My 32gb samsung class 10 arrived today from Ebay. Was abit skeptical about it but I ran h2testw and it read the card with no problems.
Here are the readings.

You can just see it's made from Korea, real or fake?
is the writing speed a bit slow? as it should be hitting 10MB/s?
Just to make sure I tried to downloaded SD tools but I get 'error writing buffer' ?
Then I downloaded AnTuTu and here are my readings write: 15.0MB/s read: 38.3MB/s
How do they look? is the card running the correct benchmarks?
Thanks

lol I don't want 'its ok for that price'. Just want to know if I bought a fake. If it is, I'd rather return it and buy one from an official website.

That's the reading I'm getting on the AnTuTu app on my note2.
Did you use the same app? and do you know why the h2testw reading are slightly slower?

No, i used SDCard Tester from Play
hmmm..wonder why is h2testw slower..
Anyways, think it's legit. Just filled card upto 29gb with writing speed of 9-10MB/s no problems at all
anyone try a 64GB Class 10 yet?

If you can read all that 29gb back, then it's legit. If you can't, it isn't. Simple.

It is slow, SanDisk is better

I have a 1 gig Kingston dataflash pc card type 2 ata flash card. It works fine in laptops but my ipaq 3660 in the pcmcia/battery jacket dont want to know, I have trawled the web for a patch/driver, it seems the Linux boys have it all sewn up, but nothing for the vanilla ipaq, any help appreciated.
p.s. I know that the system is "aware" of it, because I ran a program called card probe and this picked it up right away, it seems that the software in the ipaq is very choosy about its memory guests.

tru loking thru these links:
http://www.tjotala.com/hardware/storagebrick/default.htm
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/HandheldiPAQ/us/locate/48_1334.html
and apparently when you upgrade to ppc 2002 the problem will go away:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/HandheldiPAQ/us/download/16541.html
although I have somewhere at the back of my mind that I might have downloaded from US IPAQ news group the a/m driver ... few months ago, let me search for that
regards,
monika
Thanks for that, however I have tried all those solutions, I have also tried on several ipaqs, several pcmcia sleeves and various os versions, the only way I can get the system to see it is to load the microdrive atadisk.dll, problem now is that I can only get half the storage space. I have also plugged the card into laptop and used partition magic, even that is now only reporting 50% of total space. Weird eh?
well, strange enough ....
while using IPAQ I have been playing with SANDISK ATA flash cards od 1280MB memory ... no problem whatsoever on 37xx/38xx/39xx etc
maybe u should update to ppc2002 ... or format the card with different drive geometry, rather DO NOT use partition magic for that purposes but simple stuff like:
http://www.cnetx.com/Format/download.asp
(and follow the link)
or
http://www.pocketpccity.com/software/pocketpc/StorageTools-2002-4-5-ce-pocketpc.html
that might help - format in FAT16 etc, and those a/m tools allow for checking the card for hardware errors
regards, monika
spent some time digging through my files .... didn't get
the driver I have promised - sorry

Hey guys. I was just looking at Slickdeals.com and came across this AWESOME deal: http://www.frys.com/product/6427462
It's a Wintec (American company) Class 10 16GB Micro SD card... for TWENTY NINE NINETY NINE. I don't know about you, but that's the best deal I've EVER seen for a SD card of that speed and capacity.
Awesome. I would've jumped on it right away if I didn't get an 8GB class 10 a month ago

Regardless of whether it can or cannot read that class, generally when I transfer files, especially larger ones, to the sdcard I use my microSD mount. So the higher class helps there.

Most cards state the minimum write speed so in this case it is 2mb per second but usually the speeds are higher especially with brand name cards. My class 2 Sandisk card writes at class 6 speeds, test it with a reader connected to the pc.
It seems the product is no longer available.
Would any body lucky enough to have picked up a new Nexus 7 32 GB, please run the Androbench benchmark on it, I'm curious to see if they have improved i/o performance.
Thanks

Yeah, it's C90 - build date is early Sept, which is why it was running 4.1.1 out of the box.

I wouldn't say ready, as in stuck in a warehouse, but they probably had option clauses in the contract to supply a 32 GB model, if certain conditions were met, price / QA / stocks levels of older devices etc.
Yes it's a C9O which means Sept build date.. My 16GB was a C8O and 100% perfect, and this 32GB is also 100% perfect.. No lift, no creeking, no dead pixels... Notta.

Yes funeral, even if sd isn't partitioned, the swap file writes to the sd card, which has a limited number of writes. Swappiness at 100 takes a big toll on sd card life

Nah, set the swappiness lower. I'm gonna take it off though. I'll put it back on when I get my 8GB Class 10 and reinstall A2SD. Don't really have the need for swap at the moment since I don't have any heavy apps installed. Just wanted to see how it worked out. Works amazingly well.
Thanks for the tip, without the swap partition we can't keep on background more than 4 apps maybe, now I can keep 10+, I tested and it's great!

Haha. Glad I'm not the only one it's worked for. But you actually made a partition? The swap file is more convenient. You can change size at will and you don't have to touch your SD and it works exactly like a partition.
How big did you make yours?

Oh ok. Yeah, that's good. I'm about to shrink mine. 500 is a space hog for no reason xD.
Highest swap usage I got was like 69MB.
EDIT: I just realized. With this, we can finally use ICS/JB. The lack of ram made it completely slow and unbearable. I'll start using it again once all the bugs are sorted out
