I just had the same thing happen when trying to go back to stock.
I have done lot of Google , and finally i am able to use my phone .
But the thing is that now i am using a custom rom of Super nexus 4.2.2
Instructions to install that rom are :
! : Install CWM recovery , use the link provided below
http://www.idroidspace.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s-gt-i9000-and-install-cwm-recovery-how-to/
And i have downloaded "CF-Root for XXJW4"
2. I have downloaded downloaded a custom rom from xda only link is provided below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219235
Just download latest build and gapps .
Once these files are downloaded move them in your sd caerd
3. I hope till now your phone is also rooted so take out battery , reinsert it and press "volume up , home, and power key together"
scroll down using volume keys and chose "install zip from sd card" press home key to make selection
Then scroll down to apply zip from external sd card
4 . Now select the rom that you have downloaded and install it
5. Now in a similar manner install gapps from external sd card
6. Reboot the phone and you are good to go now .

Hello everyone, I probably brick my s5570.. it constantly reboots after loading the first samsung image and the second one with the phone model. i can access at the recovery mode but when I try to change rom from sd, the installation aborting after an error.Same thing if I try to return to the factory settings. Also i tried with odin but the phone is not detected, and the problem can't be a bad installation of odin or drivers because i got another S5570 and I tried it and it works perfectly. I have not tried only with jig. have anyone other ideas or procedures by suggesting? Thanks

Android system recovery ?
Are you not using CWM recovery !?!
Sent from my GT-S5570 using XDA
are you using ROM manager?
i tried to flash the cwr but nothing cause odin dont see my phone..i tried only with odin or with the flash by recovery, not with rom manager
You dint brick the phone I think...answer these questions carefully ---
1. What rom are u using? Stock or custom?
2. Did u properly download the rom? To verify, open the rom on PC and see if its opening or giving error.
3. If the above problem is true..download again and flash again
4. What cwm recovery are u using? ?
5. If Odin not detecting, have u installed KIES in PC? Without kies and mini drivers, Odin won't detect.
6. Check whether USB cable is working or not...
7. Have u wiped data and cache before flashing new rom?

Hi bro, because you did it the wrong way that's the problem "never ever, flash a custom rom from stock recovery"
now your phone isn't bricked but in amnesia and need to be revived, this is the cure :
since you're able to access stock recovery that let you flash cwm recovery from there:
1- download the custom recovery (update-CWM-5.2.0.8-touch-squadzone.zip) from here http://www.mediafire.com/?xk637cg12kt2cl0
2- copy it to your sd card (through card reader via your pc) then reboot the phone to recovery mode (press and hold power button+home button)
3- on android stock recovery hit "apply update from sdcard" then choose "update-CWM-5.2.0.8-touch-squadzone.zip" wait till it shows "install from sdcard complete"
4-Turn Off your phone, remove your sdcard then put a custom rom on it, insert back the sd card into phone then reboot to recovery mode
5- now you should see the new custom recovery, in the list choose: Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition then hit install zip from sdcard and choose your custom rom
6-after completing install process, wipe data and cache then hit reboot system
7-if all goes well your phone will boot normally like it should

Please check if you're cf-rooted.
If you are, go this website : http://get.cm/?device=galaxysmtd and download the latest cm9 nightly .zip file.
Off your phone, Go into recovery mode, Wipe cache , factory reset and select the cm9 file from your sd card and install it.
YOU ARE DONE

So , to begin with I had cyanogen mod 9.1 on my phone .
Please view this thread :
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948053
So according to that thread , my phone had 4 partitions and like one senior member said I tried using link2sd . It couldn't move files to sd card . But it had an option called create a link with sd card . That freed up some space so I started linking apps . Then android.comm.process popped up . I rebooted but my phone was then stuck on the loading screen . I started recovery and wiped my data . Then my phone got started again .
But the problem was that my phone still had those 4 partitions . So I decided to delete the sd card . I backup'ed my contents and then went to settings and wiped the sd card . I rebooted my phone . That's where the problem started .
My phone was getting stuck at the loading screen . I tried wiping cache , dalvik cache , data but to no avail and I couldn't mount the sd card or the sd card ext . In short , I couldn't access my phone .
I decided to install the stock rom again(Gingerbread official) . But that too failed , I am still stuck at the boot screen and the phone goes into a continuous loop of restart .
P.s My cwm was deleted automatically after installation of stock rom .
Edit : I was successful in installing cwm in my phone
Please help
If Gingerbread is installed successfully & ur phone bootloops, pull out the battery, re-insert it, goto recovery & do wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache. It's recommended to do this from stock recovery. I had success turning my phone on after wiping data/cache of stock rom from stock recovery. However, I did that again after immediately flashing CWM Recovery & it again goes into infinite bootloops. Better to use Stock Recovery for this.
Hope this helps!!...

Firstly if ur phone is down, u should use odin to flash the stock rom by going into download mode as it works in bootlooped devices(TESTED over 20 times) ,further since your problem is LINK2SD related u should have wiped ur phone by CWM.DONT WORRY if all else fails go to SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTRE.

Thank you sir . Had to flash stock rom again as I had installed cwm . But after that , I wiped data , cache and the phone started in stock rom ! .
Now a lot of work left to do
Im a total novice when it comes to rooting. i did manage to root my N7000, but after a few hours my phone became quite muggy...i rebooted it and on reboot it said "upgrading".
Since then it has been unusable, i did the volume up/home/power button and tried a wipe data....phone still wont respond well. keyboard doesn't work, cant get a signal, and its generally so groggy, its pretty much unusable. i managed a factory reset with phone switched on, still no better.
any help would be massively appriciated
Adam:crying:
Relax mate! Am guessing a simple flashing of the stock firmware will solve ur issue.

Ok ..
First of all if you have properly rooted your android device with (clockwordmod recovery) or any other recoveries etc you need to have a Rom to flash it through this recovery
It is recommend that you must have safe kernel before flashing any ROM. Please download any of CM10.1 ROM from the link below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1789397
Now Get the ROM for your appropriate device from the link below. Select the device and download the ROM. Use any Stable or Nightly version.
http://www.cyanogenmod.org/
Next thing you need to download Google Apps package called GAPPS. Its latest version corresponding to CM10.1 android version 4.2.2 is on the top of the screen. (20130301) using link below
http://goo.im/gapps
Put all the files to micro SD Card. Since your operating system is not working so you may have to take out SD card and put these downloaded zip files to SD card using jacket or your laptop SD card slot.
Now Switch ON your android device to Recovery Mode by Holding Volume Up+ Power and Home Button together
Do following:-
Wipe data/Factory reset.
Wipe Cache.
Wipe Delvik Cache in Advanced Options ..
Fix permissions.
then go to your SD card and flash all these files in order
Flash the Kernel first and after flashing Reboot Your Recovery.
Now Flash
1. CM 10.1
2. GAPPS
Reboot .. n enjoy your new rooted phone
If you still face difficulty let me know ..

Although i haven't reached the 'recovery mode' part yet, i can tell you that the only options are:
reboot system now
apply update for external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
the delvik cache & fix permissions are not options
Adam
Here ur options
Two options with you
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
Download clockword mod recovery from here.
Again I recommend using Chasmado Kernel and it will automatically install safe recovery files. TWRC or CMD Recovery

What Do you mean by "keeps restarting" Bro, Is it stuck on the bootanimation?
If your phone doesn't get pass boot animation and reboots, then there's only one way to fix it. Your personal files and data would be gone but I'm sure it's backed up with your google account. Watch this and follow the instructions. Installing a stock firmware using ODIN. Hope it helped

Are you currently using a stock rom or a custom rom? Anyway you can solve this problem by just flashing back the stock rom using odin. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares and drivers (check the "Preparations" section),
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
If your PC cannot recognize the phone, its usually the drivers. Once installed, go to recovery mode (hold power+ Home button) and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace. Just flash them from the recovery mode (choose "install zip from sdcard" and then select the zip file from sdcard).

The Apocalypse you are referring to is the custom rom that is installed in your phone. When you bought you phone, you had Samsung's version of Froyo/ Gingerbread installed in your phone. That rom is called stock rom. Custom roms are build by developers using cyanogen mod sources. Now you keep having restarts and since clearing data and cache from CWM didn't solve it, I suggest you install another rom. Now this is where you have to make a choice. You can either install a stock rom (stable, nice battery backup, etc) or a custom rom (fast, performance oriented, customizable, etc). Before you do install another rom, backup all app data using Titanium Backup. If you choose Stock rom, then follow my previous post on how to install stock rom on your phone. Now if you choose custom rom, then first we need to update CWM 4 to CWM 5.
CWM 5.0.2.6 fix for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830
Download the CWM 5 zip file to SD Card and reboot your phone to recovery mode (Power off then hold Home+ Power button). Now choose "Install zip from SD Card" and choose the zip file. Done! You have successfully installed CWM 5. Now time for you to install a new custom rom. Refer the following guide for all the custom roms for our device,
Know your Device:Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 ~Root~Odin~CWM~ROM LIST
For time being use any Gingerbread roms. Download it to SD Card and then reboot to recovery mode. Now choose Wipe data/ factory reset, Wipe cache partitions, Advanced> Wipe dalvik cache, Wipe battery stats, Mounts & Storage> Format /system. Now select "Install zip from SD Card" and choose your rom zip file. Reboot and you can use your new rom. Whenever you want to install any new custom rom, just follow the same procedure. Now as for the low internal memory problem, we might have a solution. But the catch is it requires a rom with init.d support (something all custom roms have and stock roms doesn't ) and an ext partition on SD Card. First backup all the SD Card data. Now go to CWM> Advanced> Partition SD Card> Size (Max 1GB, anymore and system will lag)> Swap (0MB) and wait for it to say "Partitioning done". Now download and place CronMod script (try INT2EXT+ as it is the most stable of all) to SD Card. Now again go to CWM> Mounts & Storage> Mount /system then flash the Cronmod zip from CWM. Reboot and you are good to go. Now go to Settings>Storage to see the newly increased internal memory. Here is the link,
CronMod-INT2EXT
Hope I Helped

First of all, read the forum rules in order to post your questions correctly...
There's a great Q&A Thread please use it to ask for help, this the General Thread, we must all contribute to maintaining our forum in order.
Next time, post it in the correct section, thank you for understanding it
Follow @mahithm instructions to flash a fresh STOCK rom and the next tine DON'T USE CWM 4x, it's outdated, there are several recovery systems based on CWM 5x, they're the most stable for a daily usage and they're required to flash most of the custom roms
