thnks,it helped man.which rom r u usin now?

A temporary solution is to use smartassv2 and set the minimum CPU frequency to 245MHz. It works for me (I rarely have this issue) and I hope it works for you.

Stupid Q: won't that affect battery consumption? And if it does, by how much?

I prefer the second choice..

An X8 that is half-dead, or one that uses the battery a bit more?

Lol. I rarely experience that bug. Maybe once every other day. So my phone is definitely not half dead. Not even close. Just wanted to know if it affects battery consumption significantly since getting rid of that bug altogether would be nice.

Nope it doesnt affects the battery conumption too much...
Just will alter it to about 3-5%...

No there is no way to prevent it from getting hot especially when you're using it to its highest capabilities. Mine sometimes even gets hot when I use wifi for a very long period. So all what you can do is stop playing for sometime to cool it down and there should be no danger of ruining your phone unless you're not overclocking..

No. I think im not overclocking. actually i dont know if i have the overclocking module or not. Im running on GingerDX v24 Stock kernel. i think that about all of what i have in my phone.

You could check if you have overclock module in cyanogenmod settings/performance/CPU and see if there is option to overclock or not.

Try to reflash rom. Shouldn't have such issues on Temasek at all.

it may occur in process downloading data in background (via WIFI) or if apps auto update is being
need to wait or pull out the battery

i think it's a rom problem,i face it when i'm on that build, but now i change to gueste.. and everything works, try to change kernel.. or rom..
I also had this problem on Parandroid CM10, no sign of life from the phone at all.
However, I reflashed the rom and now it works great.
Ok rom issue then. I will reflash it with a different one and kernel. Any kernel recomendations?

Happened to me on gueste2x v3.8 last night while I was USB tethering...and I was just pushing for a record time running made it to 160 hours and had to pull battery out to get it working again. As mentioned already, it's probably something to do about background data/wifi activity.
Nevertheless, I still recommend gueste2x v3.8  Give it a try

wow, i really wonder which settings you use and which usage type you have. hardly get 20 hours of life out of my battery. im using a jb rom which needs more juice, but nevertheless the difference is stunning. maybe i should start thinking about getting a new battery

Well i hope cm10 is gonna fix this issue forever, because this is making me wanna toss my o2x and whole android to the trashbin and buy a Windows Phone rather.. Battery life

I'm having troubles with my battery, it drains too fast! I've used battery calibration tools, I deinstalled samsung push notifications, I'm using juice defender, screen brightness is around 30-40%, but the battery still gives me about 2-3 hours of screen time, or if I don't use the phone that much, still drains to 10-20% by the end of the day. Any suggestions, please!

well, the battery problem in my case was the Dropbox app...it was keeping my phone awake all the time and the battery lasted 20-22hours tops...
i uninstalled it,restarted it and all came back to normal and by normal i mean 2 days of medium usage, sometimes even 3 days...the battery drainage overnight(6-8hours) is between 3-5% (with wifi and 3g off)...
so,im pretty new to this android world, but check out your 3rd party apps, maybe some of them is keeping your phone away from going into deepsleep when you dont use the phone...cheers
Thanks alot, how can I check when my phone goes to deepsleep?

as i mentioned im fairly new to android world, but if u got to settings>battery and click on the graphical picture, below the graphics that shows the battery usage, you will see info about GPS-on,Wi-Fi,Awake,Screen On and Charging...my guess is that "Awake" should not be full blue bar all the way, since when you dont use the phone it should not be awake all the time...
at least this was my case with my Dropbox app,but i dont know about you...if your phone was OK for some period of time then it suddenly changed its behavior, then i guess you should ask yourself which apps you have installed lately, maybe some of them is causing this...uninstall the latest apps, restart your phone and see if that changes your phone back to normal(you can always install those apps back if this doesnt solve it)...
Get the betterbatterystats app to get accurate battery readings as the built in one doesn't work very well.
Disable all push notifications not just samsung. Facebook, WhatsApp, skype, Gmail even xda and tapatalk.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175059 Greenify that ****, so your phone can sleep (you will not receive notification when apps "hibernate"), get golden kernel by lupohirp for pegasusq governor and use" noop" settings for better read only memory usage. Use a jet black background image for super AMOLED screen, and finally.. Stop downloading crap! Keep your internal memory clean for better processor and swap file utilization. Hope this helps.

[Q] Xperia TX Problem

I have been using Xperia TX for over 4 months now. I bought it with the Android 4.0.4. Everything was working perfectly well until I updated it to 4.1.2. After the update, the problems started appearing. I'm facing problems specially while playing games. When I play Temple Run 1 or 2, the games keep on pausing in between so very frequently. I tried repairing the mobile and the games worked well a couple of days and the problems came back. Could anyone help me out? Any suggestions guys???
you mean by pausing like going back to Menu of the game? or a delay like a lag?
Not only that, anyone notice that sometime the phone is lock, but the screen backlight still on and battery drain extremely fast.
Which way did you update?
Ftf, zip or Sony pc companion?

I used PC Companion for updating. By Pausing I mean that as if I had pressed the pause button. At times the game does lag too... And that's right sometimes when I press the power button to lock the screen, the screen does not lock instead the back light remains on which does cause the battery to drain fast...
I won't upgrade to JB until the problem is solve.
yeah experienced it with global, unbranded, russian and my original one. Its been a week now trying to get some time reading the forums for any solution before I will update to jb again, cause jb is a lot faster but not design for gaming .:crying:
SOLVED
first the reason of the games lag that THe CPU DROPS FROM 1512 To 380+ the corespeed i`m talking about here <<<
so i had to root and install SET CPU and made 2 profiles for games like temple run i just set the minnum and maximum frequency and its very smooth now so no problems with games..
just relock the phone and and backlit will go ..
Have you tried playing dead trigger and deadzone? Do you have any trouble?

Can you help me out in rooting the TX running Jelly Bean?
Hey guys. I try to flash back to ICS 7.0.A.3.212 and update with PC Companion again. I don't know why now my battery usage are same as ICS, not drain that fast like last time I just updated to JB. I root with Easyrootingkit and I deleted all the useless apps but not Google Now. I realize that after deleted the Google Now and restart my phone, the battery will drain faster, just leave your Google Now there and is better don't turn it on. And don't try to make any changes from the CPU especially using SetCPU, I realize if I change any setting there, when I close the apps, the CPU frequency will change to lower. I know nothing more else, but just trying to share with those who have the same problem like me last time. This method works for me but I don't know others. Now I can used JB normally without and problem.

Problem with waking up

Hello guys,
Whether is ROM or whatever to stop problem with waking up? I'm tired of this looking at my other Android devices, when I have to press power button sometimes 4-5 times. I'm using now stock LG Android 4.2.1 version with Iodak V06 kernel.

Did you set some cpu settings? Like low max frequencies or a battery saving governor? If so try a higher max cpu clock speed and report back.
When the cpu clock speed is too low the device sometimes need a few seconds to actually get up.
