[Q] mount /data error - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
I have tried to search the forums for an answer to this with no luck.
My problem is that my Note is not booting. It stops either at the Galaxy Note screen or at the Samsung bootscreen. I have tried to flash the stock ROM for ICS (the latest one) and the stock GB via ODIN and it passes but the Note still wont boot..
The only error message that I get, is when I boot into recovery:
E: failed to mount data <invalid argument>
E: copy_log_files_to_data : : can't mount /data
I have no clue what to do. Please help!
I got to this point after trying to flash this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953847 with the HydraCore Kernel.. It got stuck on a boot loop, so I recovered my stock ICS backup and then it went to sleep.

As u saying that the odin flashes are successful. flash the gb rom again. make sure it's successful
then don't mind the boot loop.. just oot into recovery and do a factory wipe, wipe cache
the reboot

sorry you lost me with that one??
Flash a firmware via Odin > CWM > STOCK CM7/MIUI (Very important) > Miui ICS
Going from sammy to ICS will not work, make sure you flash a CM7 stock or MIUI stock build.
Also when installing CM7/miui from sammy rom if you get bootloop tap battery out and redo it, problem when updating CWM
I had the same issue.
I flashed stock GB ROM via ODIN, then flashed kernel with CF-ROOT.
In recovery I installed vanilla MIUI, then restored my nandroid backup, but I won't install BETA4/5 until it gets fixed.
on the last pages of the thread is a "zimage" flash this via odin and you have ur recovery back -
i've got a problem with sim-card reading. went back to beta4.

HELP PLZ
Thanks For all Who Read
you need to flash the kernel and a new rom i'm going to explain why.
first of all you need to flash your device with odin, i recommend you read a lot how can you flash with odin, the kernel and rom. you have a boot loop because the rom is not compatible with your device and i think the kernel have issiues to. see the description of the rom you flash it and see others roms and kernels if you have galaxy tab i recomend you download in www.humberos.com.br and when you learn how to flash it, put in download mode and do it

[Q] [HELP]Samsung Galaxy Ace Boot Loop

Hey guys let me start and say that I've already read other threads with people with the same problem...
This started ( the boot loop problem) when I accidentally set the CPU Settings of the phone way too high...And the phone got stuck at the Samsung logo.
So I read some tutorials and used ODIN to install a Stock Rom of the Galaxy Ace, BUT it still gets stuck on the samsung logo forever.
I already tried to wipe data/cache a tonload of times...
I also wanna say that i read in a topic that this issue has got to do with data.rfs...
Any help is greatly appreciated
Ok, here is how to fix it if you did it with SetCPU.
Go in Recovery and flash this as update.zip
http://www.setcpu.com/setcpu_safemode_toggle.zip
Hey, thanks for the quick answer.
I installed that zip you told me but unfortnly it didn't work....((( I'll hit the thanks button anyway )))
I may say that after ODIN installs the stock rom the phone automaticly boots into recovery and it gives me an error...
So it the firmware does install? If you reboot your phone, does it work?
If it doesn't work, try removing your SIM+SD card while booting.

Hi All,
I am having serious problem with my S3 i9305. I was using Amcha ROM version 2.20 yesterday my battery was dead and phone went powered off while I was sleeping, when I woke up I tried charging it but it turns on and stucked on bool logo I accessed recovery mode and tried to wipe cache and dalvik cache, but the issue is when I select wipe dalvik cache and then phone restarted it self and than stuck again on bootloop.. further when I tried to do factory reset through recovery than phone again restarted and then stuck again on boot logo..
I also tried flashing Amcha 3.0 version by putting it on external SD card and through recovery when I selected flash zip than AROMA started and then suddenly while installing ROM phone again restarted and then as usual stucked on bootloop.
please suggest me the way forward, phone is just working fine.. and then......this issue.. Please help as I am in serious issue...
Partitions might be buggered some how. Use Odin to flash recovery again to make sure and then flash stock ROM before android 4.3.
Do a wipe like you would switching Roms and restore backup if you can or flash whatever.

can I install it through odin, or I 1st try to install recovery only..
Mate install before 4.3 if you don't want annoying Knox boot loader.
