Completely messed up my mini - Samsung Galaxy Mini

So , to begin with I had cyanogen mod 9.1 on my phone .
Please view this thread :
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948053
So according to that thread , my phone had 4 partitions and like one senior member said I tried using link2sd . It couldn't move files to sd card . But it had an option called create a link with sd card . That freed up some space so I started linking apps . Then android.comm.process popped up . I rebooted but my phone was then stuck on the loading screen . I started recovery and wiped my data . Then my phone got started again .
But the problem was that my phone still had those 4 partitions . So I decided to delete the sd card . I backup'ed my contents and then went to settings and wiped the sd card . I rebooted my phone . That's where the problem started .
My phone was getting stuck at the loading screen . I tried wiping cache , dalvik cache , data but to no avail and I couldn't mount the sd card or the sd card ext . In short , I couldn't access my phone .
I decided to install the stock rom again(Gingerbread official) . But that too failed , I am still stuck at the boot screen and the phone goes into a continuous loop of restart .
P.s My cwm was deleted automatically after installation of stock rom .
Edit : I was successful in installing cwm in my phone
Please help

If Gingerbread is installed successfully & ur phone bootloops, pull out the battery, re-insert it, goto recovery & do wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache. It's recommended to do this from stock recovery. I had success turning my phone on after wiping data/cache of stock rom from stock recovery. However, I did that again after immediately flashing CWM Recovery & it again goes into infinite bootloops. Better to use Stock Recovery for this.
Hope this helps!!...

Firstly if ur phone is down, u should use odin to flash the stock rom by going into download mode as it works in bootlooped devices(TESTED over 20 times) ,further since your problem is LINK2SD related u should have wiped ur phone by CWM.DONT WORRY if all else fails go to SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTRE.

Stuck at "touch the android to begin"

This concerns my galaxy note n7000. I had a rooted checkrom v4 working on my note. I tried to install criskelorom v2 and got bootloops. I then tried to go back to stock via odin and flashed stock N7000 KL3 ROM which i had earlier used, I had to go to stock because after bootloop even recovery was not working. now after flashing stock i am getting a strange problem of the phone getting stuck at the welcome to gt-n7000 screen . "touch the android to begin" . nothing is happening after touching the android on the screen although i can change the language etc and even the pull down notification is also working but the phone is stuck at the initial stage. I have a nandroid backup of my initial checkrom in my internal sd card but cannot restore it before installing a rom with root and cwm. Kindly help . Thanks.
I'm having the exact problem. I'm hoping we can create a soft brick sticky thread. I walked away from my phone last night because I was getting frustrated.
My attempts to flash stock ROM via Odin resulted in the "not responding" message in windows. I can get to both CWM and download mode, however any ROM flashed via CWM results in the behavior described by the OP. fortunately I have access to another Samsung phone, so I can double check driver installation (although it worked for flashing previously).
I'm continuing a search through the forums to find some alternate methods for unbricking. Hope someone has an idea.
Thanks!
It seems that the stock roms i was trying to flash were nonwipe ones so i flashed xxla3 which is a wipe rom and was able to boot . I then flashed the earlier kl3 rom over this rom because kl3 is rootable. I then rooted and installed cwm booted into recovery and restored my earlier nandroid backup. I think the situation arises because the nonwipe rom was unable to clear the cache , user data etc
Thank you for the information. I had exactly the same problem. What did you use to root KL3 ?
Just wipe both cash and user data, and reboot.
reboot to recovery mode -> mount and storage -> format system, format cache, format data.
and do a factory reset and wipe cache.
problem should be solved cause that's what i did

Please check if you're cf-rooted.
If you are, go this website : http://get.cm/?device=galaxysmtd and download the latest cm9 nightly .zip file.
Off your phone, Go into recovery mode, Wipe cache , factory reset and select the cm9 file from your sd card and install it.
YOU ARE DONE

here is a list of errors that i get when trying to flash from cwm :

- unable to write to ums lumfile (no such file or directory)
I'm runing out of ideas, is there something that i missed ? all suggestions are appreciated, Many thanks
Did you get errors while flashing with Odin ? If not, you are clear fromm emmc bug.
Try doing a factory reset in recovery (wipe data, factory reset)

no i don't get error on odin, and yes i tried wiping data / cache/dalvik / format system / format emmc ... many times
nothing work :/
You should try to restore bootloader
1.Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery.
2.Wipe everything - Data,Cache,Dalvik Cache etc.
3.Then re-boot the device.
4.When it comes to the Samsung logo take out the Battery and then power on the device.
5.Wait 15 minutes-20 minutes and do something else in the meantime to ward of anxiety.
6.If the device doesn't start properly try removing sim and sd card and re-trying steps 2 to 5.
7.If that also fails then do step 2 to 4 and then enter download mode.
8.Flash stock GB or ICS.
9.When the device boots to the Logo, remove the battery.
10.Disconnect from PC and then re-boot and then wait for 15-20 minutes.
Just my two cents! Let me know if it works! If it doesn't then no other go then to take it to a service center.

better flash a GB rom.. does it say pass in odin and successful? if no, then paste the logs
Try flashing a stock ODEX rom. I'd personally go for the Rooted_Stock_Odex_N7000XXLC1, as its a full-wipe, rooted GB rom. Flash that in Odin and you shouldn't have any problems.

Your last chance is to flash bootloader with Odin, anyway it wont be worst.

I just had the same thing happen when trying to go back to stock.
I have done lot of Google , and finally i am able to use my phone .
But the thing is that now i am using a custom rom of Super nexus 4.2.2
Instructions to install that rom are :
! : Install CWM recovery , use the link provided below
http://www.idroidspace.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s-gt-i9000-and-install-cwm-recovery-how-to/
And i have downloaded "CF-Root for XXJW4"
2. I have downloaded downloaded a custom rom from xda only link is provided below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219235
Just download latest build and gapps .
Once these files are downloaded move them in your sd caerd
3. I hope till now your phone is also rooted so take out battery , reinsert it and press "volume up , home, and power key together"
scroll down using volume keys and chose "install zip from sd card" press home key to make selection
Then scroll down to apply zip from external sd card
4 . Now select the rom that you have downloaded and install it
5. Now in a similar manner install gapps from external sd card
6. Reboot the phone and you are good to go now .

What Do you mean by "keeps restarting" Bro, Is it stuck on the bootanimation?
If your phone doesn't get pass boot animation and reboots, then there's only one way to fix it. Your personal files and data would be gone but I'm sure it's backed up with your google account. Watch this and follow the instructions. Installing a stock firmware using ODIN. Hope it helped

Are you currently using a stock rom or a custom rom? Anyway you can solve this problem by just flashing back the stock rom using odin. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares and drivers (check the "Preparations" section),
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
If your PC cannot recognize the phone, its usually the drivers. Once installed, go to recovery mode (hold power+ Home button) and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace. Just flash them from the recovery mode (choose "install zip from sdcard" and then select the zip file from sdcard).

The Apocalypse you are referring to is the custom rom that is installed in your phone. When you bought you phone, you had Samsung's version of Froyo/ Gingerbread installed in your phone. That rom is called stock rom. Custom roms are build by developers using cyanogen mod sources. Now you keep having restarts and since clearing data and cache from CWM didn't solve it, I suggest you install another rom. Now this is where you have to make a choice. You can either install a stock rom (stable, nice battery backup, etc) or a custom rom (fast, performance oriented, customizable, etc). Before you do install another rom, backup all app data using Titanium Backup. If you choose Stock rom, then follow my previous post on how to install stock rom on your phone. Now if you choose custom rom, then first we need to update CWM 4 to CWM 5.
CWM 5.0.2.6 fix for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830
Download the CWM 5 zip file to SD Card and reboot your phone to recovery mode (Power off then hold Home+ Power button). Now choose "Install zip from SD Card" and choose the zip file. Done! You have successfully installed CWM 5. Now time for you to install a new custom rom. Refer the following guide for all the custom roms for our device,
Know your Device:Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 ~Root~Odin~CWM~ROM LIST
For time being use any Gingerbread roms. Download it to SD Card and then reboot to recovery mode. Now choose Wipe data/ factory reset, Wipe cache partitions, Advanced> Wipe dalvik cache, Wipe battery stats, Mounts & Storage> Format /system. Now select "Install zip from SD Card" and choose your rom zip file. Reboot and you can use your new rom. Whenever you want to install any new custom rom, just follow the same procedure. Now as for the low internal memory problem, we might have a solution. But the catch is it requires a rom with init.d support (something all custom roms have and stock roms doesn't ) and an ext partition on SD Card. First backup all the SD Card data. Now go to CWM> Advanced> Partition SD Card> Size (Max 1GB, anymore and system will lag)> Swap (0MB) and wait for it to say "Partitioning done". Now download and place CronMod script (try INT2EXT+ as it is the most stable of all) to SD Card. Now again go to CWM> Mounts & Storage> Mount /system then flash the Cronmod zip from CWM. Reboot and you are good to go. Now go to Settings>Storage to see the newly increased internal memory. Here is the link,
CronMod-INT2EXT
Hope I Helped

Next time, post it in the correct section, thank you for understanding it
Follow @mahithm instructions to flash a fresh STOCK rom and the next tine DON'T USE CWM 4x, it's outdated, there are several recovery systems based on CWM 5x, they're the most stable for a daily usage and they're required to flash most of the custom roms
