[KITCHEN] Basic ROM kitchen for aspiring Tattoo cooks [PC/MAC]

Hi guys,
Lately I have been developing a kitchen to help ordinary people learn how to build their own ROM on HTC-based Android devices. It allows you to do basic things such as rooting a shipped ROM, adding apps2sd, modifying the task killer memory threshold, etc.
The appropriate settings are now in place to make it work for the Tattoo.
Here is the link to the kitchen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
Before flashing any ROM from the kitchen, please make a Nandroid backup first of your existing ROM!
Thank you, and enjoy!
oh dsi! Great news for us, thank you for all your works!
I'm downloading
does it work with 2.1 update.zip too ?

If it is a Tattoo ROM, then yes. If not, then it will still boot if you port it, but some things may not work (unless you know how to fix the drivers and resolutions).
Thanks man
Downloading....
Nice to see you again.
thanks buddy... keep up the good work.

I don't have any cooked ROMs coming - this is a Kitchen.
No I have no need to change my radio.... just do a search.. you flash radios just like any update.zip.....
Going back on topic, if any of you are successful in building and flashing a Tattoo ROM - especially one with root enabled - please let us know.
I've built a ROM with root from a stock ROM (extract system/boot.img from windows temp), and my tattoo stucks at "TATTOO"'s screen.
What's wrong dsi ?

Hmm there must be a problem with the kernel base address used when re-packing the kernel. I used 0x2E000000, maybe I am wrong? This value is set in the build_boot_img file.
Could you try 0x19200000 or 0x10000000? Thanks!
I don't know ^^'
How can i help you to make it work ?
Maybe we can ask to tattoo's devs :/

****, now I know what the problem is. It should be 0x2E00000 instead of 0x2E000000. I had one too many zeros! Sorry guys.

Link does work, just checked. I'd post it here for you, but unfortunately I don't have enough posts yet so can't add links. Try again.

I see. Maybe you can try restoring your device's software by using LG's Mobile Support Tool. Check www.lg.com and search for Optimus P990, you should find the support page and download the tool from there.

I think he's trying to ask someone to upload a mirror for the rom.
To the poster:
I don't think it's possible for any one of us to mirror it without permission, you could go and contact the developer for him to upload a more for you.
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
I don't think theWhisp will mind mirroring
anyways he reads threads of mini section and may post here what he thinks

http://www.jayceooi.com/2013/01/06/download-csc-changer-for-samsung-galaxy-devices/
http://www.whataandroid.com/showthread.php/75130-I9305-full-flash?p=307595&viewfull=1#post307595
i suggest flash the right firmware for your country and operator from samfirmware.com....so you don't have problems(mobile data, making calls...)
but you only need to flash the CSC file....HERE IT IS....but you need premium account to get it...
