Tilt freezes every morning - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I'm having a problem where just about every morning I wake up and my phone is frozen and the home screen is showing distorted colors. Some times the interface will slightly change after touching the screen but not much else. This has been a big problem for me because for the past few days i've been late for work as I depend on my pocket alarm application to wake me up. (its the only alarm that wakes me up). I'm using Alex v5.20 CUBE rom. Any help? I've already run the google and I see a lot of cube related freezes but Im not sure if this is the case. I'm thinking its Home related.

maybe its having morning sickness hahhahahahah 0_o did you try a hard rest or going to the the setting for htc home disabling everythign soft rest and the turn it back on

Maybe it's the alarm application??? Uninstall Pocket Alarm and try the default alarm application once and see if your phone freezes the next day.

Thanks I'll try that and if it doesn't help I'll try a cleaner rom.

Constant Weak Vibrating

I have had my Diamond for about 5 days now. The other day I noticed it will get stuck in a constant weak vibrate. It seems that a vibe event will cause it to start, like the phone doesn't know to stop vibrating.
I call it weak, because while it is doing this, I can go to volume settings, select Vibrate and the much stronger vibrate even occurs. It seems if I shake the phone or move it around a bit the weak vibrating will stop.
Also shaking the phone sometimes causes this weak vibrating to begin.
Sounds like a mechanical issue ? I have installed some apps like GSen & SensorLock. A couple others like Advanced Config and done some of the registry tweaks.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Un install sensor lock and test. i had this issue with an old version ofthat application.
I have uninstalled both GSen (Since it wouldn't rotate SMS for me on Sprint Diamond) and Sensor Lock. The device is still doing this strange vibrate.
I noticed even when I hold the power button and turn it off (soft reboot?) it continues the odd vibrate. The vibrate will however stop when I remove the battery.
Just giving an update. The phone has stopped doing this strange vibrate action. Not sure if it was related to the program un-installation or not. As stated above it continued to do the vibrating action after the program was uninstalled, but definitely less frequently.
I had something very similar the other day. I'm using the swift ROM.
Its never happened before, and i've been using this same rom a for a while now.
ya i have the sprint diamond and mine did that the one time when i took it off the charger. it would vibrate pulses and the phone was like frozen. So i plugged it back in the charger and uninstalled sensorlock and its fine now

Somewhat off topic but did you find anything that rotates in SMS on the Sprint Diamond?
Don't blame it on Sensor Lock. I don't have that program installed & mine started vibrating non stop the other day. I couldn't get it to stop & finally did a hard reset. It still continued to vibrate all the way to the point where it got to the green Windows Mobile screen. It stopped, after that & it hasn't happened again since (this was on Saturday). I had done some of the reg tweaks for TF3D performance & nothing else.
sensor lock was the only program i had installed so it was the reason for me. as far as i know only way to rotate SMS with sprint diamond is the long press key
I have also done some of the reg key tweaks on my diamond. It did happen again last night, but before that it's been a few days. I had GSen installed, and it wasn't rotating on SMS, I think I read it wouldn't work with the Sprint Diamond.
What is the long key press method?

Reminders - Let the phone sleep

Just upgraded to 6.1. I would like to keep the phone asleep when an alarm goes off, I only want a sound or vibrate notification. I'm pretty sure I had it set-up that way before the upgrade.
The problem is that the phone wakes up for a reminder and it will end up dialing a phone number or some other random thing before it goes back to sleep. This happens because I don't hear the alarm, it is still in the holster and movement pushes on the screen. This has happened several times.
Maybe I was using an app before that I need to put back on, I don't remember. This is very annoying and potentialy embarrasing.
Come to think of it, I want the phone to stay asleep no matter what, until I wake it up. I may have had a phone call that I missed and the movement caused the phone to redial. How can I keep the screen disabled until I push the wake-up button?
Thanks-
Diff
Edit:
This is the Tilt w/ ROM from HTC site
Lock your handset
I think locking the handset will solve your problem. I just tried it, I was able to dismiss the calendar reminder but other functions needed me to follow the unlock route. I assume this will work if you also get called.
Install S2U2.
Set it to lock on wakeup.
Thanks Proto, I'll try S2U2. It looks like it may work, and it is pretty cool too.
Although I would rather use a method with a smaller footprint. There has to be a registry hack that would simply keep the screen disabled until I activate it.
Anyone?
no wakeup on reminder without s2u2
I don't like s2u2 so that doesn't do it for me. I've searched a lot on the internet but I can't find a solution that prevents reminders waking up my phone (and after that being awake in my pocket )
Somewhere in the phone there must be a list of events that can wake up the phone? Somebody knows?
Is there any solution to this problem? Last time my phone woke because of a reminder and then it sent an new appointment to a collegue while moving around in my backpack. There has to be a RegKey or smth on this

Display stays on after midnight wake-up

Hi,
it's hard to believe no one asked this before but I could not found anything about this..
My Diamond (as probably every wm phone) wakes up at midnight.. but because I'm loading the battery over night it does not switch off the display completely but stays dimmed until i switch it off manally.. because it lays right next to my bed I really hate it doing that.
So is there a possibility to switch the display completly off during loading? I have the windows configuration the way that it should switch off the display after 1min in ac-mode.
Thanks in advance,
Michael

I'm having the exact same issue with my HTC FUZE.Wakes up, then stays in a dimmed mode until I put it back to sleep. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

The phone settings are set for backlight off after 1 minute (on external power). Once the phone wakes up, it stays on (in a dim mode) until I physically press the power button to put it back in the standby mode.
Why does it wake up at midnight?
Is it because you have installed a program that restarts it automatically?
i've noticed my diamond wakes up at midnight, feels like it doesn't go off, but does after a few minutes, all the buttons light up as well as if i a txt is about to come on, but the screen come on, i've only noticed it as i've been up late recently and i have the diamond on front of me on hy desk, my old orbit phone (which i keep meaning to sell) doesn't do it, so i can't see it being a wm bug
Weird.. My Diamond doesnt wake up at midnight

Do you (or in the past) have G-Alarm installed. This fixes a windows alarm clock bug. It switches on at midnight to do some sort of maintenance. I have found my phone no longer stays on as you describe, but I always run the latest version of g-alarm
BTW - get your orbit on ebay. I did a buy it now auction and got £150 for my Orbit a few months ago
No More Issues
I have since flashed my ROM to the NATF 4.5 and I have no more issues with the phone coming on at midnight.
Mine used to do that too, the screen would come on and the clock also switches back to the big clock which I hate. After installing galarm it went away but the clock still switches to the big clock and I have to switch it back every morning.
My Topaz also wakes up at midnight and it feels like it won´t shut off! How long should this session last to reorganize all the things? G-Alarm is installed and since then I had this issue.
I could deactivate the midnight wakeup, but I don´t think this is recommend!? Is it?

[Q] Phone app does not work properly +delay when bringing the phone up from sleeping

Hi everyone,
some days ago, I've got a new display into my phone. It is working fine and everything is running good except two things:
- The phone app does hang during an outgoing call. I cannot hang up the call, because there is a black screen, or the phone does not accept input either. When the screen keeps black, I can go back to the home screen pressing the middle button. But in the "system tray" there is no phone symbol. The behavior is changing from call to call. Sometimes the process crashes.
- When the phone is not used for some seconds or minutes it takes up to ten seconds to see someting after pressing the middle button. An interesting aspect is that when the mp3 player is running, there is no delay. Whenn I press the middle button the screen comes back immedialtely.
I have the Firmware 2.2.1 running and executed a hardware reset two times.
Has someone an idea what I can do to bring the phone app to work properly and to decrease the delay when I want to get the from out of the "sleeping mode".
Please excuse my bad english, I hope you got me right
What do you mean by a new Display...I assume you mean a new ROM or kernel and not actually replacing the screen.
Are you using any sort of app that controls or underclocks the CPU such as SetCPU? I used that app for a while to underclock the CPU while the screen was off and it caused the sort of hanging when answering calls that you described.
Also if this is a new kernel confirm that is is not underclocking or using UV to lower the voltage.
Thank you for your reply.
I replaced the display for hardware damage reason. No new kernel or something like that.
I've done 2 hardware resets. So I just have some standard apps on my phone.
Is there some app wich dispays the voltage and frequency of the cpu?
Ok guys, the problem is "solved".
I thought, that I would have to live with my delay und phone problems forever
But this weekend, my phone decided to workl properly as before. There is no delay when bringing back the screen from sleep and no process hanging up anymore. I did not invest more energy to solve that problem.
I dont know what happened internally, but I am extremly happy now

Is anyone else having trouble with the Clock/Alarm stock app?

I am not sure what is going on, but for whatever reason, certain features of the stock alarm app simply don't work. e.g the option for setting side keys to snooze does absolutely nothing! This is probably my biggest issue as the other could be written off as me doing crazy things in my tired waking up state. It has simply never functioned as it should for me. From the out of the box telco rom, to unbranded stock rom and now KA04.
The UI of the app is quite nice when setting alarms, but just terrible for actual alarms. I seem to dismiss them easily as-well :|. Somehow my partner is getting to the home-screen and opening other apps when trying to snooze (no idea how she is pulling that off though). Sonic Jump's title screen at max volume at 3 am is quite horrendous to the ears
I've set every possible setting to avoid the alarm just dismissing itself yet it's still a pretty frequent occurance.
So either, does anyone know a fix and/or are you experiencing this? OR can you recommend a really solid 3rd party replacement? I've had good experience with AlarmDroid in the past but recently on my GS2 it was having some compatibility issues. With an alarm you don't really wanna risk that it might not go off though lol.
I tried the timer once to boil eggs, it shut down as soon as I locked the screen for some reason. As soon as I unlocked the screen the timer resumed from where I'd locked the screen.
Downloaded Timer instead, it's always served me well.
Gentle Alarm is my alarm clock. Been using it for 2+ years now. love it. Love to be woken slowly by nature sounds.

I think the alarm app is buggy, agree the side button does nothing (code probably ported from another Experia and not checked) pretty poor
and when the alarm actually activates and I miss the screen slider to turn it off - when I activate the home screen and pull down the notification bar to turn off the alarm - it's not always there, the only way I can turn off the alarm is to turn off the phone

Lol well at least I'm not crazy then. You can never be sure who's fault it is that early in the morning .
no problems with alarm here except the early morning syndrome hitting the slider
I have a problem with the alarm. Say I've set up an alarm that is supposed to repeat every day of the week.
But every time I dismiss it when it goes off, it disables itself, so I have to enable it again manually in order to be woken up the next day.
does it work the same way for everybody?

I was late for work the other day because I snoozed the alarm and it didn't come back, at all!... Not Sony's fault, I had set max. number of background processes to 1, and when the lockscreen process starts, that means the launcher becomes the 1 background activity, and the clock gets bumped from memory.
Oops.
