[Q] What happens to my X1?*URGENT*

ok, here how i start, i counter lots of auto HARDRESET/dead.
when hardreset/dead this will happens ,:
-all contacts on PHONE MEMORY will gone,
-all Messages will gone,
-battery will be lost more then 30%,
-wasting time,
-need to align screen,
now what is the most worst part is, when i push the power button, stuck on SE logo and sometimes will go to "align screen" settings, about 3-5mins,i dont know what can i call it, SOD?FREEZE?ZOMBIE phone?

Hard Reset is by definition a full (=hard) reset to original (ROM or factory) settings - consequently most of the points you mentioned above are pretty normal. Only battery drain seems a bit too much, but that might depend on the ROM you use (or your battery's age)

maybe, i m not sure, i m just wondering, why my phone always stuck and must do that thingy? i hate it, any suggestion?

I'm not an advance member but if I were you, I will flash my X1 with other ROM. If it still occurs, hardware problem (but honestly) I have never heard such problem in PocketPC designed over WM5+.

AFAIK it has never been fully revealed how and why some ROMs create more or less frequent SODs - there are quite a few threads on that topic in the forum.
JeromeJaques19's suggestion is not bad, you should take that into consideration.
Another option would be to start off with a freshly hard-resetted ROM and adding your own applications one by one, checking carefully after each one if stability is affected or not - chances are you find a culprit. After all, it's only Windows

surely that's ROM problem.. just change your ROM.. 826x is the most stable sense ROM.. and for non-sense ROM, use Twinge ROM..

at that time, i m using 826x rom. After about 2-3 days with that kind of problems, i change to the 826x old rom, and it seems have the same problems. now i m using ENERGY rom, no lagging at all, just freeze sometimes. thanks for reply.

run Task29 (search for it here), which is a "deep wipe" of the phone ROM, then install the ROM you choose.
I personally would use a 6.1 ROM, for example Mr Rusch's with Sense 2.5 - the best of both worlds. It looks good and is stable.
I would also recommend installing Advanced Config (again on this site) and going to the power management tab and setting the last 2 options to between 30-50 seconds. The "resume" issue at is at the heart of the SODs/freezes.

Hi there everybody
I've installed [ROM][ICS 4.0.3][Unoffical Port] AOKP Build23 by vibranturk ROM.
Problems I found
1. android.media.process crashing always /almost every minute/
2. cant get in to market /meaning couldn't install any app yet/
3. cant get in to gallery
4. cant get in to music player
4. cant take secreenshot by default setting
5. sound is enabled but doesn't work. /not even play ringtones /
6. screen brightness not enough for day light
7. cant take photo by camera /android.media.process crashing/
Actually ROM is amazing. But without market its feels nothing.
Has anybody have same problem and about how to solve etc?
PS: I flashed 2 times.

You should start from fresh cuz not one problem that you stated has occured to me.....only bug is that when i reboot the batt % is off..
market works perfectly
...everything does atually
idk but just start fresh and wipe wipe wipe between flashes
i wipe before and after the flash
even flash twice just to make sure
***Dont mind the sig pic... im running this rom at the moment and its working flawlessly

Well. Today I installed again. This time it works fine. Everything went normal. Only one unusual thing is my cappy feels slow. asphalt 6 freezing sometimes. is there any way speed up my ICS?

Use Glitch v14, the included has some slight lag and glitch fixed it up. You can also LiveOC which allows for overclocking of the CPU and GPU.

Has anyone found the solution for the gray\blue signal switching? So far as I can tell it is caused by the wifi; whenever I go from mobile network to wifi data, the signal bars go gray. The only work-around has been to switch airplane mode on and off. Would switching to the newly released glitch kernel do the trick?
EDIT: I have found out the Google services problem (gray vs. blue signal) is only happening when I join a network which requires a redirect authentication OR if the power saver is enabled.

Just got this phone and flashed it with - AOKP Build23 by vibranturk ROM
I have been reading for awhile now before I received the phone. Thanks vibranturk for all the development here! Excellent roms!
1) When I start the camera app from app on homescreen and from unlock - the phone goes into a black screen
The camera app worked fine again after a reset (just turning off and back on) but after awhile it does the same thing - black screen.
During the black screen, I can press the home button to return back to homescreen
** Resetted again, and all seems well at the moment and still fine after 1 hour!
2) I am not sure if this is the rom or just my screen. Did not notice it at first when i flashed the rom. Turning on the screen to unlock the phone, ie when the light starts, i get this bright green full screen flash for like a second. It does not happen everytime and no pattern of when it happens either.
Anyone else having these problems?
Can someone please update the 'AOKP thread in Captivate Android Development' with my issues, just trying to help with the development.
For the signal blue/grey thing, Seems like it goes blue for me when i have data signal coming in, either wifi or data enabled - lights up both wifi signal (only if wifi is on) and signal bars blue.
I have power saver is enabled as well.

My only issues so far are: vibrate + sound doesn't work, touch screen is over sensitive on certain games, and sometimes using Swype in messaging doesn't input if app was already in foreground when replying.(can be fixed by minimizing and reopening the app) otherwise it's works great. fast/smooth and great battery life.

[Q] Upgraded from KK5 to LA6

I have changed rom from KK5 the rom installed on my phone to LA6 as yet I can find no difference between the two roms LA6 is supposed to be a superior upgrade? They are both standard roms no mods. Can anyone shed any light to the benefit of the LA6 rom? A lot of time and effort to get to the stage where I rooted the phone and then choose the rom full phone wipe and restored all my apps and I dont see any difference. My benchmark results are a little better but day to day uses experience remains the same....
After reading through post here I chose Franco's kernal V6.
Cheers

2. Call option in Call log
3. Touch sensitive improved
4. lots of bugs fixed which can not be seen.
5. Torch widget added.
6. Battery drain fixed.

I am on LA4 and also came from KK5. Unless LA6 is far superior to LA4 then i totally agree with the OP. See below..

[Q] Random slowdown and battery drain

Hello boys, I have a problem with my phone.
I ask you if there are a method to understand what's wrong in my Note and if there are some software that slowdown my phone randomly and sometime drain a lot my battery. I can immagine that the easy solution is to flash a new rom, but if possible I prefere to leave this option the last one.
My problem is: all normaly is ok, the phone work good. Sometims (one or two times a day) the phone become very slow, and when occured I have the impression that my battery go down more and more faster then normal.
I try to give you the most information about my phone:

with this modifications:
Hydracore v5.4 normal version (before I tried some other kernel)

Try checking under Battery usage, which app eats more battery..I think, installing betterbatterystats & checking the stats wl also help..personally, I havent tried betterbatterystats til now..

+1 to install betterbatterystats you'll get an idea of what is causing it, weather its an app or a wakelock preventing sleep which is common. There's workarounds for both.

[MOD] Without ROOT get rid of LAG on L90

Hey everyone I thought I would share that this mod from the G3 thread also works for the L90's on STOCK ROM.
I take no credit for this mod.

If you are experiencing some of annoying LAG on your G3,here is how to get LAG away (works with my G3) :
1. Enter the following based on your device model:
3845#*415# (for T-Mobile)
[Just replace 415 with your model number]
!!! Verizon- don't know,because when you enter model number of these two carriers nothing happens. Someone could check this out and tell me !!!
2. Scroll down to High Temperature Property OFF,and select
3. Turn it ON...
4. Turn G3 fully off...
5. Wait at least 10sec...
6. Turn it back on and wait about 30sec. when Screen Lock shows...
!!! NEW ADDON !!! For more speed... Tested by me for 14 days... Everything went excellent! Follow these steps after you have done those above...
1. Again enter hidden menu according to your device model number
2. Select Thermal Daemon Mitigation OFF
3. Turn it ON
4. Turn OFF your G3.
5. Wait for around 30sec
6. Turn it on and after lock screen appears unlock it
7. Wait for at least 60sec more for G3 to finish sync and stuff
8. BOOM much more fluid and much faster G3
... BUT... Now that you have activated Thermal DAE you display will not lower screen brightness anymore. So if you put it to 90% it will stay 90%,if you put it to 100% it will stay there (be caution at 100%,test it)... I put mine to 80-90%,and never had G3 hot or misbehave strangely while playing games,recording 4k video,shooting pictures... Just one thing I noticed... IT IS BLAZING FAST Also you can test it after Clean Master clean up like by Antutu and see test results.
LAG-FREE G3

I have been running the mod in my link for over a week now and my phone Flys. No issues so far I also turned off the thermal throttles and there has been no issues http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2741189

It works. The only risk is that you won't have those features enabled, which are bothersome to a lot of people here anyways.

But when he says "can't lower screen brightness anymore" does he mean like you can never change it? Or that when the phone would overheat that the screen brightness won't automatically go down?

Yes it removes the thermal safeguards so you have to watch it
