[Q] Vibrator problem on SGS I9000

Hello, I came to post here because I recently got a problem on my SGS.
When I receive calls, my vibrator works just fine, but when i receive messages or notifcations, it doesn't work at all.
I'll give you a little background, see if it can help :
I was on a JVS ROM, with a CF-ROOT 4.1 kernel when the problem first occured (I didn't touch anything). One week before the problem, i had just installed a MOD to solve the problem of the FC phone.apk
Annoyed by this problem, i flashed a JVT, then i did a reset factory and flashed a Semaphore 1.8 kernel. No more problem : great!
Then, i did my restore with Titanium Backup : Yikes! Problem is back.. I also installed a theme MOD based on a Somator MOD..
I tried to uninstall my message application (which is GOsms Pro) but problem is still the same..
And another piece of information : I've been turning off my vibrator often these past weeks, as I go to college i can't have my phone vibrating during a class.
Thank you for your time, please help me find a solution..

CM 7 - hello hello bug -- any fix?

Hello Everybody,
I am having an incoming call issue even with JVT modem.
The fact is: intermitently the caller doesn't hear hear me when I pick up a call.
Workaround used: hold/unhold the caller and then I hear perfectly well.
Has anybody found a fix for this? (I am already on JVT modem).

I am facing the same problem on my i9000....with CM7 ...MIUI....or ICS build (CM9) ,tried and tested different modem's but no success....I hope there is someone to help us out ...

First thing is when this happens try to hold and unhold the call.
If you use custom kernel download voodoo control app and in recording presets set it to original.
That is the workaround.

Thanks for your suggestion , i have tried setting preset to ORIGINAL in voodoo control app when i was in ICS by Teamhacksung ....but that didnt work out too ...

Same problem for OneCosmic Rom

I was facing the same problem in Build 9 of teamhacksung.. went back to CM7 and everything was fine again.. then tried Onecosmic's ICS and now MIUI.. no such problems.. so that was in CM9 only I guess and maybe it's been resolved in the later builds don't know..

I will test it next week and let u know the result. (Have installed ICS for the moment).

Had this a while back, all i had to do was move the phone away from my ear so the screen will light up and its back to normal

Tried everything..
Flashed hhb_test2.zip , different modems , voodoo control app.... Nothing works till now..
Its fine only on stock rom..
Any comments guys?

[Q]no GPS fix.. complex issue...

can any experts help me resolved tis issue on my gnote...
history:
new -> GB stock rom + root(GPS is good) -> ICS stock rom no 7ipe (GPS is still good) -> 1mth later (GPS intermittent) -> one fine day (GPS no signal at all)-> downgarde to GB stock rom + unroot + wipe (GPS still not working) -> sent to samsung and was told that its a update OTA bug issue -> firmware update by samsung to ICS ( GPS not working) -> update to panadroid + speedmod kernel latest + baseband xxLR1 + wipe + install gps fix etc etc...
have tried all apps on gmarket to fix my gps but none can fix it and have tried opening the phone check the hardware physically but no result... currently running panadroid + speedmod latest + XXLR1 baseband.
anyone have any idea how to fix it issue other than sending back to samsung...
i will wan to find out wats the raw data on my GPSkhardware pls recommend me a software.

I dont think there is bug on ICS, as such hardly i have read GPS issue on note. B'coz Note having GPS + Glonass and one of the best device for navigation.
But still you believe that is bug, then why you not hard reset device on GB ROM, later you can update desired ICS.

maybe i will try tat later... its a good suggestion...

Strange problem with keyboard

Hello everyone.
I have strange problem with keyboard (swype and built-in). I have stock rooted firmware with franco kernel r6 (but before changing kernel and rooting this problem also appears).
So my problem is: sometimes (not regulalry) keyboard is not responding (swype keyboard is not showing, and built-in is showing but not responding to any touch). Keyboard is responding normalny after rebooting phone. Switching keyboard mode not helping.
Any ideas what is cousing this problem, how to repair this issue??

Hi sq4ind,
i would recommend you, to flash a CustomROM like CM9 or whatever.
If you don't want to do this, try to flash your current ROM again / save your data and do a factory reset

same problem over here with an all original Note,
so no custom or anything like that.
After restart it's fine....... 'till it happens again....;-(
Maybe a flaw in Icecream ???
.... today the same bug again, i rebooted and turned
off Swype. Works fine from 10am till 21 pm....
I noticed that the battery went empty real fast and
that my phone was real hot this morning and that
while i had nothing running....
I just turned off Google Speach Typing (or how is it
called in english???) and turned on Swype again.
Let you know my findings tomorrow.

[Q] C-ROM mix 6.0 phone changes its settings by it

HI,
This problem starts about one day after the installation of the rom.
It changes it's settings without any reboot.
It the sound, keyboard, vibrant settings be the only settings changed it would not be a problem but that's not all.
The icon space for the status bar on the left from WiFi, Signal, bater etc is not showing any staff.
The middle button is not working at all.
The sound for the incoming messages and notifications is not working.
There is no notification for the incoming calls
After a hard reset the phone works fine for a noter 30 hours and "crashes" again.
Can this problem by in any way repaired ?

I've been using C-RoM Mix v6 since the 1st day of its release and I'm not experiencing any of the problems you mentioned. I suggest you re-flash the Rom with full wipe plus format /system. If you came from GB, it is recommended to flash a CM9 ICS first before C-RoM to avoid any post-installation problems.

Hi, I was using C-ROM Bean before(starting from 2.0)and I newer had this problem. Each time I'm installing a new version, I do it from GB>CM10>C-Rom. Each step is followed by a factory format and data and cache wipe.
I've change the Bean(in 2.4 ver.) version to Mix(6.0), because of the a gps problem.
Could this be because of the CM10(nightly version) I'm installing before the C-Rom ?

Yes that might be the cause of your trouble. The recommended way is to flash CM9 before C-RoM. I suggest you re-flash as recommended.
