or write your representative and encourage others to do the same.
Also for those that are skeptical, the petition to Make Unlocking Cell Phones Legal received 114,322 signatures(including mine) and resulted in an official White House response:
OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE RESPONSE TOMake Unlocking Cell Phones Legal. said:
The White House agrees with the 114,000+ of you who believe that consumers should be able to unlock their cell phones without risking criminal or other penalties. In fact, we believe the same principle should also apply to tablets, which are increasingly similar to smart phones. And if you have paid for your mobile device, and aren't bound by a service agreement or other obligation, you should be able to use it on another network. It's common sense, crucial for protecting consumer choice, and important for ensuring we continue to have the vibrant, competitive wireless market that delivers innovative products and solid service to meet consumers' needs.
