[Q] Battery Full Notification - LG Thrill 4G

So I use my phone as my bedside alarm clock. My issue is halfway through the night I look at the time and I have the Battery Full Notification on the screen. I have to wake up a little more to hit the ok button to show the time. Kind of annoying. Anyone know how to disable this in the LG thrill? I had a Captivate and they had a ROM that disabled it but I haven't seen a ROM that is doing that for the Thrill. Any advice? Thanks

between that and the alarm going off it is pretty damned annoying. unplug it before you look at it.

Tilt freezes every morning

I'm having a problem where just about every morning I wake up and my phone is frozen and the home screen is showing distorted colors. Some times the interface will slightly change after touching the screen but not much else. This has been a big problem for me because for the past few days i've been late for work as I depend on my pocket alarm application to wake me up. (its the only alarm that wakes me up). I'm using Alex v5.20 CUBE rom. Any help? I've already run the google and I see a lot of cube related freezes but Im not sure if this is the case. I'm thinking its Home related.
maybe its having morning sickness hahhahahahah 0_o did you try a hard rest or going to the the setting for htc home disabling everythign soft rest and the turn it back on

Maybe it's the alarm application??? Uninstall Pocket Alarm and try the default alarm application once and see if your phone freezes the next day.
Thanks I'll try that and if it doesn't help I'll try a cleaner rom.

Alarm clock automatcially snoozes when I pick it up?! help. (Cyanogenmod 4.2.3.1)

Hi,
I'm not sure if it's just Cyanogenmod or if this happens on other ROMs but everytime my alarm goes off in the morning I pick it up to disarm but before I can even look at the screen it snoozes!
If the alarm starts going off and I leave it alone on the table, I can see the options to disarm or snooze. It will keep alarming for like 2min strait, but anytime I pick it up- it automatically snoozes (when I don't want it to of course).
Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? I tried going through the alarm settings to turn off accelorometer- but it has nothing of the sort.
*I also tried using the "Alarming!" app, and I have the same problems with that one too...

Is anyone else having trouble with the Clock/Alarm stock app?

I am not sure what is going on, but for whatever reason, certain features of the stock alarm app simply don't work. e.g the option for setting side keys to snooze does absolutely nothing! This is probably my biggest issue as the other could be written off as me doing crazy things in my tired waking up state. It has simply never functioned as it should for me. From the out of the box telco rom, to unbranded stock rom and now KA04.
The UI of the app is quite nice when setting alarms, but just terrible for actual alarms. I seem to dismiss them easily as-well :|. Somehow my partner is getting to the home-screen and opening other apps when trying to snooze (no idea how she is pulling that off though). Sonic Jump's title screen at max volume at 3 am is quite horrendous to the ears
I've set every possible setting to avoid the alarm just dismissing itself yet it's still a pretty frequent occurance.
So either, does anyone know a fix and/or are you experiencing this? OR can you recommend a really solid 3rd party replacement? I've had good experience with AlarmDroid in the past but recently on my GS2 it was having some compatibility issues. With an alarm you don't really wanna risk that it might not go off though lol.
I tried the timer once to boil eggs, it shut down as soon as I locked the screen for some reason. As soon as I unlocked the screen the timer resumed from where I'd locked the screen.
Downloaded Timer instead, it's always served me well.
Gentle Alarm is my alarm clock. Been using it for 2+ years now. love it. Love to be woken slowly by nature sounds.

I think the alarm app is buggy, agree the side button does nothing (code probably ported from another Experia and not checked) pretty poor
and when the alarm actually activates and I miss the screen slider to turn it off - when I activate the home screen and pull down the notification bar to turn off the alarm - it's not always there, the only way I can turn off the alarm is to turn off the phone

Lol well at least I'm not crazy then. You can never be sure who's fault it is that early in the morning .
no problems with alarm here except the early morning syndrome hitting the slider
I have a problem with the alarm. Say I've set up an alarm that is supposed to repeat every day of the week.
But every time I dismiss it when it goes off, it disables itself, so I have to enable it again manually in order to be woken up the next day.
does it work the same way for everybody?

I was late for work the other day because I snoozed the alarm and it didn't come back, at all!... Not Sony's fault, I had set max. number of background processes to 1, and when the lockscreen process starts, that means the launcher becomes the 1 background activity, and the clock gets bumped from memory.
Oops.

[Q] Alarm Randomly Doesn't Work

Around one out of every five times, my alarm just doesn't work. I wake up (on my own) and 1) the phone is pretty hot, 2) an alert that says "Upcoming Alarm" has shown up in the pulldown menu, and 3) a time that is 20-30 min ahead of the alarm was supposed to go off shows up on the right hand side of the notification. Again, this only happens around 20-30% of the time, but it's already made me miss a few important engagements. And yes, I've tried deleting and resetting the alarm as well as making sure the volume is up. Nothing works. Please help!!
I attached a pic.

Hey Bracemg do you have anything disabled/frozen/greenified etc? I have a similar intermittent issue with silent sleeping mode in moto assist. I will probably have to do a factory reset soon, just holding out for 4.4.2 update first.

Relying solely on your phone to wake you isn't the best idea....crap happens.

Notification screen wake

Hey guys,
Just got my phone in the mail today. One thing I have noticed is that notifications don't wake the screen up at all, no matter the app. I can't seem to find a way to turn it on either. I've used the app Glimpse Notifications on my G6 but it was a bit buggy and drained the battery.
I don't use the AOD because I'm not a fan, but does anyone know a way to ensure notifications wake the screen?
As far as I know without AOD on the only notification you'll receive is the LED indicator at the top of the screen. The screen won't light up when something new comes in.
Also, does anyone else notice that you can't double tap notifications to unlock the phone? You have to tap then swipe - can this be changed? It's super annoying.

Android Oreo introduced new Notification Channels. From Settings -> Notifications, you can specify the priority for each app. Anything below URGENT will not wake the screen when it comes in.
I spoke to samsung support, even if urgent - only native apps will wake up the screen, Like Samsung SMS.
Gmail or Whatsapp will not or any other app you install, only the once that came with the samsung rom installed
I use the app Glimpse Notification. It works very well.

The last 4 years Samsung has stop the faction to wake screen on with notifications...Instead you have AOD to notify you....
So the only solution is to use 3rd party app like ''Glimpse notifications'' that Works excellent with all samsung devices with no battery drain....
this is ridiculous.
I'm on 8.1 oreo latest build for unlocked Note9.
I turn off AOD, I have all apps notifications set to urgent.
Edge lighting works great with the screen on. With the screen off it's worthless. Nothing works with edge lighting and the screen off. And AOD off except the alarm app.
If its sms wake you want there are 3rd party sms apps that will wake the phone. but agree there should be a way. not even sure rooting the phone would do it.
