[Q] Overcome ROM based on 2.3.7 ?

Any plans of updating the code base to 2.3.7 for Overcome ROM ?
I know ICS is on it's way, but before we can get the ICS code base to start working, updating the code base to 2.3.7 might be a big improvement.
Cheers,

The Overcome ROMs are based on stock Samsung firmwares.
Without a 2.3.7 release from Samsung (very unlikely), there will be no new (2.3.7 based) Overcome ROM.
I know ICS is on it's way, ...

... but not from Samsung for our (classic) 7" tabs.

i jumped on the bandwagon a few months too soon, already off the updates

How to get update?

I have a curious question.
I have GB 2.3.6 on my note. everybody says that the ics upgrade is on the way however my note says there is no update.
Whats happening if I load up and indonesian stock rom or a rom from the country where the upgrade rolled out.
Or how its working?
I bought this note because samsung say its ics now. I need to test the video capabilities of ics 4.

[Q] Is XXLRQ the latest official version? Is 4.1.1 coming?

I am considering buying a Samsung Galaxy Note (UK) next week.
Is the German XXLRQ (4.0.4) (that apparently also works in English) ROM currently the latest official build for the Note?
Will 4.1.1 be officially released by Samsung? If not, are the unofficial 4.1.1 ROMs worth using?

latest is LRT after LRQ. For official JB check this and this.
unofficial JB roms are good and worth using but still have some bugs though.

Is there a stock google 4.2 ROM or any stock google like ROM for I9305??

I am not a big fan of touchWiz...
Or can it be expected? coz there are only a few ROM for i9305 right now...
Not that I know of, I'm just waiting for Cyanogenmod.. Hopefully some devs get their hands on our phones soon..

There are no 4.2 official roms for the i9305 as of yet. Once the s3 gets 4.2 then a few weeks later you can get an update to 4.2.
Latest you can get is 4.1.2 of the official roms. 4.2 is still in development stages
unfortunately not, although I am waiting for the same thing despite multi-window being awesome.
I did read over in the dev forum though that a liquidsmooth i9300 port is being worked on? not too sure how progress is going for that but hey it is the christmas break

[Q] Best custom firmware and help with rooting

Hi, sadly I'm a noob and I currently have a samsung galaxy n7000 UK based. I've attached a print screen on the information about my phone.
Previously, I was on the ICS firmware and since the uk version of the JB wasn't released, I updated my phone via Odin to the chinese version of the 4.1.2 JB. Then recently my phone said there was an update for my phone which was in fact the uk version of the JB.
Ever since, my phone is running quite slow and I have formatted it to see if it made a difference. The difference is slight.
Now I've decided I want to install a custom rom as I heard some of them would make my phone perform smoother, faster and also more battery-friendly.
Can someone give me a recommendation on which custom rom I should choose and give me a link that gives me instructions on how to root my specific firmware as I can't find any that mention XXLT3.
Please help?

We don't do best rom threads on xda, it's just a case of try them all til you're happy.
As for rooting, you may have to downgrade your rom to one that has a phillz kernel for it.
